A nice little pocket of New York style inside Sugar Land. A very busy place, party of 5 took about 30 min to be seated. The service was friendly and it seems like a sufficient place to take a family. We ordered a pizza with pesto. I must confess, I do enjoy a good pie and I can be a little pretentious when it comes to brick oven style. I was curious when I heard about the filtration system that allows the replication of the water from NY. It’s key to ensure the same dough taste. I was a bit disappointed. For the average person I don’t think they minded but the texture was a tad too rubbery. The pesto was also lacking the full punch from a fresh, authentic pesto. Everyone in the party seemed to enjoy the food. If you normally avoid chains and you go in with that mentality, you’ll be more sympathetic.

Extremely extremely extremely slow. They just can’t compete. I called in a take-out order and was told it would be ready in 25 to 30 minutes. An hour and 13 minutes later it was ready. So slow! And, when they finally got my order packed up, it was wrong. The pizza is only pretty good but it’s very expensive. One small pizza, salad for two, and a single iced tea, with tax and tip, $ 43. I’m not making this up. There’s too many places making pizza to put up with this rigamarole.

I love Grimaldi’s for a pizza place. The Caesar salad and Spinach salad are excellent as is the pepperoni pizza. Location in First Colony Mall is convenient and has an outdoor patio for those nice days. Never had bad service or food

This is one of my all time favorite places to eat but it seems like it’s slowly going down hill. Whoever the new manager is needs to get it together, the past two times I’ve gone it’s been over an hour and a half wait for pizza, yes it’s busy, but before when it was busy it still was speedy. Last time I went we ordered a double pepperoni pizza and instead they double cut it(cut into tiny kid sized slices) and did regular pepperoni, and still tried to charge us the extra 4 dollars. The time before that they over cooked our pizza, and the manager held it up and yelled at the cooks in front of us; where we could see them trying to cut away the burnt parts. It used to be amazing and the pizza is still great but the service and management is getting worse.

This pizza is my favorite pizza in the world. Unfortunately, it took over an hour to get it. In fact, I am currently waiting for it… And it’s still not here. Hope I get it one day! Here’s to hoping!

Word for word the lady on the phone said, «it’s going to be one hour, do you want to put your order in or not» I get you’re busy, but learn how to politely talk to your customers.

This is a spacious and nice restaurant with outdoor seating. The staffs are friendly and nice and service is fast! This place get really crowded on the weekend so if you don’t want to wait long then come on weekday. Brooklyn bridge pizza(2⁄5) — the ingredients are fresh but you hardly taste any sausage and the cheese tasted like eggs :/but I do like it that it’s crunchy. Garlic pizza(3⁄5) — my boyfriend customized his pizza and it tasted decent. Honestly I don’t see the hype, unless you love love pizza then this place is not for you. I don’t like pizza much so the pizza has to be really good for me to enjoy it.

As my rating stated, «Yay! I’m a fan» of this place. Came here for the first time for a double date and had a lovely time. My friends have been here so they knew to make reservations ahead of time for a table of four on a Friday night. The four of us ordered two large pizzas, one with white sauce and the other one with red sauce. The pizza took a while to come out as expected. I wouldn’t say it’s the best thin crust pizza I have had but it’s probably the best I’ll get in Houston/Sugar Land. The pizza is a bit on the pricey side for me but it’s not too bad if you’re sharing with a group of people. What really won me over is their customer service. My girlfriend and I wanted to order a bottle of wine and couldn’t figure out which one to order. The waitress was super patient and nice to let us try different kind(four) of wine until we can decide on a good bottle of Pinot Noir from Italy. I’m just so glad they opened another one in the city so I can indulge in some oversized thin crust pizza without making the drive to Sugar Land.

