Found this hidden gem in SL! It was very quiet when my husband and I went. The staffs were very welcoming and took time to explain to my husband what each item consist of. We both ended up ordering the gyro sandwich and it was not disappointing! The pita bread was so soft and the meat was very flavorful. We were very satisfied and definitely will come back. 1÷29÷2016 Love this place still!

This was my second visit there, first time I ordered the peri peri chicken, it was full of flavor and yummy. This time I tried the Beef gyro and I was really moist, soft and tasty, fries were cooked for order so they were fresh and hot… The wait time was normal and it didn’t took them long. Prices are perfect for lunch, everything was between 5 – 8 bucks… Will definitely come back soon

First time here, got here late and was the only one in the place. WOW! I can not tell you the last time that I had a Gyro this good! The service was awesome, start is friendly. Will be back soon to try more on the menu if I can pull myself away from that Gyro!

J and I stopped in for lunch on a Friday. I agree with what previous reviewers have said… the food does come out kind of slowly. Don’t roll up to Nikoz if you’re really hungry because you will turn hangry for sure. We didn’t have to wait a super long time, but it did take longer than I’d expect for a Mediterranean lunch place. The piri piri chicken was good — flavorful and moist. The gyro was delicious. Comes with fresh cut fries, which are tasty.

Three main things from my personal experience: — I waited 25 minutes for my chicken samosa appetizer. It was very dry but the amount of masala in the stuffing was perfect. Perhaps they thought they should rely on the yoghurt dip for moisture? Which of course I didn’t use because this diner keeps kosher!(To a degree, anyway.) — I waited 30 minutes for my beef kubideh. Mind you, we dined at 2 pm and there were only 2 other tables occupied in the establishment. The owner definitely sensed my perturbation as he kept coming over asking how we were doing. We were feeling quite peckish, sir. So bloody peckish. Where the devil is my food? — The beef kubideh was juicy, flavourful, and seasoned just right. But… The platter was scant with just the meat and basmati rice. For $ 9.99 per plate, I expected some onion and bell pepper with my kubideh, as is common in other Mediterranean and Persian eateries. Or even a sprinkle of pomegranate seeds. Eh, whatever. Verdict: Like, General MacArthur told the Filipinos, I shall return. I’d like to try their numerous other offerings, although I expect my food to be delivered a snail’s trail faster the next time round.

The food was plentiful and very well flavored. If I was leaving this review based on food alone it would be 5BIGSTARS. However, trying to keep in mind that it is a small operation with only 2 – 3 people at a time working, the dining room tables were not cleaned well. There were several that still had drinks and plates left on them. I understand the shirt staff and busy lunch makes it difficult but I could have seen some more hustle for sure. One other thing that bothered me but may not some is they brought out my food and the appetizer and then about 5 minutes later my wife’s food. All in all we will come back again!

Came here for lunch special and what a deal! For $ 5.99, got gyros sandwich, which was really tasty and filling. Coworkers ordered chicken shwarma and equally expressed content.

We came here based on the positive Unilocal reviews and were ravishly hungry. Ordered a gyro with fries and the veggie platter. Ticket on order said 6:43pm. After 15 minutes we started looking to the kitchen wondering where our food was. The cashier/waiter went over to the kitchen and started to point at our table to the cook… I think they forgot our order. Mind you readers, there was only one other table occupied by 2 people who had already been served. How were we forgotten? At the 21minute mark 7:04pm our appetizer shows up. In comes another couple, they place their orders. At 7:13pm, half an hour later my gyro comes out. The couple that walked in 20 odd minutes after us? Their food came out at the same time! What a shocker other folks dishes came out in 5−7minutes yet we had a half hour wait. When the waiter came to deliver our food you could feel it in the atmosphere our disappoint yet not a peep about the delay or an apology. The food? Sure it could have been good but this experience left a bad taste in our mouth. We picked at our food, but wasn’t hungry anymore. Gave it 2 star instead of 1 since my husband actually finished his gyro and summed it up nicely, «I think it was good, I’m not sure. The experience was subpar and might have killed the taste for me.»

