Here I am, living less than a mile from Bubbies Bakery, and SOMEHOW, I didn’t know they existed. WOW… WHERE have I BEEN??? I spotted this delightful confectionary while strolling downtown with my four year old grandbaby, and decided she «needed» a treat.
Immediately upon opening the door to this precious establishment, the smell of fresh baked cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and truffles took me to my happy place. While still standing there sniffing, my granddaughter shot to the display case and very quickly informed me of the 19 she wanted to take home. With careful four year old negotiating skills, I managed to narrow that selection to two, the «wedding cake», which actually tasted and looked like mini wedding cakes. Oh. My. Goodness. Seriously… They were both delicious and GORGEOUS! They were also beautifully packaged, which is a biggie with me. I adore going to a bakery and having my items lovingly placed in beautiful little packaging. Thanks for offering the free samples, too. We shall be back!

It’s pretty amazing to. only see the positive comments. I know for a fact that I made a comment last week and got zero response from it. That does not show very good customer service. You all. should be shamed on how I was treated and spoke too. I will. pray for you all. FYI it made me choose at least one star. You don’t deserve one at all. Military haters

The absolute best cupcakes I’ve tasted in this area. I journey there at leaat once a month and buy cupcakes, a pound cake and those awesome Calypso cookies… and to top it off the Staff is friendly and courteous, down to the son (I guess) who helps out.

My finance and I have been planning our wedding from out of town and made our appointment SEVERAL WEEKS AGO with this bakery. We didn’t want to shop around but instead just schedule with a bakery that had good reviews to get it done. Well, we received a call from them yesterday saying that they had an emergency come up and needed to reschedule our appointment for this morning. I informed them when I called to schedule it that we were only going to be in town for a couple of days from Houston. We are leaving to go back tomorrow morning and couldn’t reschedule but I’m a pretty understanding person and asked if everything was ok. The owner proceeded by telling me that they had a large order just come in and could not make our samples. Personally, I would not consider a large order an emergency. I was a little upset by that response. I feel as if they had a sufficient amount of time to make the samples. They only requested that we tell them a week in advance our flavors and they told us that they could have it done when I called. They let another order take priority over ours that had just been placed. I would not recommend them if you are expecting a bakery that will follow through for your special occasion. I’m sorry to say that they missed out on a wedding cake, 400 cupcakes, and a dessert table setup that we would have finalized today.

There product is very tasty with a very limited selection of bakery items. It’s mostly a cupcake shop not a full bakery.

This is a cute bakery in the downtown area of Summerville. They had about 6 – 9 cupcake options. I went with the chocolate caramel sea salt. It was a little cold (not sure if they keep in fridge over night or what) and the cake wasn’t super moist or airy. The frosting was good and I especially liked the sea salt mixed with caramel. The person with me ordered the Italian wedding cake cupcake. We both agreed that the cake part was more consistent with a muffin and was also not super moist/​light like most cupcakes. The frosting was super sweet, especially after eating the caramel sea salt one first. I like that they have complimentary water to drink. The employee working was really nice so I would definitely give it another try in the future.

I was very disappointed with the cake that I purchased for my grandmother’s 90^th birthday. I believe I paid $ 130 for it and it looked plain and amateurish. They just scrawled «happy birthday Doris» on it and stuck a silk flower in it. I had more than one person ask if I’d made it myself. I would recommend Publix or Ashley Bakery.

The best cupcakes!!! We’ve had the Banana pudding (to die for), Boston Cream, and Tiramisu. They were all amazing. The cake was super moist and light. The frosting was rich but not too sweet or sugary; not like the store bought tasteless frosting.

You’ll think you have died and gone to heaven. The banana pudding cupcake and the Boston cream were phenomenal. That’s all I’ve tried so far. That’ll change very soon because my birthday is Thursday. Go. Just go.

The cupcakes are beautiful and the location is adorable! Everything you would look for in a sweet treat!

I first tried a Bubbies Bakery cupcake at a friend’s bridal shower earlier this year. It was a banana pudding cupcake. I’m a bit picky about banana pudding and banana flavored things. I prefer my banana pudding made with vanilla pudding, and don’t care for banana flavored candies or treats but I enjoy real bananas! Their banana pudding cupcake was DELICIOUS!!! It was so, so good. And the bakery isn’t far from my mom’s house so it wasn’t long before I’d convinced her to stop by there and pick up some cupcakes. She got a variety for us to enjoy on Memorial Day.
She bought the red velvet, banana pudding, strawberry waffle, wedding cake and strawberry cream cupcakes. We cut them so everyone could try every flavor. ALL of them were a home run!!! Seriously delicious cupcakes.

So I’m super excited to discover this little gem hidden in Summerville… yes, hidden, because if you blink a few times you may drive right by it!
Great cupcakes! Large. Moist. On point icing. Reasonably priced. My favorites are the sugar cookie and the wedding cake, but the red velvet was also excellent! It also has a charming feel to the inside, where there’s a small café type area for you to sit if you’d like. Staff here was incredibly friendly, as well.
I’ve been twice now and I’ll definitely be back!

I’m so happy Bubbies has opened a shop! I remember first trying their cupcake at the city night market about 4 or 5 years ago the sea salted caramel and it was everything you could want in a cupcake and in anything caramel. I thought I would have a fat summer (working at market next to cupcake makers) but they were only there a few times. Since then, I found bubbie’s at events like summerville market so whenever I was around I would go look for that caramel cupcake. I had always hoped they would open a bakery so I can get my fix anytime! Wishing them a great future in downtown Summerville.

The ladies that run the shop are super helpful and the prices are reasonable. The cakes are moist and the frostings aren’t so sweet it gives you a toothache. They also sell preserves, syrups and other gifts. This place is so good that it’s become a weekly routine to come in and get a cupcake! They also do full sized cakes.

First, let me say as a resident of Summerville for over 20 years, they have needed a good bakery for years. Some have come and gone, but Bubbies needs to STAY! A fixture at the Farmers Market for the past 2 years, this shop was definitely needed so cupcake lovers like myself can get a daily fix. I’ve been a gypsy now for the past 10 and went back «home» for the weekend. I stumbled upon Bubbies. Stumble no further folks! Lola, the owner is not only wonderful to chat with, she can back up her talent as well. My parents, one a sugaraholic and the other not so much both raved upon trying 2 of her daily features (red velvet and banana pudding). I had a very well done 3^rd, her wedding cake which has a teeny hint of almond… Delish! As for my 3 year old going on 13, Lola took her time to talk to her and treat her with respect, as most don’t with small children, scoring even more points with me and this was before we ate the most divine cupcakes from her shop! Seriously, a hidden gem that needs much more exposure!

We were about an hour away from home and my sister-​in-​law was insistent on visiting this place. At first I was like, man this is no big deal its just cup cakes. Well folks, once you show up and you see this place you won’t think much of it. Go inside and just talk to the folks that work there. You can tell by their passion how much they care for what they do. I had a little piece of multiple cup-​cakes, they were all GREAT. Trust me, no matter which cup-​cake you take you won’t be disappointed.