The host seated us with expertise. That was where the professionalism ended. We watch 20 waiters stand around and not greet us for 5 minutes. After watching in amazement as waiters walk by it’s like we didn’t exist, we finally left and went to the Bluefin across the street. It may have the best pizza on Earth, but what good is it if they don’t take an order? Unbelievably bad service. First and last time at this place

If you like thin crust pizza, this might be the place for you. If you don’t, though, it might not be worth the cost at about $ 20 per small pizza(either adding toppings individually or ordering one of the chef’s pizzas). Or maybe you’re in Sugar Land at 9:30pm and every other pizza place is closed– Grimaldi’s is open until 11pm! Rejoice! The service was really friendly, and he even brought us out a bit of bread and olive oil when we begged. We ordered two personal(12″) pizzas, one pepperoni and one white pizza with ricotta, spinach, and mushroom. They took a little over 20 minutes from ordering, which felt like forever.(The second one wasn’t out until 25+ minutes). Considering they’re going into a coal-fired brick oven and are thin, this seems pretty slow, and is something I wish they’d improve upon. The pizza was crispy(if you like it crunchy, you’ll like theirs!) and the pepperoni delicious; our white pizza combo was also a winner. The personal size is still more than enough for one person: we shared two pizzas and still had 4 slices leftover at the end of the night. I love the inside of this restaurant with the New York decorations everywhere, the brick, the checkered tablecloths, the warmth of the place. It would be a nice place for a family night out or another group of people.

If your coming on your birthday it maybe worth it with the coupon. Otherwise it’s overpriced for the quality. When I can honestly say I would choose Dominoes over a pizza establishment you know they are in trouble. The look of the place is fine as they are trying to be classy. The pizza is just too ordinary for a $$-$$$ price.

Grimaldi’s is one of the best restaurants to get thin crust pizza in Sugar Land. Their prices aren’t cheap, but I have been here several times and everything is consistently good. What I like here: 1. Spinach salad, hold the onion(a large is plenty to share between 4 – 5). 2. Caprese salad(enough for 5 if everyone takes 1 portion). 3. Italian sausage and green bell peppers on red sauce. Don’t forget to ask for oregano and garlic powder to sprinkle on your pizza! Tip– call ahead to reserve a table(at least the day before) or you will be waiting for ages! Also, they will provide balls of pizza dough for kids to play with while waiting if you ask for it!

We ordered the House Salad, the Brooklyn Bridge pizza, and the Amaretto Cheesecake. Thoroughly enjoyed all three! The ambience of the restaurant is very nice. We came in when the restaurant wasn’t too busy — around 7 on a Wednesday, and the waiting time between ordering and when the pizza arrived was very reasonable. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area!

One of my favorite pizza restaurants in the whole city. Worth the drive out to Sugar Land. First, let me get some negative points out of the way. From the time you put your order in for the Pizza, it usually takes about 40 min to come out… especially when they are busy. The servers are usually good about giving you a heads up about this. Best to order a salad before hand(more on that later). Also, this place is pretty expensive on the toppings. I think your best bet is to keep your pizza simple. These pizzas really don’t need a bunch of toppings. On to the good stuff. Their Mediterranean Salad is a must order. Especially, when you consider the wait time for the pizzas. A small is a pretty big portion itself and can easily be shared for up to 2 – 3 people. The salad itself tastes great and fresh and you can tell they are using high quality produce. I would only go with a large salad if you have 4 – 5 people. My favorite pizzas are the pepperoni and italian sausage with grimaldi’s red sauce and the pesto pizza with chicken, garlic, and ricotta cheese. Both are fantastic and even better with some nice wine :) Have to knock of one star for the prices on toppings. They seem pretty outrageous to me but at least they are using high quality products.

