Agree with annie that campers may have problems but for us tenters it is great. Tent sites well away from seasonal trailers. Have always found the facilities clean and well cared for. Location great for near by trail access. Staff. has been wonderful.
I make reservations by phone. Think it just depends on what you want in a site. Tent camp lots and really like this place

This is typically a seasonal-​only campground, not for weekend campers.
The gravel roads and steep inclines are dangerous to drive on with any type of camper. Nothing is level in this campground, not even the tent areas. Reservations are difficult to make, at best. There is 1 working shower with limited hot water, down a very, very steep and unsafe stairway. The kids playground is nice, if you enjoy rust. You can fish in the river, but don’t expect anything for dinner.
The staff are pleasant, and there is a nearby Winery that is enjoyable.
