Took my son for the fist time today, and he was excited at first but then he was all scare to get a hair cut. The staff welcome us in a friendly way and the staff are really nice the hairstyles Erica cut my son hair cut good. She had the passion to cut his hair after he was crying and moving alot. I would definitely go back again.

Three stars is a pretty generous review for this hair salon. First and foremost, my child’s hair looks bad after the hair cut. I paid $ 22 and I can afford it, no problem. However, I expect a nice hair cut, right? Other hair stylists did a fine job with my child’s hair before, but this place is so close to where we live that I decided to give it a try. I read the bad reviews and thought, hmmm, can someone really screw a kid’s haircut that bad? It turns out, yes, they can! I’m not in a creative professionals world, and would probably do the same job with the scissors that the hairdresser did on my child’s hair. Besides, I feel the sugar land snip-its is a bit old and outdated. The place needs a make-over. Finally, the customer service was not friendly or professional. If you just need to get a boy’s hair done with the electric trimmer — you can do it yourself for much cheaper, and when it comes to scissors — save your child from an ugly haircut and don’t go here. I tried cool cuts for kids and the lady did an awesome job, so I’m going there, despite the longer drive.

My son just turned four and we went there to get his first hair cut. The place is very clean and the staff was nice. They’re computer went down that day but they were still able to get everyone serviced. My son loved his new hair cut.

We had been going here since my son got his first haircut. We went today right after school to get a haircut before the holiday weekend. While there, my son peed on his pants. There were literally 5 drops of urine on the floor, most of it was on his pants, shoes and socks. I immediately went and apologized to the woman at the front desk. She freaked out and said, «Oh my god! Oh my god! I don’t know what to do». She then ran off. When she came back she handed me a towel and a bottle of windex and said, «clean it up. I’m not going to clean up pee». After I cleaned it up, I left, fuming! I was not so mad that she wanted me to clean it up; I am mad about the total lack of customer service. When I called to speak to the manager, she immediately put me on hold for 5 min. When she came back, she had talked to the store owner who«told her to tell me»(her words, not mine) that they are not in the business of cleaning up pee and that as a mother I should not want anyone to clean up after my son”. Again, not mad about not helping me clean, just really mad about the lack of customer service. This is a kids hair cut salon. They should be able to work with kids and their parents, and not go out of their way to make you feel«less than» because your two year old peed on the floor. I called not wanting anything but an apology. I got off the phone swearing that I will never take my child there again. Oh, did I mention the screaming 2 year old in the background the whole time?

My son loves it here and they do a great job of getting him in and out. My advice would be to come in with a photo of what you want. We do a toddler undercut and it’s fast and looks great for him. I do agree that those complaining probably didn’t communicate the style accurately to the stylist. We haven’t had any issues at all.

Okay. Listen, this might be a cultural opinion, but I think all the bad reviews came from snooty people… Currently, the lady there who cuts the hair & runs the front desk is Asian… For those saying that the cut is not good due to the nationality of the hair cutter is flat out racist & snooty. Therefore their opinion shouldn’t even be valid. READMYREVIEWINSTEAD. It is fair & reasonable. Soo… We took my 4 year old niece who has THICK matted up hair who doesn’t let any one but her dad run a brush through her hair to Snip-its on a Tuesday morning and the Asian lady worked her magic with the miracle detangler. It took her about an hour, and she notified 3 other clients who came in that it would be awhile… It was their choice to leave and not come back. I even personally told the customers sorry, my niece’s hair is pretty tangled so it might be awhile… Anyways, she did not rush, she took her time & she was not rude. She was gentle, and she did her job. Now, the 2 stars missing are for styling & pricing. My niece left the salon with semi wet hair. This is kind of typical when you go to the cheap Asian salons on Bellaire. It is common that they half way dry your hair, and I understand that Snip-its is not supposed to be one of those places, but whatever. It is what it is. We left with no melt downs or tears in my niece’s eyes, so I consider that a job well done in my book.

Don’t let the asian lady cut your kids hair! She cannot cut hair! She needs to go back to cosmetic school

I took my daughter here for the first time after TGF Haircutters messed up her hair. They did an AMAZING job with my daughter’s thick and wavy hair. TGF left her hair uneven and messy looking. Snip-its transformed her hair into something beautiful and unique just like her. My daughter also enjoyed being able to watch TV while her hair was being cut. The hairstylist also sprayed glitter on her hair when she was done. It was picture perfect! So glad we went here!

