Dillon Park has come quite a long way in the last 3 years. They’ve put a lot of time and effort into renovating the ball fields and the running track is nice. It’s mostly unknown but there is a trailhead in the back corner of the park to a new off-road bike trail that is much more cross-country and laid back compared to those out at Manchester. With these things, the soccer fields, football field, and access to a golf course this park has activities for nearly everyone and that’s good for a community. There used to also be a RC track here but I guess it was done away with when the big track off 378 was built.

This is a small county park popular for cheap golf, running, and amateur sports teams. It’s also the site of a few Sumter festivals like the Scottish fair and 4th of July festivities. I’m not a golfer, but supposedly this 9 hole course is great to practice on, and extremely cheap. They even have a resident golf pro, Mitch Moretz to help you out.
