Pizza Hut

Should have trusted the poor reviews I read, but I was desperate for pizza and wings with visitors at my home. I entered an order for 2 pizzas and 2 sets of wings via Internet to find out the delivery would be 1.5 hours later. I called the store to see if I could cancel the delivery and pick the order up myself-​and I was told it would be ready in under 10 minutes.
After arriving at the store in Sun City Center, I watched the chaos unfold, phone calls went for 30 – 40 rings before being answered, mass confusion and unhappy customers identifying mistakes. Our pizzas came out in two separate boxes and we were told our wings were being ‘sauced.’ When the wings finally came out, we scooped up our order and raced home to our starving guests. We open the pizza boxes in the kitchen-​and one of the boxes is emply…1 for 2 is just not good enough. This store is in serious need of a Manager. The pizza business is way too competitive to settle for this kind of service.

I was a regular here. I’ve been going to this location since I was a little kid, and the people there used to be friendly and the food used to be amazing… But over the years, the service and general quality of the food at this particular establishment have gone waaayyyy down!
For starters, their sauce is too spicy, so I don’t recommend it if you have heartburn like I sometimes do. Which wouldn’t be as bad if the service here weren’t atrocious! Every time we’ve gone in lately, the staff act like they don’t care and don’t want to be there. They often roll their eyes at customers, and they act like they don’t even want to seat you when you go in. One night recently, I was there at 9pm and they don’t close until 10pm, but they told me they were closed and no longer taking orders (so I went to SouthShore Pizza and gave them my business instead. They were happy to let me order from them, even though they close at the same time and were just as busy that night.)
Typically, you have to get your own drinks because they certainly don’t keep you in refills. The waitress from last night didn’t even know about a product they had (their new toppings for breadsticks) and got it wrong even after we pointed right to it on the menu! She also tried to tell us that their breadsticks don’t come with marinara sauce, which is a flat out lie. They overcharge for everything and don’t want to do any work. They seem short staffed a lot too, and the management is constantly changing. Everyone there has an attitude, even though we go in all smiles. I don’t understand how or why they’re even still in business, because it’s honestly kind of pathetic.
Like another Unilocaler already mentioned, I also noticed that they always seem to have the A/​C cranked way up, which results in the food being stone cold before you even have a chance to eat it. And there’s no getting away from it either, those vents are everywhere!
The last time (and I mean it when I say it will be the LAST TIME) I dined here, I asked for the simple request of putting the pepperoni on top of the cheese on my pizza (because I hate soggy pepperoni, ew) and they couldn’t even do that. (I’ve included a pic in case you don’t believe me. I asked to complain to the manager but he was sitting in the dining room with headphones on, ignoring everyone! Seriously!
And now we’ve made the decision to never go back. Please save yourself the trouble and go to New York, New York Pizza, Southshore Pizza, Hungry Howie’s, even Little Caesars is better than here! I give it a ⁰⁄₁₀ and will most likely not be coming back. I’m done.

Haaa! Another generic pizza joint. What can I say? It’s not dog food, it’s edible but it’s not great pizza either. Every pizza joint I go to I try their pan pizza because I like how there is no thick, doughy crust around the outside and all the cheese and toppings go right up to the edge. Plus, how the outside edge of the crust is light, brown and crispy just blows away most hand tossed pizzas that are thick and chewy. Anywho, the last two times I went there (only because my mom wanted to go there) the deep dish pizzas I ordered were fails. They were slightly under cooked hand tossed pizzas, with the thick, doughy ring around the outside but sitting in a pan. Pan pizza impostors! I said nothing about it the first time I ordered it but couldn’t contain myself the 2^nd time around. I told the waitress I ordered a pan pizza and she said that is a pan pizza. I let her know that just because it’s served in a pan doesn’t mean it’s a pan pizza and had to explain the difference to her, she was clueless but seemed appreciative. Thank god I talked my mom into not going there any more. Now we go to East Coast Pizza in Riverside instead. What a world of difference!

I used the Pizza Hut app so I could only blame myself if the order was wrong. 2 medium pizzas, 1 thin bbq and 1 hand tossed pep/​mushroom. The Pizza Hut app delivery time said that it was going to be at my house at 1:15 p.m. The driver showed up at 1:30.
Both pizza’s were cold, as in the cheese and crust were hard.
Called and spoke to the manager and he offered me a $ 5 credit or remade pizza’s but I would have to wait another hour for delivery because they were busy. When I asked for a full refund he said I was talking over him and that I could come pick up new pies if I wanted, then he hung up on me.
With all of the choices around here you can be assured that I will never order from this Pizza Hut again.

Great little spot. Good food. Good prices. We had wings and personal pan pizza. Very pleased

So I have visited this location a few times and I now feel confident that I know what I’m gonna get. We order online and drive to pick it up… with that being said… drive thru service is friendly, our order is always accurate, and the options/​wide selection of menu options are great. Pizza Hut has really stepped up their game.

We got here at 12:15 on a Sunday and were one of only two customers at the time.
Shannon was our server. He was the ONLY server as the place started getting busy.
He did what he could, but with five tables and no other helps, the service as slow. Kind of unfair to him.
Our hand tossed pizza was actually pretty decent.

I wanted to do one star, but the general manager was quick to clean up the mess of others. The crust was incorrect. I waited 20 minutes to get the pizza. And by «waited» I mean I went up and asked. I don’t believe we would have received our items had I not gone up. The manager gave us 50% off on the order.

When we arrived to pick up our 2 large pizzas, they said one was ready but they had to remake the other one because their driver had taken our second pizza to someone else by mistake. They said we would have to wait 15 more minutes (in the drive-​through) until the new one was done. Then they handed us the pizza that was already done. I had to ask them to put it back in the warmer so it would not get cold. DUH! They said we could have free breadsticks while we were waiting. When they came back to the window they said the breadsticks weren’t done either. SORRY! When I asked if they could just deliver the other pie and the breadsticks when they were ready the manager said they would have to charge a delivery fee even though it was their error! This is the third time I have had a problem with them screwing up my order. That’s it for me!

Do not Dine In!!! The air conditioning seems to be on full blast at all times. We sat thru. 2 frigid meals but tonight we left without ordering because the situation had not improved and the employees were indifferent.

What we ordered: 2 medium pizzas — one half cheese/​half pepperoni and one with peppers and onions
Unfortunately they got our order wrong — we ordered hand tossed but we got thin crust.
Good service, okay food, and good price.

The Pizza is always dry. Even when I ask for more sauce they fail to do so. Save your time and take the drive to Gibsonton. The quality is better at that location. This Pizza Hut in sun city clearly doesn’t care.

Ordered 1 Large pan pizza supreme. It was $ 10.35. Very tasty, not greasy or oily. Just perfect, the lady that took my order over the phone was very nice. Pleanty of parking. Just an all round great deal.
BOTTOM LINE: I’ll be back for sure.
