Stuck Junction Saloon

Nicely remodeled a couple years back, this place has great pub «feel» to it. Dark, but not dingy. Beer selection is pretty good, and food is standard for a bar. I’ve eaten the burgers, and most of the apps during happy hr. Service is terrific, and friendly patrons. Good spot in DT Sumner!

This place has a really nice atmosphere inside. The staff is very friendly, but if you don’t sit at the bar it can be a little slow. The menu is limited and the food is only average, but I’d still give it a three star for nice atmosphere alone :) good work guys

There is nothing we don’t love about this place! The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is upbeat & the drinks are great! Very clean & we always feel welcomed.

I found myself last Saturday kid-​free and looking for a rare date night in town with my hubby. Drove by at 10:30pm wanting to finally check out the new saloon and they were CLOSED! What bar closes at 10pm on a Saturday?! Really?! They must not be worth checking out if they can’t even stay open on a Saturday night. Bummer.

Awesome bar, great food, great cold beers, great service, and the best part is its not your typical bar food. To Julie L. I think it’s a perfect volume, saying a saloon is too loud is like saying a library is too quiet, which sounds like that’s exactly where you belong…

Love this place. Ordered a drink and I was offered free bacon. Very cool. Bartenders are awesome. This will be my new spot.

First thing we noticed and heard was the loud, obnoxious bartender. Beer and food were good, service was mediocre. What really turned us off was overhearing the loud obnoxious bartender talk crap about every customer as they walked out the door… real classy! Needless to say, we won’t be back!

Dropped in yesterday right around lunch time for a quick snack and something to eat. Great selection of beer on tap and service was great. Let me get to the food: Spring Rolls: Light, full of flavor and overall awesome! Wings: Crisp, fresh and the three sauces we choose were great as well! (BBQ, Teriyaki, Buffalo). Will return in the future to try some other items on the menu.

So disappointed! Went last night for the first time in months, and it’s a different place. Loud patrons, loud staff, even the TV’S were showing stupid stuff. We left pretty quickly. Please don’t fall to the main street curse that seems to always hit the establishments in this space.

If you like rude waitresses, so-​so fare and slow food service, this is the place for you. Ordered a small dinner salad with dressing on the side. When it arrived 30 minutes later, bathed in dressing, I told the waitress I had wanted the dressing on the side. She huffed and snapped that it came that way unless I specified. «I did specify.» She angrily picked it up and I asked her to cancel the order. (I didn’t have time to wait another half hour.)
We have given this place three chances since it opened. Three bad experiences cannot be chalked up to off days.
One star for the TVs.

I’ve been there twice, the food is good. The service is fine. I have had the wings. They are big and the sauces are good. The burgers are really good too.
The bad thing that knocks it down one whole star is that it is impossibly loud. It is impossible to carry a conversation with you table mates. When ordering at the bar it is almost necessary to yell.
I like this place but it is too darn loud.

The food was really good. Homemade almost everything! I had the onion rings, which were fresh onions with house made batter and nachos — house made chips! Very impressive. The service was however way below par — the waitress was literally on her iPhone the entire time, sticky table, no silverware ect. Also the look, feel and brand was amazing.

Outstanding service, great appetizers and made my birthday awesome! Nicole is an awesome server and Renee is a great bartender. We were celebrating my birthday ³⁄₁₃ and my hubby’s ³⁄₁₂ and my folks came and another friend. Just a great place with good people! They were so sweet they made and announcement it was my birthday and everyone sang happy birthday and of course I cried a little because the gesture was so sweet. I really love the fire bites and the capicola Jack sticks with the balsamic glaze.
The nachos were not the best but it was food :-). The kitchen was probably overwhelmed because the BLT and Cubano and wings were not good at all.
Regardless of the entrees we had and some apps, this place is awesome and they made our evening special.

