This Ace Hardware has greatly improved since I first starting visiting it a year ago. Maybe it is because they now listen to MY old people’s stories. Hmmm. Don’t know. But now they know me and treat me really well every time I come in. I think they got some better employees. Old Fart employees. And us Old Farts love other Old Farts. And I do have to say their hardware section is pretty darned good. Oh, and they have a genuine, real, old-​fashioned United States Post Office which is mighty convenient.

Customer service is always pretty decent in this franchise. It obviously reflects in their pricing. When you can’t find those hard to find items or you just need 1 of this or that you’ll find yourself hitting up an ace. Hopefully, they have that one item on the shelf for you. This location was out of this and out of that so this MacGuyver really had to rack his brain on getting the job done. In my line of work I can’t rule this place out but I think Ace really needs to step up their game or they will eventually get passed up by the giants. 1950’s ideas of a hardware store isn’t making waves in the 2k’s
