One of the best desserts I’ve had in a long time. I have been wanting to try one of these cakes ever since I received an email from Houston Tidbits describing them and today was my lucky day. I went to the farmer’s market at city hall on a mission. I stopped by the table and the two ladies were very pleasant. I had a sample if the cinnamon chip and I immediately had to buy it. I also brought the chocolate chip for my son to try. The cinnamon chip is very moist on the inside with a nice flaky crust on top. There is no way you will be able to take one bite and not go for another and another. I can’t wait to try their other flavors.

I recently tried the Gooey Butter cakes and they are amazing. My wife and I had ordered them and they arrived the next day. Talk about service! I would recommend the Gooey Girls to anyone who wants a sweet treat!

I ordered a Box of Cakes for Christmas to give to my family… everyone in my family agreed that the cakes were the best thing ever! We tried all of the flavors — they are very flaky top, gooey sweet center, and a buttery crust. I would completely recommend these cakes and are worth all of the $ 5. One cake feeds 2 people, but my husband ate all of one!

Picked up a Gooey Butter Cake from the Gooey Butter Girls’ booth at the Farmers Market at Imperial in Sugar Land, for 5 bucks per cake(Side note: the market opens every Saturday from 9am-1pm). Price seemed a tad high for such a small cake BUT it was delicious and worth my five dollars! What i had was a thin layer of coffee cake in a 4″-diameter pie dish, with a very flaky top, gooey sweet center, and a buttery crunchy crust! I found hints of citrus(orange, maybe) in the cake, and it was moist, rich, and yummy! If you would like a grab a few of those delicious cakes, better act quickly because the cakes usually get sold out fast at the Farmers Market! i love the Gooey Butter Cakes and the Girls! :)

I was recently visiting the Houston area and went out to dinner in Sugar Land, TX. My family and I happened to walk by the Sugar Land Farmer’s Market in the middle of the town square and found a little gem called The Gooey Butter Girls Cake Co. These 2 girls were selling cakes at the coolest looking booth— they were the«Gooey Butter Girls.» We stopped for a sample and there was no way we were leaving without buying some of their cakes. We ended up buying 3 small cakes($ 5/per) — one for each of us – The Original, Cinnamon Chip, and a Red Velvet. These cakes are absolutely delicious– I have never tasted anything like it! I highly recommend stopping by their booth and trying some– we will definitely be ordering online in the future!
