Delicious food. I had the sesame chicken for delivery at work. The food arrived in less that 15 minutes and was still hot. Two of us ate the lunch portions, there was still some leftover, with sodas, and it was just at $ 15. Can’t beat speedy service while trying to get a quick bite. I was happy with the overall service and I will be ordering from there SOON!

I always love finding hidden jewels and this is certainly one of them! Great food, great service + CLEAN! I’ve been enjoying this little spot for about 5 years now so shame on me for taking so long to sing their praise. They also deliver so that’s an added bonus for my last minute office lunches. I am particularly fond of the Curry Shrimp. Yummy! …placing an order NOW! :)

The Kung Pao shrimp was very good and tasty, but skimpy on the shrimp heavy on the peanuts and vegetables –about 5! Chicken wings were old and reheated. I know my chicken, cant fool me!

Jade café to me serves the best Chinese food in the city. Food is always prepared freshly and your order comes out in like 5 – 8 mins. and they give a pretty big portion. It’s a small place in size and ambiance is ok. I would not recommend this place for a large group. You may experience seating issues. Prices Are very reasonable for the quantity they serve and they have an all day special available. I like the beef Lomein and general Tso chicken. The Lomein was excellent t in taste and very well seasoned. It was filled with ingredients. Also, their hot n sour soup is delicious in taste. Seasoned to perfection. Two thumbs up. Definitely worth every penny and I’ve become a regular at this joint. The workers seem very friendly and service oriented. Give them a try

Wow… Literally as of a couple minutes ago just had the best Chinese food I’ve ever had in my life. Earlier in my pregnancy I thought I’d never have Chinese food again after a disgusting encounter but I was later lead to this restaurant and all I can say is wow. I ordered the combo of sesame chicken with vegetable fried rice and a vegetable egg roll and another order of Kung Poa Shrimp. Everything was very delicious!!! I got my food delivered and I was a bit skeptical of my food possibly being not hot and all of my food was fresh and hot! Just enough sauce on the sesame chicken and kung poa shrimp. The vegetables in the kung poa shrimp are very tasty as well. Also my wait time for delivery wasnt long at all! I will definitely be a regular of this restaurant!

This is the spot that most of my coworkers go to for Chinese in the area. We go for lunch every couple weeks and it’s always consistently good. The price is great and the food is good, not much to complain about. I usually get the lunch special General Tso which comes with an eggroll(or crabpuff, if you want) and have a hard time finishing all the food they give me. They also have bubble tea here, so I usually am leaving with some boba in hand.

Consistent and delicious food. The service was awesome and the portions are great. This is a super casual place which focuses on service and food. The girlfriend and I went for dinner and round up heading back the next night because it was so good. The general tso’s chicken is the best around. It is lightly battered so you can still taste the chicken and feel a crunch. The sauce is think enough to coat the meat but not leave the chicken swimming in it. We also had beef satay with peanut sauce. It was delicious. The snap peas and peppers really gave the needed crunch to the peanut flavored satay. The beef was tender and generous. The beef chow ho fun was exceptional. The noodles and beef were cooked to perfection and the sauce was the perfect compliment to the dish. Crisp green onions really set it off. The special fried rice is good. There was shrimp and beef until the last bite. They seem to be boiled the rice or prepared it in another fashion. The grains seemed broken but they had great texture and flavor. The crab puffs and egg rolls have great flavor. Don’t forget your hot chili oil and hot mustard. I can’t wait to go back and try the mongolian beef or even a chicken curry. If you’re in the SW side of town you have to check this place out.

They are obsessed with good service. I couldn’t empty my water glass because they kept refilling it so promptly. Good food, good prices.

Decent chinese food for the price. I usually go to Bellaire for my Chinese food but I wanted to give this place a try since its near my house. Content with the items I ordered. * Hot & sour soup with fried croutons — yum! * General tso chicken lunch — I liked that the chicken wasn’t full of batter and a very generous portion * beef chow noodle — noodles were a bit over cooked and dry. Could have had more meat * pan fried pork dumplings — yum! I will be back. And there’s a drive thru!

The food here tastes so fresh and seems made to order. It does not taste processed or premade like other generic Chinese restaurant food. I could not believe the two very large containers of soup we received that was so fresh for only $ 3 each. I love the chicken dishes. And the tapioca taro tea is such a treat! They have a drive thru for convenience. This place is a hidden gem!

I had been craving good Chinese food and found it here. It’s my first time coming, I don’t live in the area, but if you do and would like quick service, reasonable pricing for nice portion of meals, this place has it. I sat down and within maybe 15 min or less of ordering had my meal.(Consider it was Sunday and not many customers, but still!) I had the chicken broccoli, It was nice and hot, the fried rice and egg roll didn’t disappoint either. Definitely filled my craving for Chinese food. If I’m in the area again, I know where to come for Chinese food.

This place is great. I’m from NY and I was obsessed with NY Chinese take out. This is the closest I have gotten in the Houston area. The Sesame and General Tso Chicken were my favs when I ate meat. Cooked well, not fatty and balanced flavor. The fried rice is also divine. Very clean and fast delivery. Try this place out!

3.5 if I could give it that. Good for lunch, clean restaurant, friendly staff and good lunch prices. Had a good size cup of Hot and Sour soup and a good portion size of Triple Delight for lunch.

