Good donuts unless you get a there after 10:00 am, then not a good selection. Lousy customer service. They don’t greet you. Just look at you. I ordered 2 dozen donut holes and was trying to see what else I wanted and she started ringing me up. There was not a line. No reason to rush me. There is a $ 5 minimum for CC.

We usually drive out to the Shipley’s on westheimer and kirkwood or gessner but since this one is around the corner from us we decided to give it a try. They didn’t have fresh donuts, the ones we got we old and over cooked and the coffee tasted like shrimp water. Won’t be back. Waste of time, money and calories.

I came here on free donut day and of course, this location doesn’t participate. I decide since I’m already there I might as well order a bear claw. I try to pay with credit card and she rudely proceeds to tell me there is $ 5 credit card limit. Seriously? I’m already being unhealthy and paying for a donut and you want me to buy more?! I had no cash with me. Ugh so I just left without it. This place definitely doesn’t understand the concept of pleasing the customer over a $ 1.50 donut.

I stopped here on my way to work around 10am. The cashier seemed irritated and was not friendly at all even though there was no crowd. I am a true Houstonian and view Shipley’s as top 5 best donuts but this was disappointing. I got the devil’s food(chocolate donut with chocolate filling) none of it tasted like chocolate and the jalapeño kolache was meh, bread was not fluffy and the 2 jalapeño slices were stacked together on one end of the kolache. There are enough Shipley’s in Houston that I will not be returning to this one. Just as an FYI they do have a $ 4 credit card minimum and they do not have a drive-thru, neither of which I would hold against them.

Let me get one thing straight. I don’t like sweets. Only some times. The donuts are 4⁄5 rating for me. This place is good for week end hang outs with friends. Enjoy a day will ya? The service is really good.

Fast service and they are open later than most doh-nut places. I wish my doh-nuts would have been hot but it is 4pm so no biggie. They are still so delicious. This is definitely one if the best shipleys I have ever been to.

Best Shipley Do Nuts in the area… hands down. Donuts are bigger… prices are better.

Mr. S and I came in here at 5am on a VERY stormy Saturday morning. In case you were wondering what we were doing out that early and in those conditions, we were on our way to his graduation(a few hours away). At first we doubted whether it was open or not considering the conditions. Mr. S double parked while I ran inside to find that it was indeed open. I was very impressed by the fact that there were tons of fresh delicious donuts already ready and very receptive staff members. I wondered to myself how they got there in those conditions and managed to prepare everything. I’m not kidding when I say the weather was awful. It almost looked like a hurricane out there! I thought I’d write this review to inform the staff that we really appreciated the fact that they were open and were able to provide us with some warm donut holes for our journey :). We definitely devoured those puppies!

Came here on the Mother’s Day morning with the boyfriend, a.k.a. Partner in «Sweet Tooth Crime!» and brought home a dozen of glazed donuts! Yay! it’s donut time, and this time the donuts were so fresh and delicious! The guy frying donuts was super nice to fry for us some fresh ones so the donuts went into our mouths very very soft and still piping hot! hmmmmmm *totally satisfied* ^____^

I stopped in for a bavarian crème and a maple covered donut after finishing dinner at Elephant Garden next door. I love the olde time feel of this place. You’ll spend less than a dollar per donut, and the donuts are awesome. Great bavarian crème with a crispy and sugary outside. I even bought a few in the airport they were so good!

Krispy Kreme? I don’t think so! These Donuts are Hot and Delicious. They have NOGREASY taste to them. Insides are light and Fluffy. Get a dozen of the Glazed and a Hot Cup O’ Joe to Go!!!

I wanted to put ‘0’ stars, but it wouldn’t let me. This is the worst Shipley’s Donuts that me and my family have ever been to. My husband use to take the kids every Friday and Monday morning. The kolaches are hard on the outside, sausage is dry, and dried out cheese, which is barely put in there as it is. I stopped going a few months back when they tried to hand me dried out kolaches again. I drive a mile more now just to go to another donut establishment. I have gone to two other locations throughout Houston and they are the best! The kolaches are so nice, fluffy, buttery, and super cheesy! I hope there is a Shipley’s complaint department. Shipley’s needs to know they are not representing them as well as they should be!

Good donuts and kolaches. Quick service. They make a real effort to get everyone served as quickly as possible in the mornings. I have often stopped in here to get a few dozen donuts for work. There can be a line out the door but it always moves fast. This location knows that people don’t have time to wait in the morning and they move quickly and efficiently. I love the powdered donuts, sausage and cheese kolaches, and basically everything else here. I have to stop myself from visiting every day!