I don’t even know where to start… I brought my son in for his haircut about 5:00 last week. There was only one hairdresser so we had quite the wait. I believe she was rushing because there was a wait after my son. I asked for a faux hawk with a 2 on the sides that faded into finger length towards the front. My son’s hair was butchered. The sides were awful too. Not blended. I did not have time to get it corrected before school picture day afterwards. I am so disappointed. He now has a number 2 buzz all over. The worst part was the runway strip down the center. Worst hair cut ever. UPDATE! After I gave a bad review on Facebook, the owner, Alane, harassed me via email for two days! I sent 3 pictures of my son’s haircut after Nelly butchered it and then 1 picture after we had to shave his whole head down to a 2. She offered me a pathetic apology and a free haircut. I thanked her for the apology and declined her offer of a free haircut. This was not enough for her! She kept emailing me and asking me questions that I had repeatedly answered. She accused me of lying and made the whole situation worse. When I asked for a refund, she asked for my phone number(for the 100th time) and told me I would have to call her to get the refund. NOTHANKSBATSHITCRAZYLADY! DONOTGOTHERE. EVER.

Two times I have brought my son here and both times I have gotten a hairdresser that doesnt appear to like kids or her job! I helped with my son and she did not because her attitude was terrible. If you dont like kids or cutting hair DONTCUTHAIRIN A KIDSHAIRPLACE. I also hate how they lots of items at levels kids can reach them with a you break it you bought it policy to top it off. Advice go to Supercuts down the road nicer people, half the price

We visited the salon for the first time today. We were greeted immediately and the lady was super nice. She later informed me she was the manager of the salon and had recently taken over. I believe her name was Ms. Jo. She had me fill out some paperwork since we had never been there before and she took my almost two year old little boy to her work station. She was very friendly, attentive, very good with my son, and did a great job. We had a great experience. The only negative I find is this place is super expensive. $ 20 for a child’s haircut is outrageous but I guess you’re paying for the place. We did get to use a first-time client coupon and she gave us coupons for the next two visits. All in all, I’m happy with our experience and would go back.

We took our two young kids to Snip-Its today. The biggest issue was with the staff. We waited our turn for around 10 minutes and when the next available hairdresser was available, she kept telling us that she just had to sweep up. Instead she texted on her phone and chatted with familiar patrons who came in after us for another 5 – 10 minutes. We eventually gave up and left. The second issue is with the business model. They have crammed every available square foot of the salon with candy and toys that are, of course, for sale. An activity that is already borderline stressful(getting a 2 year old and 4 year old haircuts) is made worse by taunting them with overpriced trinkets and candy. It is obvious they are banking on parents caving and purchasing the toys and candy. No thanks.

I’m not sure what management was like in 2011(year of all te bad reviews), but this place is really nice. Lots of colors, the TV is going for the kids and the stylist worked well with my daughter. I had a good experience with Lucia. My only thought was that it looked a bit understaffed, but I wasn’t sure what to expect on a Monday at 1pm. No impact to me though, there was no wait. We slid into a chair and we were rocking and rolling.

I’ve been to snipits all over the country for nine years. I have had many terrible experiences in that time, but like any other salon you have to find someone you like and stick with them. In Sugar Land go and see Lucia! She’s been in the business for years, she is always kind, friendly, and so patient. She has been giving my daughter beautiful haircuts for two years now and I just love her. My daughter knows her by name and talks about her at home, pretty impressive for a three year old who hates strangers. She is worth every penny every time!

I’ve been taking my girls to Snipits in Sugar Land for the past year and they absolutely LOVE it. The youngest especially. She’s 4 and it’s the only place that we’ve been able to take her where she actually sits still. They do a great job with the hair cuts and the staff is super friendly. The only downside is, if you don’t have an appointment, you can pretty much count on waiting for a while.

Last time we were here the lady, I think her name is Lucia, well she was good. This time around we didn’t get her but a girl with dyed red hair. I don’t think she had the right skills or confidence to cut my sons hair. Two other hair stylists had to intervene and help her. She kept asking questions like she was in training. My sons haircut turned out pretty bad. She cut it too high and left the bangs too long. I wanted his bangs long but not cut so high all around. For a hair cut that costs $ 18.99 I expect much better results. If she can’t cut they should lower the price if she cuts your hair. She also wasn’t very kid friendly. She kept yanking his head in the position she wanted. She also kept stopping to talk to the other ladies. I was like hurry up. We were the last ones in there because she took so long. I am not coming back. Too expensive for what should have been a $ 5 cut since it was so amateur. I probably could have done it better. My son is still handsome though. I don’t know why i even bothered to spend so much in the first place. Lesson learned…

I took my son here for his first haircut when he was a little over a year old. I wanted a place that would cater to kids and entertain them while giving them a haircut and keep them distracted. However, the hairdresser merely had me sit in the chair with him and hold his head here and there. She turned on a DVD which looked like a cheap 10min cartoon with Snip-its characters, and you couldnt even here the sound. My son wasnt interested. There was a jar of animal crackers and she didnt even attempt to offer him anything. I just grabbed the crackers myself to get him to sit still. With the haircut, I asked her to clean up his hair since it was growing in every direction and even it out. Even time she stopped to make it seem like she finished, I had to continually point out spots she missed. Good thing I had a coupon, so I only had to pay about $ 10 for it. A haircut is pretty bad when you go home and have to fix it yourself.
