We stayed mainly because they are pet friendly & we had our 2 small dogs for the trip. Location was in a quiet section where you can safely walk your pet even late in the evening. Stores are close by; lots of green space for the pets. The staff was friendly; breakfast was hot and filling — good Spanish omelets, bagel toppers, oatmeal and waffles. There was plenty of fruit and yogurt, too. Very clean and spacious bathroom. We stayed on main floor near the back exit so it was no problem taking the pooches out for a walkabout. Pleasantly surprised at this location & will come back again!

Clean room, friendly staff. Comfortable beds and good shower pressure. The breakfast was ok– just enough to get us started on the rest of our road trip.

This is a good hotel, conveniently located near stores and restaurants. The hotel itself is a bit older, but the rooms are cleaned well, the beds are soft and the sheets are fresh. The bathroom is ok, a bit dark and the shower looks a little dated. You’ll see general wear and tear. I thought the complimentary breakfast was pretty decent. My only big complain is that the evening front desk are not that attentive. You’ll call the front desk and may not get a response, or they’ll tell you they’re too busy to drop something at your room for you. The morning front desk people also are not around 24 – 7. It can get annoying. Otherwise, this is a good location to be near the lake, and not too far from New River Gorge.

An older Hampton… hence the teal and pink walls. Visited with a group of friends when rafting the Upper Gauley several weekends ago. Would I visit again — yes. The Complimentary Breakfast was sub-par, in comparasion ot the other Hamptons i’ve been to lately. However, with the AAA rate — this was a bargain.