A group of friends and I decided to stop by for lunch on Saturday since we were in the area. We manged to get there a few minutes after they opened, so we didn’t have to wait to be seated. With the exception of one of our friends, it was my and everyone else’s first time having Grimaldi’s pizza. So… The restaurant is at a great location and both the outside patio and inside of the restaurant are very pretty. The staff was really nice and our first pizza, Chicken and Spinach, only took about 35 minutes which was good because we were super hungry. It was delicious and had a very clean feel to it. The pepperoni pizza was the second pizza to arrive. It was not as good as other pepperoni pizzas I’ve had.(I prefer Star Pizza’s pepperoni pizza). I thought the pepperoni looked and tasted a bit weird, but was still edible. By the time we finished there was only a few other persons, so I’m guessing it starts to get full later in the afternoon, since my friend said waiting time is usually around 1 – 2 hours just to get a table. Would I wait that long for their pizza? No. It was good, but it wasn’t great.

We came here on a Tuesday night(FYI — half off selected wines on Tuesdays) to celebrate my friend’s birthday. We were seated in 10 minutes — not bad. We ordered a large pizza with onions, garlic, sausage, and mushroom. It was very tasty, especially when it’s hot out of the oven! As a New Yorker, I can’t say it’s the same as the Grimaldi in Brooklyn but it’s the closest to what I can get in Texas. The crust is not as thin as the one in Brooklyn. For dessert, we ordered Oreo Cheesecake. It must admit, it was one of the better cheesecakes I’ve had. It wasn’t too dense or heavy. It was adorned with perfectly cut pieces of Oreo pieces. The service was good. The waiter checked on us several times to see how we were doing. I’ll definitely be back!

This is hands down one of my favorite pizza places around. I’m a sucker for brick oven pizza, and Grimaldi’s definitely does it right! Their menu is pretty basic. Salads, pizza, calzones, and desserts. Nothing too complicated. Be ready for a wait on a weekend night. I’ve never been and waited less than 30 minutes. Luckily, you’re in the Sugarland Town Center and there is plenty of shopping to do within walking distance to kill time. They will text you when your table is ready. Also, from my experience, from the time of ordering until you get your pizza is kind of a long wait. For wait time and value of pizza I ding one star. Their Caesar salad is really good on its own, but we always top it with grilled chicken. Our family of 4 always orders one large pizza with various toppings and we also order a calzone. Today we ordered a pepperoni, fresh garlic, and Italian sausage pizza. When the pizza came out, they accidentally added ricotta to the pizza. The manager offered to let me try it and return it if I didn’t approve. I tried it, it tasted fine, plus I didn’t want them to just waste a large pizza. He was very apologetic and offered free cheese cake to our table for the inconvenience. Great customer service. Previously deducted star for rating added right back for excellent customer service! For the calzone, we added chicken sausage, mushroom, and spinach. It’s the best calzone I’ve had also. Those two items fill us up completely, and we still have plenty of leftovers, and who doesn’t like next day leftover pizza? Overall, this place is the best. Great food, great customer service, and great atmosphere!

Tuesday nights are wine half-off nights! Came here for ladies night out, enjoyed great service and despite the mistake with their pizzas, we were very much taken care of, which I really appreciated. We ordered 2 large — one white with mushrooms and meatballs(not actually meatBALLs but slices, better than I imagined), the other red with spinach and sausage, both good but came out Medium instead of Large! We got many an apologies and were offered discount or compensation pizza. In the end, our bill was cut in half, and our amazing waiter got us dessert samplers for the whole table, thanks Grimaldi’s! We will be back!

Pizza is delicious. BUT Pizza is expensive. Great environment in an old warehouse/cityscape ambiance. Been going to Grimaldi’s across the states for the past several years and they have consistently good quality and servic… wait right there. The service is not great here. At THIS location, service is average. Young servers and waiters with poor manors. They are nice to you directly, but have poor conduct with coworkers and customers they, I assume, are friends with and cater to with higher regard than other customers. Tip: Try ordering 3 or less toppings. This will keep the cost down, and won’t overload the pizza so it’s easier to maneuver into your gullet. For the price and service here, might want to check out Jupiter Pizza and Waffles just down the street where the price isn’t better, but as mentioned, the service is held to a higher standard. But the taste and quality of food is hard to beat here at Grimaldi’s… that’s what keeps me coming back.
