Actually, after discovering that the fact that, IFYOUPURCHASESOMETHINGATONEACEHARDWARESTOREANDNEEDTORETURNIT, YOU’LLHAVETORETURNITTOTHESAME $&!!@#***!! STORETHATYOUBOUGHTITAT because they’ll all individually owned, I made the decision to only shop at Ace stores as a last resort. However, now, after finding out that most Ace Hardware stores NOLONGEROFFERTHEIRCUSTOMERSTHEUSEOFTHEIRBATHROOM… for some bullshit OSHA ordinance that they apparently aren’t challenging… I now refuse to shop at Ace stores period! In fact, when I was in the Suisun City store recently, and was ready to spend about $ 100.00, I ask where the bathroom was, but was told that they no longer had a public bathroom. When I ask the clerk where they went, of course they admitted that they indeed had a bathroom, but that it was no longer available to customers. That sort of «in your face» lack of concern for the people that are keeping them all employed, they’re customers… and which is usually referred to as Customer Service or in this case, as TOTALLACKOFCUSTOMERSERVICE… infuriated me to such a degree, that I simply left all of the items on the counter that I was going to buy, walked out and bought my stuff at Home Depot down the street. That is… after using the bathroom that they, as well as Lowes and most every other store I shop at, so graciously provide for their customers!

Cashiers are very attentive. When you walk in they always ask what you are looking for and know exactly when where you can find it. store is kept clean and organize and they have all your basic needs.

Great store, helpful and friendly staff and though they aren’t very big, they have a wide selection of products so you’ll probably find what you need.

I thought I liked this Ace Hardware until yesterday. My Husband and I were up bright and early and went in to get some magnets. As soon as we walk in we asked the lady at the register about where we could find magnets. At that same moment two employees, an older and younger guy approached and asked if we needed help. We said we were fine, since the women had told us where to look. We went to where the woman told us but the magnets were not there and as we were walking to the next isle another employee approached and stood in front of the magnets and said«magnets are right here». Now, I caught a little attitude comming from him but I brushed it off because sometimes you read too much into things so I just ignored it, said thank you and he hesitated but then walked away. My Husband was looking at all of the different magnets and we were discussing his needs when the same older man comes up and says loudly«do you guys need any help?» We said, again now for the 3rd time«no thank you». He also hesitated before walking away. Needless to say I was getting a bit annoyed at this point that they were hawking us. My Husband decided on his magnets and we began to walk to the cashier but I saw the clearance bin and was looking in it when my Husband said he was going to look for something real quick in an isle at the back of the store. At that moment the older guy and younger guy were standing at the paint counter having a personal conversation. I said to my Husband«okay I’ll be right here» and he walked off. As he passed the two guys the older man stops in mid sentence and says to the younger guy«hold on a second» and bee lines for my Husband yelling«did you need help with something?! Excuse me, did you need something!?» as they both disappear around the isle I said to the younger guy«Why does he keep doing that?». The younger guy says«I don’t have know, I think sometimes he forgets people» to which I responded«well, it’s borderline harassment». Two seconds later my Husband comes from around the corner and says«Hey babe, you know what?» and before he can finish his sentence I say, «your tired of being followed around too?» He said«exactly, let’s go to Wal Mart I’ll buy this stuff there». And off we went. Now I don’t know why the employees feel the need to stalk and chase you around the store but they lost our business forever. I didn’t have a bag or pockets and my Husband didn’t have a bag or anything to indicate we were thieves but it sure felt like that was how we were being treated. They keep this up and they’ll be closing their doors right back up in a few months. PS we got the same magnets at Wal-Mart for $ 6 cheaper, but we try to support local smaller businesses.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen this place open. To be honest, I really hoped they’d get this business together ’cause I preferred shopping here rather than Home Depot. I’m not sure why they closed down in the first place, I have seen on occasion the older gentlemen arguing loudly with a few customers but out of the convenience for myself, while I lived in Suisun City, I liked the ability to drive down Pintail and pick up small nicks knacks for the house. So, I visited about a week after their opening. There were a lot of workers on the sales floor eager to help customers and had smiles plastered on their faces. I was looking at the wasp/yellow jacket traps and asked an ongoing worker a question, «What’s there difference between this trap(specifically for yellow jackets) and this other trap that could trap both yellow jackets, wasps, and a few other critters?» I needed to know ’cause lately I’ve been having this massive wasp issue between a neighbor and I and for some reason I’ve seen an occasional yellow jacket here and there. The girl looks at me with the widest eyes and shouts for an older woman to come help us. She gives me this half ass explanation of the two items and walks away. I suppose walking a few isles down(Away from hearing distance) woulda been more appropriate for the older woman to tell the younger girl that she was really good at bull shitting the customers. Some of the workers are a bit inexperienced in this department, I know ’cause I had asked two other workers a question about floats for my back yard pond and they weren’t able to give me a definitive answer and ran off looking for some guy that they’d hope know what to tell me. Anyways, the prices here are a bit higher than their larger competitors but I just didn’t feel the need to ask if they price matched ’cause I’d hate to hear another phoney story about price matching, maybe they’d lie and say if I buy three of someone I’d get the fourth one 40% MORE!

It’s too bad they’re closed, but«rumor» states that they may re-open at some point, but maybe not in the same location. Overall a great store, and very convenient for those of us who don’t want to drive to Fairfield to buy an item.
