Maiberry

It’s refreshing to have Maiberry inside the mall. Literally.
I love the fact that they use all natural ingredients in their products as well as pure cane sugar. The yogurt is creamy and has a nice thick consistency. It keeps me full as I stroll around the mall. Its also great to finally see a healthy option inside the mall. I have been visiting Maiberry for sometime, and was excited to see that they were finally serving up tapioca drinks. I ordered my first tapioca drink and was disappointed. The pearls were overly cooked and too chewy. The drink itself had a nice flavour, they just need to work on their pearls.
Other than that, I have been content with their yogurt. Next time around, I may try out their shaved ice and smoothies. Love this cute and colorful addition to the mall. Its quite eye-​catching, you cant miss it!

This is one of my FAVORITE yogurt spots in Houston. I used to work at the Apple store in First Colony Mall and loved coming here on my lunch breaks for a quick snack.
It can get busy sometimes, but hey what do you expect? It’s a small yogurt place with limited staff in a freaking mall. Patience is a virtue my friends :]
From what I can remember from the conversation I had with the owner (who by the way is extremely friendly and awesome!), they moved down from Colorado and did really well there! The reason why I love this place so much is because every now and then they’ll have HONEYDEW flavored froyo, which I haven’t been able to find anywhere else! Not even in other cities! Also, I love their mango-​flavored froyo as well! Most other places offer that artificial powder flavored mango, but not at Maiberry’s!
I just realized almost every sentence used in this review ends with an exclamation mark… lol
But that’s exactly how I feel about this place!!! heheheh.

If I could give this place a minus rating, I would. I think I must have gone to a totally different place to where these other people are rating! It was a horrific experience!
We went here with our recently purchased groupon, it was a disaster from start to finish.
1. The menu isn’t very descriptive or helpful. We’d never had froyo or shaved ice before, we didn’t want smoothies but there’s no description to tell you what anything is, so we had to guess.
2. The cashier wasn’t helpful. He couldn’t explain to me what froyo was or what the difference between a ‘house special’ and ‘froyo’ was.
Cashier also forgot our order — twice.
3. We placed our order at 6.50pm, didn’t get it til 7.10pm and we were the only two people in sight. By the time we got it, it was already pretty mushy and melted. ugh. Places like these aren’t supposed to take forever to serve you your frozen goods!
4. Hubby ordered the banana split ‘house special’, the guy started to make it, then said, ‘we have no caramel sauce’, so hubby picked a substitute. Then further into the making process he says, ‘uhm, we don’t have any of the things needed to make a banana split is there anything else you want?‘
5. I ordered the piña colada, huge pile of shaved ice, small sliver of froyo, small scoops of fruit, a huge pile of coconut shavings, and a gallon (ok, I might be exaggerating a little here, but it was way too much) of the gloopy, gelatinous coconut cream which tastes like sugary coconut glue.
6. The portion was big enough for two to share (but no one tells you that when you’re ordering) so we had two huge bowls of goop with a sporadic sprinkling of fruit which were disgusting.
We ended up throwing them both out. I’ve never regretted buying a groupon, but I regret buying this one. I also think this is my worst Unilocal review EVER.
I don’t recommend this place and we definitely won’t be back!

This is the best froyo place in Houston, hands down. I’ve tried lots of them out too-​Swirl, Berripop, etc… I’m not kidding, the first time I tried the original flavor with fresh strawberries on top, I was hooked. Then my husband tried it and he’s not normally a fan of froyo and he was in disbelief-​it was actually delicious. Their yogurt possesses a light yet creamy quality with a hint of tang and the perfect amount of sweetness that can’t be found in other yogurt places. All their flavors are good, but the original is still my favorite. Their fresh lemonade is also great too! In the span of two months we’ve been there about 10 times already. They give you a punch card and I’m about to get my next Maiberry free. Hooray!

Located in First Colony Mall in Sugarland, is a very nice place to get your fresh smoothies and froyos. I got large mango smoothie, and it was delicious. Price for large is 5.95 though, so no cheap, but fresh and natuaral:)

Froyo is sooo delicious, but if you are looking for something a little lighter, you should def try their Peppermint Limeaide… ohmegee. Sooooo delicious!

I love froyo! I was so excited to find a froyo place inside of First Colony Mall. When I first laid eyes on Maitberry, it was like love at first sight. I love the color scheme they use on the store and Maiberry became my eye candy. I was dying to find out if Maiberry possesses inner beauty too since I was already in love with her exterior beauty. And sure enough! Maiberry SCORES!!!
I haven’t had a chance to taste all flavors because I was told they rotate flavors. I tried Mango, Strawberry, Honeydew, Cheesecake, Acai Berry, Original, everything was great but Mango really blew me away. I’ve tried many other froyo places but never had I tasted it exactly like Mango. Indeed I am very pleased. While I was in line waiting for my yogurt the ladies in front of me ordered Mango Smoothies. I asked them how they like it and both of them told me at the same time this is the BEST MANGO SMOOTHIE they have had and they will never go anywhere else for another mango smoothie. And to my surprise she even offered me to take a spoonful of her drink and let me be my own judge. Let’s just say a spoonful of it wasn’t enough! After my froyo fix I had to order my OWN mango smoothie. Yes it was that good!
Maiberry is definitely a must-​stop for me when I am in the area. I am going to try all other smoothies because they all look so good. If you don’t know which flavor to start with definitey go with Mango! You will be in LOVE with Maiberry like I am right now!

I seriously hope Maiberry will secure its spot in the mall unlike the bunches of other businesses that have been in its place and shut down. I’ve had enough yogurt from all around Houston to claim Maiberry as my favorite. I ordered half original, half cheesecake flavor with strawberries and cheesecake chunks (don’t worry, I’ll get to that). And my mom ordered a half original, and half mango flavor with blueberries and cheesecake chunks. I really enjoyed the yogurt for not being TOO frozen or TOO soft. It had a very good mouth-​feel and it was sort of addicting to eat. The original yogurt had a stronger flavor of sweet and tang than others I’ve had. I think that’s why I finished it so quickly. The cheesecake flavor was so-​so but the original totally made up for it. After discovering how delicious my yogurt was, I promptly dipped my spoon into my mom’s mango flavor. To my surprise, the mango yogurt’s flavor was identifiably mango. If I wanted to order yogurt with a HINT of mango flavor then I’d order the «hint of mango flavored yogurt.» So I was very pleased to find that Maiberry make frozen yogurt with taste. The fruit was alright. What really got me was the little cheesecake bites — diced cheesecake bits coated in graham cracker crust. They were great and a much better alternative to the other toppings you always see (fruit, granola, cereal, etc…) The yogurt here is so great you will want to walk around the mall all day and just munch on it. However, beware, your yogurt will be gone before you can say, «Oh Maigoodness!»
