I am giving this 3 stars. On the positive side, met some friendly locals and a native. On the negative side, I got some akward stares by a local John Candy looking guy, who held off for an hr on introducing himself as the father of the woman I was talking to. Not looking me in the eye, early on in our exchange, questioning me like a detective. Dress not to impress, yet drink to a success of, «I crossed this off my bucket list». Well folks I guess bottom line here is, go with a friend, or more, otherwise, you could be the man with the golden arm or like Cary Grant in North by Northwest. The bartenders were nice & kept it cool. I still wonder about first song I payed for, which was Lenard Cohen, in the jukebox, volume turned off? 2nd time, a charm. Bt-Love on Haight St. One smaller glitter of light, in this Tarantino like film.

Your friendly neighborhood dive bar. Great place to have a cheap beer and feel at home. Fun people to talk to. I always go during the day. You should get the bald bartender with a beard. He always wears Patagonia. Super nice dude.

Back in the day when driving for«CRST» we got laid over for three days waiting on a load out of Cordelia, well to make a long story short, The folks at Thompsons Corner made a couple of newby truck drivers feel right at home. So no matter what part of the states your from, if your in Cordelia, stop off and have some good, fun, food, drinks and memorabilia, at Thompson’s Corner. And if a gall asks ya to play pool, «play» because winner gets the spoils«lol» At least that’s what she said«JK»

Most days you’ll find a hateful, phoney behind the bar. They cemented the«bar cat» under the building this week so it will die a slow, painful death! several of us had her fixed and have been feeding her for years. Go to Thompsons only if you have no heart or concious!

This place was absolutely not what we expected. We went there expecting a good dive bar and it was a good place but the bartender that worked on Saturday April 25 at 9:00pm was probably the worse bartender I have ever seen. She was so rude and I would never go back there if she continues to work there.

Great lil hole in the wall bar. It was busier than it looked like from the outside. Good selection of drinks with reasonable prices. They have a couple of pool tables to entertain yourself too.

One of my all-time favorite bars. Every time I’m back home in Fairfield I always make it a point to stop by here… even if I have to go alone. Thompson’s is a real American bar, and it’s done a spectacular job remaining true to its roots– even as the world around it continues to change. On another positive note, I’ve been to bars in Oakland, the Tenderloin, Brooklyn, Harlem, Compton, and even Bogotá Colombia, and I’ve never seen a rowdier bar than Thompsons. Sh*t gets nuts on a Friday/Saturday night and I’ve loved every minute. Don’t ever change! I will say though… please start booking live music!!!

This is truly a dive! The underwear on the ceiling is covered in dust, spiderwebs and grime– which is really the ONLY way to keep undergarments integrated into the ambiance of a business. I like this place. Drinks aren’t too expensive, a couple pool tables in the graffiti-ridden side room, and usually cool people. The bartenders are pretty cool as long as you aren’t a dick. The only negative is that they do not have any beer on tap; it’s bottles and cans, ladies and gents.

I gave this place plenty of chances! Won’t be back and won’t suggest it to anyone! But I don’t think the owners care as they only are genuinely nice to a certain type of locals that look like regulars! Very regular regulars! I’m a local and hoped that this would be our local go to/escape spot but was disappointed every time ;(. Did I mention that u should NOT use the restroom! Yuck! Sucks that I have to travel to and support another cities business to have a good time!

Sometimes I’m just itchin’ to get back to home to the South Bay or to finally arrive at my parents in the 707, but most of the time I try to stop by and have a cold one and shoot the shit with whoever happens to sit next to me. Anytime I have a copilot with me I like to share the experience of ol’ Thompson’s Corner, which is a little bit of local flavor from my hometown. She isn’t much to look at, but the fact it’s been around forever IS the charm and allure of this watering hole.

First off I’m really into all of the underwear on the ceiling and I would have gladly added mine but I wasn’t wearing any. I love this place. I went in at like 7pm on a saturday and some drunk mom was trying to explain the touch screen jukebox to us. Speaking of, my only complaint was that unless someone is feeding the thing money there is no music. So, sorry not sorry about my Destiny’s Child marathon…

I love shit hole bars. So naturally I would like this place. Why Ihad an awful 2 experiences, apparently you have to be a regular to get a drink. We had to basically beg the bartender for a drink. He clearly wanted us to leave. Boo on this bar. I guess I’m not good enough. Never again.
