Finally made it to this little sandwich shop down in Sumner. The menu is mainly sandwiches(hot and cold) with nice choices. The prices a little more than expected in a casual place like this but had heard from locals it had good food. My daughter and I decided to share a hoagie veggie and added turkey to it which was close to 12 bucks but did come with choice of soup or salads. Clam chowder was one of the soups so we opted for that. The friendly server was kind enough to suggest making it a bowl(additional fee of course) and then split our sandwiches and gave us each a cup of soup so we had our own plates/soups even though we split it all, nice touch. The sandwich was fresh, tasty and being on a hoagie was more filling which was perfect for sharing. The clam chowder… let me just tell you, I’m am pretty critical of clam chowder as it’s usually either room temp, or basically potato or bacon soup. This was about the best clam chowder I’ve ever tasted!!! It was hot, it was super creamy, the diced potatoes didn’t rule and the flavor was awesome. I loved the dill flair and appreciated no bacon, super rich and served with oyster crackers like it should be, a real winner! Sabrina the owner made and brought out the orders, also very friendly. I noticed they serve Martin Henry(my favorite but could no longer find) coffee/espresso but had just finished a latte before arrival. But luckily they sell it by the 1 pound sacks so I bought one although pricey at 14.00 but good coffee is pricey. The amount of food was just perfect in fact we had a ½ cup of chowder left and didn’t dare leave it behind. The server was nice enough to put that and my ice tea in a container to go. The basic soda/ice tea drinks are 3 bucks, again a little steep. They offer a salad bar which is hard to find anymore but would like seeing a few more offerings on it like maybe baby corn, garbanzo beans, spinach, red onion, and/or maybe one salad like macaroni or coleslaw? Just a suggestion. Our bill for 1 sandwich adding turkey 75 cents, upgrading the cup of soup to a bowl? and 2 basic beverages came to about 25 bucks plus pound of coffee making it 39,00 which didn’t sound quite right but daughter paid and didn’t get receipt. We will be back, good food, great service, good choices… all in all a nice sandwich shop in darling Sumner!

Used Amazon Local coupon($ 20 for $ 42) to get Philly Cheese Steak, Turkey, Roast Beef, and Veggie Lover sandwiches(family of boys). I had the Philly, it was a very unique(meant in best way) sandwich… thick cut steak, red bell peppers, grilled onions, and cream cheese. Best one I’ve had – pending an actual visit to Philly of course. All in all… thumbs up from me and the boys.

I wasn’t that impressed. Pasta salad was bland regular sandwiches were high priced and nothing special 3 stars for good service and nice atmosphere.

Whenever I’m not at work and I’m looking for a good sandwich with soup I go to Sabrina’s. I love the turkey sandwiches, they are made with real turkey meat not that pressed deli stuff, it makes such a difference in the quality of the meal. Also her homemade soups are delicious.

I mentioned to my server this was my first visit and I would like to try the most popular sandwich. K, I’m just going to add a picture of my $ 12 meal of Processed turkey sandwich, potato salad and water…

I hate giving small business owner’s a bad review so that’s why I am giving this place a 2 star and not a 1 star. My experience from my one and only visit was a 1 star. I was so excited to try this little place out. I had been promising my 4 year old son a special lunch date and thought this place would be perfect. I browsed their menu online when purchasing my $ 10 for $ 20 Groupon, and knew exactly what we would be ordering. We came for Lunch(ha. lunch in a box!) and arrived at 12:30. We were greeted right away as it was pretty empty in there. I was really looking forward to having the salad bar with my sandwich, but the salad bar had fresh ice in it but it was salad-less. I ordered the veggie sandwich and I was told they were out of avocado(dear god why!) and she asked if I wanted anything else to make up for it. I ordered extra Swiss cheese in place of the missing avocado… seriously nothing can take the place of avocado but okay no bigs. So I get my sandwich and a side of deli delish broccoli cheddar soup. The soup was amazing. It was creamy and tasty and the only thing I enjoyed. I was very disappointed in my sandwich. The sourdough was soft and fresh but there was very little on the sandwich– 1 small sliver of onion on each half, a small un-ripe tomato slice on each half, a lot of lettuce. Last but not least, a massive larger than life hunk of cucumber to make up for the missing avocado and extra cheese that I requested but didn’t make it onto the sandwich. I didn’t even eat the 2 inch thick cucumbers they were so big and honestly unappetizing. The sandwich should have been called a cucumber sandwich. My son ordered a grilled cheese sandwich, and again nothing exciting about it. For dessert I ordered the Jelly bar which the gal(possibly Sabrina) said they were her personal favorite. I had to remind them that I ordered it when we finished eating, and the very young server went to go and get it and brought it to me frozen. I overheard the other lady that worked there(again maybe Sabrina) tell her to go and get one from the bottom of a freezer and warm it up for 1 minute. I’m guessing that was her best attempt at getting us a fresh one, but the young server brought it to us frozen anyways. We didn’t even bother saying anything and left without eating it. I wouldn’t have ordered it if I didn’t think it was fresh, and I certainly didn’t want a frozen one to go. I would normally say something about the food and or service while at the restaurant but I had the feeling that there was just no point, and it would really go on deaf ears. The young girl serving us had no hospitality experience and was clearly just a helper. That is what it is. You’re only as good as the people that work for you. I was so glad that I only spent 10.00 on the Groupon and nothing more. The place has a very bad and confused energy… or maybe that’s the vibe we were getting from the young server gal. Maybe my bad experience was 100% from the server, and I will never know because there was nothing there to make me want to come back. For 10 bucks I can just go to Subway or Panera.

