When you can get ahold of a staff person they are very friendly. The younger staff that tends to work the pool is not always the most knowledgeable but always friendly. I wish someone would give them a grant or something to update the dingy bathrooms:(Overall I would recommend taking lessons here for your kids.

Saturday open swim– 11−1pm, or 5−7pm for $ 3.50 an hour. Get there on the hour to swim. Located at Sumner High School. Went this morning and there were only about 25 people in the pool, a mix of kids and adults. They have a 12 ft deep end for diving and 3 lanes open for lap swim. Inexpensive option for a pregnant woman who wanted to get some relaxing floating time in and relieve the pressure on her belly. Locker rooms aren’t the greatest, but wear flip flops and you’ll be fine. Space for drying hair, lockers for storing items, and warm showers for washing after you swim.

I had my first swimming lessons here. well that I remember at least. Tennis lessons too(there are tennis courts on site). When I was little, my sisters and I used to walk from our house to Sumner Pool to go swimming. I particularly enjoyed the diving board. I’d get a heath bar from the candy machine afterwards. Ahhh good times. There is also a sauna that gets pretty steamy and hot. review 2÷9÷2008 I.M.Y.
