Thought the place would be a bit seedy at first, but wow, amazing place! I have to say, the wait staff is amazing, guys in there are nice, playing pool; you have your regulars. I met someone there for a first date and had a good time conversing with my date with some of the best service I’ve had at a bar. Well done CJ’s.

Definitely a dive bar, however I do enjoy a good dive bar, and this is one of the best that I’ve been too. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, the first time we walked in we were treated like we were regulars. The décor is rustic, with a lot of posters and wall hangings. There is seating for about 75 inside, and about half a dozen 4 – 6 person tables outside. Two pool tables, dart board, and arcade golf. The food is also very good. The items on the menu are what you would expect from a bar and grill, but I have yet to eat anything here I didn’t like. The pork dinner was amazing with perfectly cooked pork shanks smothered in bbq sauce. The artichoke dip we ordered was a little cold, but really delicious. And the Siracha Cod Bites were amazing. The sauce wasn’t really anything to special, but the fish to breading ratio was amazing, so often is it all deep fry and no fish, not here… real great. So far I have only been here on weeknights, I have a suspicion it turns into more of a biker bar on the weekend nights, but its Puyallup, not southern California, so I expect the«bikers» are less sons of anarchy and more mid life crisis bikers. It’s worth a visit!!!

Been going here every Tuesday for over a year — best prime rib & usually GREAT service — SUCKED tonight. Waited 10 min. to come & get my drink order, then had to go order my next 2 rounds — server cut my husband off cuz I bitched about the service. First server brought my drink carrying it with the bar towel. Second server was making the round and just about got to our table and ended up playing with german shepard. Second server also needs to wear her hair up & quit playing with it and the dogs all night. Katie needs to come back or we wont!

Great local gem, good Tacos on Thursdays and the servers are always nice. The only downside to this location is that the parking is tight and there’s not much of it. It’s definitely a dive bar but the atmosphere is great.

I like dive bars and I love the concept here… the floors are battered and worn and the space is open and you almost feel like you’re at the edge of the sea. Lots of TVs and the outdoor seating area is cool. But I sat at the bar and was not made to feel welcome. I had to beg for a menu and they wouldn’t take my order. The two irritable bartender women and the schlubby cook were just not very friendly and two of them spent most of their time texting. The dead end parking lot is usually crammed with bikers, but most are the«look I bought a do-rag» phony tough guys. Looks like this place does well, but it could be SO much more.

Pirates and Bikers Galore! This little nugget is directly across from the Old Cannery Warehouse in Sumner, snuggled up against the railroad tracks. They’ve got a decent sized parking lot, as well as additional gravel lot parking. I was hungover and starving, and accepted an invite from a friend to celebrate her birthday there. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is that the floor is wood planking, and it gives a little bit in some spots. This place has a low ceiling, to which are attached many beer/racing/pirate/seagoing related items. There’s also a bear on a motorcycle in one corner. Truly kitsch, but also very, very cool! I ordered up a bacon cheeseburger, and although it wasn’t anything spectacular, it hit the spot. Salty crinkle-cut fries accompanied the beef. Good stuff, Maynard! My drink of choice was Bud Light bottles, and every one that was served up was chilled to perfection. Ahhh… There was certainly an eclectic mix of patrons, from the old, grizzled, road-hard biker veterans to the pimp daddy in his white suit, the frat-boys, the Farmer Teds, a buttrocker or three(«duuude, I’m so wasted!), and all in between. Oh, and yes, some good lookin’ ladies, too! Flat screen TVs are just about everywhere you look, and their jukebox heavily favors classic rock and roll tunes, although at one point in the evening, it appeared that someone stuck in enough money to play just about an hour’s worth of Iron Maiden. The owner was constantly moving around, visiting with everyone, checking up on them and just generally making you feel very welcome, extending a hand and introducing himself to all. A real friendly, no pressure, no «games» atmosphere, for sure! I’d be willing to bet that if a month goes by before my next visit, he’ll probably recognize me, and ask where I’ve been. Service tends to be a bit slow, if you are a «professional» drinker, so you just may be best served if you seat yourself at the bar rather than a table across the room. But, you’ll be checking out all the stuff on the walls, so the wait isn’t really that bad! Next time you’re in the area, it’s worth giving a looksee.

Ate here for the first time last night. The place is a little hole in the wall fully equiped with wooden floors and pirate themed decorations. I had the New York Steak with fries, blue cheese salad and garlic bread. The cook usually gets off around 9ish so if you order anything afterwards the waitresses will cook it for you. If they get too busy they will only allow you to order fried food. The steak was solid considering that one of the waitresses had to cook it and they put this butter sauce from the garlic bread over the steak that tasted pretty good.
