Great pizza! We’ve tried all the pizza in clinton, bond, and st clair and this small town bar beats them all. Come hungry and leave full. Great atmosphere and kind people that own it. This place is small but cozy and the pizza is extraordinary

The Belleville News Democrat ran a story about Mikes Place and it peaked my interest. I love a good pizza and have had my share from pie houses across the greater St. Louis area. So to get to it, is Mikes Place the best pizza around? Sure it is, if that around only extends to the Lebanon city limits. I was really hopeful this was a hidden gem, but alas it was not. Now don’t get me wrong, the pizza was good, and better than expected considering how my expectations changed once stepping inside. So we have a local bar and grill, that sells candy and soda to local kids, adult beverages to those old enough, and cooks up food for the locals. It is very Main Street USA in a one stop sign town. That is not a bad thing, it is just what it is. The pizza was good, and I was tempted to see what kind of burger they could grill up. Maybe next time since I occasionally pass nearby. But that being said, hit Schiappa’s in Lebanon first if you have pie on your mind.

This is your typical small town bar with great home made country food. I was shocked that almost every table was full, all you can eat fried chicken and pizza. As part of my review I always have to check the restroom. Oh my goodness, the lock was a hanger with a screw. I could not stop laughing. Good thing they serve beer.