Wow so disgusting! Went for lunch and got salad bar and soup. Vegetable beef had no beef and consisted of beans and uncooked carrots. The salad bar had slimy cucumbers and the thousand island was chunky. My husband got the rueben that tasted like only tasted like thousand island. Needless to say we left without eating and will never go back!!!

Not a bad place but I would classify it as a women’s sandwich place — neat sandwich — not juicy and runs down your hands as you bite into it. The decorations sort of support that — not that that is a problem — just my classification. They have a cartoon(going by memory) that shows a man working around the house and the saying is something like — If your way doesn’t work — do it the way your wife told you to in the first place. Isn’t that discriminating and belittling to men? How come it is OK to put those in a restaurant — just wondering. The sandwich was thin and they bring the check with the meal — you know — eat and get out feeling. No refills of water. You don’t get a pickle with the sandwich — seems like it is becoming more of a common practice — and I love pickles. Overall — it was lunch and we were full but not worth the trip back. They all went in the back while we were sitting there(only us and one other couple) but a feeling of why are you here — we have better things to do.

We have been several times to Sabrina’s & yet to be disappointed. She is friendly & outgoing. It is kid friendly but yet really geared for the Adult crowd. The soup is always good. And I love the to go box. So homey. I have used groupon & been without a discount. Always fair prices. If I am hungry at lunchtime in Sumner, this is my first choice. :-)

Had an AWESOME soup and sandwich at Sabrina’s Lunch in a Box– can’t wait to go back! Everything on the menu at this little café-style deli looked great, but so did the sandwich special advertised on the board outside so I decided to go with that. It was a Paradise Ham Sandwich, with bacon, ham, lettuce, tomato, cheese, honey mustard, and mayo on Hawaiian sweet bread. Delicious! Perhaps even better, though, was the soup of the day: a rich and creamy Tomato Basil that might just qualify as the best I’ve ever had. The service here was excellent, with Sabrina herself greeting customers, bussing tables, working the register, helping in the kitchen, etc. There are cookies, pie, and other baked goods available here as well– may have to try some on my next visit. BONUS: customers who check in with their Unilocal app can claim a $ 2 off coupon!

My daughter & I tried Sabrina’s largely in part because of her Groupon deal. We went in for lunch & since it’s a seat yourself type of establishment we promptly found ourselves a corner table. The ambiance was muted & not really spectacular. On par with what one might expect from a deli type place. My lil one & I only had a short wait before we were greeted & told that she would be right with us as she was dealing with another customer. Next to us was this old gentleman that Sabrina greeted by name. He had his paper open & his cup of joe & it appeared as if not only was he settling in for a nice long stay but that he had already been there a while. It’s a throwback to the old diners where old timers came and sat for a spell. Made us feel very welcome. After she dealt with the other customers she came over & took our order. My lil one had turkey on honey oat, hold the tomatoes with a side of potato salad & a Snapple to drink. I decided to be good & go with the soup(chowder) & salad(garden) combo. We didn’t have long to wait before our food was served. My lil one loved her sandwich except for the fact they forgot to hold the tomatoes. She also said she like the potato salad but to me it was just meh. I might be a lil biased on that subject though since it’s my humble opinion that my mom makes the best potato salad EVER! In any case, she enjoyed her lunch. Mine was pleasing as well. The chowder was ok & there’s really very little that one can do to mess up a garden salad. The portions for both of our lunches were large & so we both left there feeling pleasantly full. My lil one even had a portion of her sandwich & potato salad to take home. Overall it was a ok experience… not something you’d necessarily write home about but nice while it lasted.

Had been wanting to try this little sandwich place since I saw it on Unilocal and Groupon. We went on a Friday mid-day and it wasn’t busy. Take-out and boxed lunches are available. The owner Sabrina was very friendly and self-confident in her food options. She’s uses several social networking outlets including Unilocal and does Groupons or Living Social deals periodically. She does Groupon NOW deals frequently. We checked-in on Unilocal and got $ 2 off. I loved them though because it was a good old-fashioned club sandwich. Like a previous reviewer commented, kind of like the kind grandma or mom used to make. I surely could make the same thing at home but why would I when someone else could make it for me? My husband had the Friday special which was a ½ Tuna and Clam chowder. The chowder was yummy but he said the Tuna was just slightly more wet than he likes– but still good. She does fountain sodas on a price scale– a lower price for one glass and a higher price for unlimited. The glasses are large though so one was enough. The food was out lightning quick too! Would definitely go back with Groupons or Unilocal deals.

This is my new favorite lunch spot! I tried Sabrina’s Lunch in a Box yesterday and I was deighted! I got a Turkey bacon avacado sandwich on a crossiant and pasta salad as my side. I LOVED the sandwich. It was made with premium turkey and not a bit of fat on the thick bacon. The avacado was buttery and amazing! Best sandwich I have had in ages. The pasta salad was also very good. Spiral noodles with olives and seasonings, I made a good choice! For dessert I have Sabrina’s homemade Berry Crisp which was out of the world! I was in heaven and decided right then and there would certainly be back. My only complaint was the price, it was a little more spendy then I normal would pay for lunch and a dessert but it would satisfying and I was pleased. Very warm atmosphere.

My sandwich was pretty delicious. The to-go box made me feel like the mother I never had packed my lunch for the day. I had a groupon, which made it 4.50 for the whole lunch. I don’t know if it would’ve been worth the 9.50 for lunch, but I’m kind of cheap like that. The snickerdoodle cookie was okay. I’ve had(and made) better. They were out of Diet Coke in a can, so she gave me a fountain drink instead. I’ll take a fountain drink over a can any day! The sandwich was on regular sliced bread, not a baguette or anything else. Maybe the other bread would’ve been a little more special.(I got wheat) Overall, I’d say take advantage of the groupon and then decide if you’d want to go again without the discount.