It’s been tough to find a really decent Chinese restaurant. I happened upon Jade Café about a year ago and omg is it delicious. I’ve only tried a few items on the menu specifically General Tso’s Chicken, Beef and Broccoli, Orange Chicken, and Sesame Chicken. All of them are delicious each and every time. I had strayed away from Chinese food after I had food poisoning from a take out place a long time ago, but Jade Café has excellent quality, never get sick, the food is amazing, and the service is excellent. Specifically Carlos is awesome. He’s really personable, remembers your orders each time you come in, and he’s fluent in Cantonese and Spanish so he can communicate to the staff easily. He spoils me whenever I come in so I try to always come in on a day that he’s working. The rest of the staff is great too, but I’m a sucker for this guy. He’s so cool. The décor of the place is a bit dated, but it’s very clean in general and I always enjoy eating there(at least once a week). If you want some great Chinese food at a reasonable price, definitely check out Jade Café.

I hadn’t been to JC in about a thousand years… or maybe 2 yrs, so I thought I’d pick up some take out. It was still early enough to get the daily combo specials so I thought I would try the Hunan Chicken w/fried rice and pork eggroll and also order my usual Mongolian Beef w/steamed rice as a back up in case I wasn’t happy with the other one. The guy on the phone said ten minutes… hmmm. I know it’s not a lot of food but is this gonna be fresh? So I get back home with my orders, open, and start tasting. Fried rice was lacking flavor. I don’t really like to add anything to food immediately cause I want get a complete flavor from what I’m eating first. That rice needed something, soy sauce, duck sauce, fish sauce, something. On to the Hunan Chicken. The meat was tender and tasted ok, lots of veggies, in a reddish somewhat savory sauce. I started to get full and saved the other dish to take to work for lunch the next day, which I planned to do with the leftovers anyway. At lunch my Mongolian beef was just the way I remembered it. Mmmm mmmm good. Note to self, stick with the steamed rice. Go for what you know. Good for a quick fix.

My search for a decent chinese place in the greater houston area had been futile for the past 13 years I’ve been here till the day I came across this little gem on Unilocal.Oh and what a relief it has been! With this awesome contemporary and modern chic interior, Jade Café is unusually inviting given the standard of most sit-down or take-out OR buffets in Houston. Service is extremely friendly. typically not a very place so they tend to be very attentive! The food is where the magic happens. I have tried alot of thier apps and entrée and they are all extremely good. The veggies and always fresh and the sauces are robustly flavorful and spiced to your individual liking. One thing that truly stands out is thier meats. Not only the quality but specifically the quantity. One of my biggest pet peeves is having a dish like sesame chicken that has little pieces of chicken in a thick clumpy breading. Theirs is always big chunks of meat lightly battered and heavily sauced!

The food is really good and for a cheap price. I had the special combo and it filled me up, and I like to eat a lot. I’m a little girl with a big appetite. And the service here is excellent. Usually at some places, you would have to ask for more water, but the servers would fill up your glass even if it wasn’t even half empty. Love this place. It’s delicious. Definitely coming back!

According to Foursquare, I was last at Jade Café in December 2011. I remember ordering the Singaporean style noodles and thinking it’s NOTHING like Singapore. There was too much turmeric, and the noodles were abnormally yellow. Yuck. I threw away over half of the dish. The dog, who accidentally got into the trash, ate the other half of the noodles though and surprisingly didn’t have an upset stomach. At all. I guess that tells you something about the food LOL. But based on taste alone, I would’ve rated this restaurant two stars(Meh, I’ve experienced better) for the noodles. Tonight I tried this place again because I was tired of always ordering phở down the street. It’s convenient to order ahead of time. I referenced their website(while not driving), called while driving, and as promised, the food was ready within 15 minutes. I picked up the food through the drive-thru which is a unique feature of the Asian restaurants in the area. For $ 24 and some change pre-tip(but includes tax), I ordered: Large egg drop soup: Lots of cornstarch based on how the soup congealed, but not bad. I think you’re supposed to add the enclosed deep fat fried wonton noodles, but they typically don’t go in egg drop soup. The soup contains more than just egg — also contains peas and carrots, which I found interesting. The soup was kind of bland, but that’s better than being too salty, too tinny, etc. Sometimes I forget that as a Chinese Malaysian, I rarely eat straight Chinese food. [Malaysians tend to add lots of spice.] Vegetable egg rolls: You get three of these per order. They’re the same price as the pork egg rolls, but with the pork egg rolls, you only get two. The egg rolls had a nice flavor, but they’re small. They’re more like Vietnamese egg rolls, not the big Chinese egg rolls. Scallops with vegetables: I actually had ordered this initially, changed my mind over the phone to scallops with garlic sauce, and then I think I ended up with scallops with veggies after all. The vegetables were interesting because I would’ve never thought of incorporating celery with such a dish. It worked though. The celery wasn’t mushy; in fact, it was quite crunchy despite being in a thick sauce. Other vegetables included carrots, water chestnuts, and other crunchy vegetables. Not bad, and they don’t skimp on the scallops. I counted about 10 – 15. Kung Pao Chicken: I decided to try this popular American dish, and I can see why people like it. There’s spice, but not too much, and there’s plenty of chicken in the entrée. It’s almost like a five spice, but I can’t really explain. It was good. I should note I ordered the entrée versions of the last two items, which only comes with rice. You can order a combo, and that’s a ½ portion, rice, soup, and an egg roll. A combo for one of the entrees(think it was the scallops) would’ve been $ 11. I decided to just stick with the entrée for less than $ 10 and order the soup/egg rolls separately. After feeding my parents and me, about 1/3−½ of each entrée was left, half of the large soup was left, and of course we ate all of the egg rolls, in case you’re wondering about portion sizes. Oh, and one container of rice was left. [By the way, did you know those paper takeout containers can be pulled apart and eaten on as if it’s a plate??? The Chew taught us something new!] Based on tonight, I would’ve given four stars for taste, ease of ordering, and order ready as promised with nothing extra needed. So, an average of three stars it is! This restaurant will definitely be considered again as I’m driving home after a long journey!