Great place. Very packed on the weekend. Nice little band playing. Great southwestern eggrolls and the portions are huge. Loved the menu variety. Great service and friendly staff. I’ll be back with friends :)

The fire bites were fiery delicious! The Stuck Junction Relaxer was fabulous and the Nachos were very different and delicious! Can’t wait to try more dishes! The staff was extremely friendly! We went there to watch a football game and there were plenty of televisions for all to see! It was a bit in the mellow side but it was a Sunday morning game. I’d like to visit when there is music on the weekend! We’ll definitely be back! OH AND… it’s close to our home in Lakeland Hills! So far you’re a 5! Keep up the great work!

New little surprise in downtown Sumner! Newly remodeled and new ownership has turned this dive bar into a fun and cozy little pub. Great menu – awesome drinks, food is outstanding, and service is excellent as well! And… FREE BACON on Tuesdays during Happy Hour… woohoo!
It’s a Sports Bar, so don’t expect a quiet atmosphere;)

This place is great! The head chef Rita is personable and comes from a 5 star restaurant. The staff is friendly, beer is cold, food is delicious. Free bacon with your drink during happy hour tuesdays!

Nice place!
Clean, modern, with cool atmosphere.
I sat at the bar, was waited on promptly, and recieved my order quick with the staff acquiring several times within reason if additional service was needed.
The fish sandwich was light and good quality with excellent pub fries.
I’ve eaten here a few times and our can get noisy, but I’d definitely recommend giving them a shot.

The place opened less than a month ago.
I popped in to grab some lunch and check it out.
First I noticed was a Beautiful Cut Stone Entrance. Walked in and the Saloon had a Modern Western but also a Sports Bar look and feel to it.
The all new restrooms were a really Cool Modern Western design with a Quasi Wooden sink and and cool fixtures. Had horseshoe drink holders. Ya gotta see it, pretty creative. Owner said Ladies room is done really nicely too.
Stuck Junction is the prior name for the a Town of Sumner. I imagine because the Pioneers got their Wagons or Model T’s stuck in the muddy fields coming to Tacoma 100+ years ago. Hence, Stuck Junction Saloon?
Anyway, sat at the Bar.
Lots of Big Screen TV’s every direction. This is real good for me as a Sports Fan.
They have a number of the most popular Northwest Beers on tap That I like and they rotate three or four of them regularly as well. Perfect!
As for lunch, «What’s Good?», I asked
A Happy Patron quickly recommended the Tacos and the Nachos.
Cindy Co Owner sitting near by supported the recommendation.
Tara the Bartend told me her favorite was the Sesame Teriyaki Wings and their Burgers too.
I went with the recommended daily special… which was a modern eclectic, one of a kind serving of four Won Ton Tacos.
I got one chicken, one BBQ pork and two fresh fish.
The chicken and the Fish were amazing!!! I had to meet the Chef to express my Love!
Then I ate the BBQ Pork Won Ton Taco and it was Waaaaay off the charts Awesome!!!
I was so happy watching ESPN, drinking My favorite great beers and eating the delicious and priced ‘just right’ Lunch Special.
Oh and did I say the bar stools were super comfortable too.
Met Terry the other Co Owner. Super Nice Guy, cares, wealth of knowledge. Terry and Cindy are DESTINED to kill it with this Outstanding addition to Sumner.
Best Place in Town Albeit!

What a refreshing update to this location! I recall the pool tables on the back just like it was yesterday! I really was impressed by the detail of remodel that this location went through. The bathrooms are even matching on the décor with nice wood pieces and cleanliness.
Upon entering, you can still smell the fresh wood they used to add life into this once divey and decrepit location. The waitress had a nice firey energy about her and she did her best as she seemed to be the only person to attend to a restaurant full of patrons! I give her an A for effort but found myself a little frustrated when I ordered and reordered some items I was missing. Amazing service for the situation though.
I really found it thoughtful of them to separate the coleslaw from the sliders as not everyone wants them together. The BBQ and pork married well together. The garlic fries were more of a garlic powder and not actual garlic pieces which was a bit disappointing. I will come back and try some other things when I am ready for an actual meal and update my review at that time. I attended this time with 4 people total for drinks and snacks to check out this quaint and lovely Sumner establishment.

* OK food (overall) and thoughtful — looking forward to how other items are thought out
