This restaurant is closed down. It’s a donut shop now. This location has been several things over and over. It’s a tough location to have a restaurant in. But the donut shop seems to be getting a lot of business. Can’t go wrong with donuts.

Great BarBQue sandwich. Not a big fan of the homemade fries, but I am not a fries guy. The fries pickles we also very good.

We stopped by Porky’s on our way through to Gulf Shores. The waitress was really nice and very inviting. We had the barbecue sandwiches and they were fantastic. We also had the fries and they were really good too. We would recommend stopping by here.

We were intrigued, hungry and on our way back home from visiting my Dad in Elberta. I ordered ribs and my husband ordered brisket. The meat was very good. The sides were a joke. I asked if they made their own beans and the waitress said that they buy Bush’s and«zip ‘em up.» We told her that if they are spending time ‘zipping ‘em up” then they might as well make the beans themselves. Mac & cheese was velveetaish and dry(I suspect sort of old), of which I’m not a fan. I prefer real cheese in sauce. Potato salad was obviously from a Supermarket shelf. When it comes to BBQ, the meat is the most important, but the sides take it up or bring it down. The meat was seasoned nicely, but was a little overdone(particularly the brisket) and the sides were sad. I can buy bush’s beans and potato salad in a carton at the grocery… but I go out to taste something that would be a big deal or impossible for me to cook at home. Hopefully someone will get the memo.
