It’s always a treat to stop here in the Fall to buy apples, pumpkins, cider, and whatever else looks good on a whim. Unfortunately Hillcrest does not allow you to pick your own apples. They have them pre-​sorted by type. You can get a small amount or buy upwards of bushels and pecks. Great selection of all types of apples and they have a large chart overhead that rates all the apples on eating, baking, cooking, etc. They used to give you those charts… not sure what happened to them but I have mine in a personal cookbook because it’s such a great reference. The cider is a must-​buy. Sample it right there on the premises and smile from ear to ear!
