Fred Meyer

I love this Fred Meyer! They just have the most helpful staff members than the other Fred Meyer in Puyallup. We love to come and shop here whenever we can. Just so much cleaner, parking isn’t a nightmare, neither is the gas station. There is so much more stores and restaurants in the parking lot as well.
Just the ease of navigating the store, the ease of leaving the lot, having 410 near by and not having to wait for the heavy traffic off river road.
I go out of my way to go to this store because it’s just a nice area, the helpful staff really makes a huge difference!

The prices they have are pretty good, and better now that they will match competitor prices! That new policy makes this chain even better!

I had to stop in for a few things and hadn’t shopped here before. They layout is similar to the one by my house and the produce selection was the best I have seen. They could use some better lighting as there were a variety of odd people hanging around outside. The check out lanes were very quick.

I love Sumner Fred Meyer. I have been to several but the Sumner one takes the cake. Over half of the employees know me by name, one in particular Babs knows all six of my kids names, their activities in school, even when their birthdays are. Everyone is always willing to give a hand with a smile. The only reason I would not give this store a 5 star review is because one time when I was pumping gas I overheard a young gentleman, I’m assuming one of the managers with the way he was dressed and how he carried himself, call sumner the drug capital of Pierce County. I love Sumner and the people here so this comment offended me but I will not allow one under educated individual taint my opinion of the store.

Great place, except always VERY BUSY. I know Fred Meyer cannot control that but sometimes it just feels like that store is too small for how many people are shopping in it at all times. I feel like it never calms down. But it’s nice there’s a lot of variety-​great health foods section. Customer service is not so great. My husband left something at the customer service desk to pick it up when we were ready to check out and when we did, they «couldn’t find it» and then the lady just turned around and started talking to someone else. Ok kind of rude. But all in all its a good place.

Of the two Fred Meyer stores in the immediate area (Sumner and Puyallup), this one is the better of the two in my opinion. Staff is friendly, layout seems well thought out, they let you park here for high school football games, and the selection seems just a little higher quality. Of the Kroger brands that I have visited (Ralph’s, Fry’s, QFC and maybe a coupe others), Freddy’s seems to be the most robust. Good selection, good organic and bulk section, etc.
While I would hardly consider it a one stop, it could be. Unlike the Puyallup location though, this one does not carry firearms or ammo.

If you’re looking for a place where you can buy your groceries and also add furniture to your home, clothes to your closet, plants to your garden (you get the point I’m sure), then this is the place for you! Fred Meyer is such a great store… I can find just about anything I need, and the prices are pretty reasonable. I am particularly a fan of the deli and bakery sections as that’s where I can find specialty pasta salads and desserts. I got my birthday cake for my 30^th birthday from Fred Meyer, and it was beautiful, absolutely delicious, and super affordable! And when I’m in a hurry, it is easy to get in and get out. I love shopping here! There is convenient parking, and the parking lot connects to other shopping and restuarants, which makes this particular Fred Meyer location ideal! Also, there are 2 Redbox kiosks at this location, but the movies do tend to rent out fast, especially with new releases on weekends… be forewarned. Overall, though, this is one of my favorite grocery stores… check it out!
