A great local gem! I highly recommend it when in the area! Food is fresh and from scratch, you really can’t beat the home style cooking in the area, but this place is a favorite of mine.

Great food. Fantastic service. No rush and smiles. Fresh baked bread with an option for apple butter served first. Hadn’t had that before, so I had to try a slice. Amish and Swish dishes. Authentic. I had the roast beef dish… very yummy just like my great grandma made. I tried my husbands Hinkelschnitzel(pounded chicken sprinkled with spices after cooking)…amazing! Our party also had another chicken dish and some fish. All enjoyed their meals. Each couple got a desert each to split. Peanut butter cream pie was good. I think they had the rhubarb or cherry pie. I’d recommend this restaurant. The décor is dated…(hey, it’ supposed to be) and smelled a little musty(for lack of a better word), but it was clean and bright and had a nice view of a country hillside.

Ate here for lunch after visiting the Amish area. Very good lunch. I had a freshly grilled chicken breast sandwich on a homemade bun. Moist and flavorful! Homemade mashed potatoes were, well, like homemade. Coconut cream pie was also homemade and mouthwateringly good(homemade crust!) Lots of seating too so I wouldn’t think anyone would have to wait very long. I’m not sure why I didn’t give it 5 stars!

I was out with a friend hitting up some wineries in the area. We decided to grab a bite to eat. I saw this place and thought why not… I walked in and the smell of the food reminded me of my grandma’s house on the farm. Just the smell of wholesome good food. The server was cute and super friendly, made some recommendations. I ordered the Beachy’s platter sampler, Dave’s portion that comes with the Turkey. The turkey was shredded and juicy, the shredded roast beef had good favor and moist, the slice of ham was savory and tasty, the mash potatoes were homemade and good, the side of corn in butter was okay but had a taste of being old, The piece of fried chicken was good and the best part of the meal, the meat was juicy and crispy outside. The biggest down fall was the gravy, it tasted average at best and more like it was from a can or jar than homemade and it was over all the meat and the mash potatoes. The stuffing was dry and lacked flavor. For dessert I ordered the dutch apple pie and was disappointed in it. The filling tasted like store bought and was not very good. My friend ordered the roast beef platter and had the same sediments about the gravy. They do have a marshmallow peanut butter spread on the table to put on your bread which is sweet and tasty and made me want some chocolate lol. The atmosphere was dated but quaint, I had fun playing with some of the games they have sitting in the waiting area. Over all it was okay but I would not go back for what I ordered.

As a restaurant manager, I know good food. I got the roast beef dinner and all the beef was tender and juicy. Mashed potatoes were a bit firm for my liking, but real, nonetheless. Noodles were tough and circular, not flat. The crowd consists of mostly elderly people and the servers are very nice. The outside of the restaurant looks run down, but the kitchen obviously is not :) good food, great service!

I had the fish dinner. The one piece of fish came out as one long thin strip that was no bigger than an uncooked piece of bacon. However, I couldn’t even eat it because it was so incredibly tough. I couldn’t cut it with a fork! I had to use a knife. I didn’t even take more than one bite because it was that bad. I don’t think I have ever in my life had fish this bad. The swiss cheese hashbrowns were ok, and I had the dressing which was barely ok(didn’t like the gravy at all). I had a piece of pumpkin pie, which was very good and the only reason this is a 2 star review rather than a 1 star.

Our first time to visit Beachy’s happened this past weekend. We were taken there by a «local». He stated that he ate here all the time with his wife over the past decade. The place is clean and inviting with beautiful quilts used as art on the walls. The smells are homey and make your mouth water. The food was good downhome cooking with a Swiss spin. Try the potatos with swiss cheese, ham loaf, mashed potatos, rubens and the PIES! Amazing pies! We had the ground cherry pie and I can not wait to go back for more. The flakey crust and not too sweet filling satisfied my sweet tooth and eye! This will be a regular lunch/dinner stop for us when we are down in Amish Country near Sugar Creek. Thank you owners for being consistant and serving up hearty good food! If a local has eaten here for decades… it works for us and we know it won’t change anytime soon! PS: the applebutter and fresh bread… what more can I say!

As a frequent visitor to Ohio’s Amish country, I have tried many of the restaurants in the area and still always end up at Beachys. My wife’s favorite is the grilled chicken salad, where I like to try the Amish and Swiss dishes. You have to try the rosti with Swiss cheese if you go, it is the best!

We only stopped here for coffee and pie after a drive through Amish country and some quilt shopping but what we did have was pretty good. The restaurant is clean, warm and smells really, really good! The walls are covered with beautiful Amish quilts for sale, there is a small gift shop and tons of brochures for area attractions in the lobby. I had a most excellent apple dumpling, soft and doughy on the inside, flaky crust on the outside, apples cooked just right topped with perfectly spiced cinnamon sauce. It was huge but so yummy! Two people in our party split a piece of Dutch apple pie and my hubby was the oddball who ordered a cup of chili, lol. If we hadn’t been on our way to meet family for dinner, we definitely would have ordered one of the hearty Swiss style meals on the regular menu.
