Alpen Village Drive-In

An awesome drive in! Sometimes the younger workers don’t cook the food right but overall they have some of the best seafood East of Everett. Amazing milkshakes, with a crazy amount of available flavors, and a small town feel to it.

I waited 30 minutes for a small Deluxe burger without a bun. I simply asked for it to be wrapped in lettuce. After waiting I finally got my order… it was a thin, thawed out patty slapped on some shredded lettuce. That’s it. That’s what took 30 minutes. McDonalds would have bee better.

Stopped here on the way back from river rafting on the Wenatchee. We both ordered the cod and chips, he got a strawberry milkshake and I got an oreo milkshake.
We waited for our order for quite awhile. We actually both fell asleep in the car waiting for it, I estimated about 20 minutes. When we got our food and milkshakes we sat in the really nice sitting area. After waiting 20 minutes I was expecting really great food, especially since we spent $ 31+ tip on everything.
The fish resembled frozen fish and the fries tasted like frozen crinkle fries. For 30 bucks I expected a lot more.
The milkshakes on the other hand were awesome. After all was said and done and we had thrown away half our food because it just wasn’t good, we wished we just had stopped and got milkshakes and eaten somewhere else.
Come for the cute sitting area, stay for the milkshakes. Don’t bother with the food.

What a great little place in Startup! Its a small drivein but is has a big selection of burgers, fish n chips, hit dogs. Even buffalo burgers. We waited about 20min for food, the quality is pretty good. Not amazing but solid good. What makes it a little gem in nice weather are the nice clean benches in a shade under the trees. There is a wishing well for kids and small waterfall to keep them entertained while waiting. There is a place to take the dogs out. Really sweet n pretty.
Also they is a cabin to eat inside if the weather is not nice.
Altogether we love it!
