Dollar General Store

I used to ge here 2 or 3 times a week, but I ust went at 1;15 on wednsday sept 15^th and the guy at the register had such a bad attitude it was disgusting. I purchased several items and he never handed me a receipt or even handed me the bag. I wanted to rip his face off and this guy is the reason I stopped going in to begin with. I find it hard to believe they are that hard up to hire this lacksadaisical dud. He HAD HORRIBLE BODY LANGUAGE AND WHEN I ASKED WHERE SOMETHING IS EARLIER HE ACTED LIKE I WAS BREAKING HIS CHOPS FOR BOTHERING HIM. I have heard several people complain about the same guy and he’s bad for business period

On par with most others in the chain but way better than the one is Ruskin. Clean, organized and lotsa deals. Manager seems way over stressed which is understandable but she rushed by me NYC style numerous times and didn’t acknowledge me even tho I smiled. As a retail worker pretty much all my life its the people in the store who make a difference. Its the staff that makes me overlook a disheveled mess — its a balance you strike in bargain shops you see. The cashier was kind and prompt so that made up for it. Note: As i was checking out, the manager (im assuming her title btw by choice of clothing and demeanor) also loudly said «Theft!» over and over again as she slapped down about 5 empty packages she’d found. Does this suck immensely for them? Yes! Should it have been done in front of tons of customers shopping for the holidays? No. I dont care if its Saks 5^th Ave or Dollar General, never show whats going on behind the curtain. Never.