Amazing food! A wonderful mix of the great flavors from the Middle East, India and the Mediterranean. One of my favorite things is Nann and Hummus, but its hard to find together, but it it done wonderful here.

While visiting in the Houston area, I popped into this cozy eatery for a quick bite. Their gyros are well seasoned/flavored and overall good! A great balance of flavors that burst in your mouth. I ordered their fallafel sandwich and although it was good, it did not fair to the gyro. I would definitely eat here again and they are reasonably priced.

Really great gyro. Well seasoned tender meat, large portion and homemade French fries… NOT bagged these were from real russet potatoes, very hot, would definitely recommend!!!

I went during lunch time with coworkers. It took a long time to get our food, and we had to ask for each of the sides. They did not even give us one side — the salad! We got tired of asking for every side, so just let it go. I got the chicken keubideh kabobs, which was only average tasting. The rice tastes pretty good, but at any Mediterranean restaurant, this is a given.

My whole family loves this place! The food is great and they treat us like family. We have been there several times and each time we are never disappointed. The babaganoush is fantastic and their fries are hand cut daily and seasoned just right. We will continue to eat here!

Okay so I love small businesses and I saw that this place was very close by and had a pretty good Unilocal rating. That’s good enough to make me try it. My bf and I first came here back in March of this year and we loved it. We’ve been three times so far. The service we received was good and the restaurant was cozy. Prices were decent. We ordered a Greek salad with gyro meat and the piri piri chicken dish. I loved my Greek salad. It was made with very fresh ingredients and had a nice variety within it. My bf loved his chicken dish and the green sauce that came with it(it was lime a creamy green cilantro sauce). Overall I had a good experience here and I will definitely be coming back for the Greek salad and piri piri chicken dish. Definitely give this place a try if you’re in the area.

Stopped here one evening to try it for the first time, very small restaurant. Order at the counter when you come in, served at your table. Overall good hummus, good pita bread, good gyro meat. After we were served and decided we wanted more gyro meat, I found out that we could order by the pound. I honestly wish I had known that when I first ordered. It appears to be a small restaurant trying to make it with less staffing. They could really use someone else at the counter for the initial customer experience. It was a little difficult to communicate at the counter and he was stretched thin with the service at times. Just need a good hostess/cashier so the owner/manager can get back to managing the kitchen. The food was excellent. Beef up the service and the rating would be excellent.

Got the butter chicken and my boo got the curry chicken. Very indian style type of food… The curry chicken is made with a dark almost sweet sauce kind of like a mole sauce. The butter chicken was very good. Portion was a good size(at least in my opinion) and the naan was very good.

My wife and I stopped at Nikoz for lunch. This was our first visit, so we weren’t sure what we wanted. Nikoz is a counter service restaurant and we were greeted by the owner and/or manager. The restaurant was clean as were the restrooms. My wife and I looked over the menu and we both decided we had a craving for a gyro. For a $ 7 lunch, the gyro comes with fresh cut fries. There were three people in front of us who order gyros as well. The order didn’t seem to take too long considering they had to cook the fries and there were three orders ahead of us. The guy brought out our gyros and the plate had a good amount of thin cut fries. The gyro was loaded with a lot of meat. However, the gyro could have used a little more tzatziki sauce and we could have asked for extra. The meat was a little bit on the dry side, but not too bad. The guy came by our table to check on us and to pick up our empty dishes. He was very friendly. Over all, I’d say Nikoz was good enough to us for a return trip. They don’t skimp on the meat, so that’s a big plus. We want to try some of the other things. The owner said he was adding some Chinese dishes, but using some different spices. I just hope they don’t go overboard with this idea.

Ok we decided to try this place again since I liked it so much the first time. We went around 9 and it was empty again. For some reason every time we have gone, it is completely empty. The food was average this time, nothing special. I feel like their dish of Burmese noodles gives too much curry and meat and not enough noodles, as per their name.
