Bad bad bad store, rude rude store, I was told not to put my water up on the counter with her bad attitude(check out woman) then when I complained the customer service told me that she got my message and told me with an attitude that I should have a nice day. I told her that I would and that I would never shop there again and I won’t. This has happened three time to me. I only went there three times.

Slow service, rude employees. Bought some rolls, got home, found mold. Had to take them back, what a pain. Employees have work there a long time(maybe too long). They don’t seem to like their jobs.

This is one of the cleanest stores I have had the pleasure of being in. Staff is friendly… but it’s not consistant. And there is usually only 1 – 2 checkouts open even when the traffic picks up. The produce is fantastic tho. And the prices and the sales are what keeps me coming back.

Always takes way too long to check out. Never enough cashiers to just grab an item or two. Drives me bananas!

Great for a quick stop for a forgotten item on vacation. However, we went grocery shopping here and were disappointed by the limited fresh produce options. Their limes were bruised and discolored from being old and their prices were not worth the quality. We ended up going to Sprouts down the street and were much happier.

This is the closest grocery store to my house, so it’s the one I’m at the most. The cashiers are always super friendly and at least attempt to call me by my name when I check out which is different, but nice. Very clean store. It’s best to go later in the evening because, well… it’s Sun City!

As far as grocery store’s goes… this one was pretty good. Every store varies from layout to layout even within the same chain; but I had no problem finding everything i needed for a 4 item brunch for 20 people. There a whole flower and balloon area with a pretty decent collection of things to satisfy most customers unless you are looking for something very specific. One thing I will say is that the person that was helping the people infront of me with the balloons was having trouble with the register so she brought them to a different counter; BUT send over the guy working the starbucks counter(oh yeah they have one) over and he helped me out. So I thought that was pretty nice of them.

The florist manager is great, but i have not had a great experience with the night manager. He seemed upset that i was stopping him from tidying the shelves to ask about putting an order in for flowers. He said he had no clue how to order flowers and could not help me. I would need to come in and speak to the Florist Manager in the morning… Well I work and i wanted to order flowers as a surprise thats why i was there in the evening. thought it was odd.

Old People. Everywhere. I love old people. But they are slow, so if you’re not in a rush then you’ll survive a visit here. Just watch out for the golf carts slipping into your parking space right in front of your eyes. This place has a Starbucks inside, which is pretty cool. Unless of course, their cash registers break down leaving you stranded with ice cream melting in your bag while you wait 10 minutes for the registers to boot up again in the 120 degree Arizona heat. I guess I should really blame Microsoft Windows for sucking. This place has typical grocery food with a decent bakery and bread selection. Not bad for the basic needs of the elderly population, but nothing fancy.

Whenever I’m not in Los Angeles, the Bay Area, or Manhattan, I am continually amazed at what can be done when space is not at a premium. Shopping at this roomy Safeway, which has its own gas station, is nice. It is appropriately air conditioned for its location and there are carts stored indoors if the ones outside are too warm(particularly a consideration if you are going to put a child in the cart). Otherwise, this is a normal Safeway. Alternatives include a nearby Albertson’s and Sprouts Farmers Market.
