Picture Build

If you looking for contractor who cares and stands behind their work, that is Picture Build Brian and his crew. They did my whole backyard pavers, and it looks great. Brian had resolved all the issues in professional manner. His workers were very receptive to all our concerns, and easy to communicate. I find construction a rather stressful process, but Brian’s understanding and nice manners helped through it. I am grateful and highly recommend him.

Brian and his crew did an amazing job on our little patio! It was a total mess before, with the concrete sinking and drawing water toward the house, instead of away. It was hard to picture what it could be, but Brian sketched it out and assured me that it’d look great.
I called about 5 different paver/​concrete installers and I was having a hard time even getting them to come look at my patio. I had one company, PVM, who blew me off 3 times right at the scheduled time, and I took time off from work to accommodate their schedule! I had others that would only come out if I agreed to the $ 5,000 minimum, and I had a guy quote me twice what Picture Build quoted me! To say I was frustrated was an understatement. The whole search took nearly two months. Once I got in touch with Brian, everything changed. He came out within a day to look at my patio. He was super-​responsive, and he had a ton of work going on aside from my little patio; big jobs. We got the work done within a couple of weeks (over the holidays) and the space looks fantastic.
We have a townhouse, so I asked Brian to make sure the crew was as respectful as possible of the neighbors, and boy were they! The never left a speck of trash behind, and they did everything they could to stay out of the way of other residents. It was way better than expected.

Called and spoke to the owner and told him what I wanted. He stated he was busy and has a 5,000 minimum? and he MIGHT be able to come out next week, no definite. Who would want to do business with someone who has lousy customer service skills, just over the phone? Showed me what his intentions are. Maybe he didn’t want to drive to Santa Clarita to look at my project and quote. I have no issue with the 5,000 minimum but really? AND HE MIGHT BE ABLE TO? Either way I used my local Gardner and he didn’t over charge me like this company would.

We cannot say enough about Brian Godley, owner of Picture Build, but here goes:
We interviewed about five different companies, Brian was not the least expensive nor the most; however, we had a sense, which proved correct, that Brian would get the job done as we envisioned, for the price he quoted, which was quite reasonable for the amount and difficulty of the work we wanted.
So in case you are looking for someone to convert your front or back yards with California Friendly/​drought tolerant plants and/​or pavers or other hardscape, we highly recommend Brian. Not only did he work with us on the perfect design, he was honest, respectful of our time and property, came in on budget, and did an outstanding job. The pavers we had installed are permeable which allow the rain water to permeate to the water table — best for our trees and environment — no wasted runoff! He also built the fire pit, pony walls, garden area, and outdoor bbq to our specifications — all came out beautifully!

I came back to Picture Build after choosing another contractor because the contractor I had chosen kept adding on charges, making his final cost much higher than the quote given by Picture Build. Brian at Picture Build gave me a price with no add-​ons. His crew of four came in on a Thursday and were done one week later, and this was not a small job.
The work was done beautifully. The job was pulling up and replacing an original 1925 brick patio which was cracked and uneven. The crew brought up the brick, saved most of the bricks, filled the cracks, leveled the cement pad, reset the bricks, widened the steps, removed ill-​conceived cement flower boxes, and set in artificial turf on another patio on the other side of the house to boot. The workers were polite, and punctual, stayed until dark, and never bothered us in the house.
I would recommend Picture Build to anyone looking for honest, professional work.

Brian at Picture Build is awesome. He did my patio, which was in major need of a redo. He quoted me a price and stayed within the budget. His crew showed up on time and did the job in a day. Brian did the work on the fence, and it turned out the posts were rotted out, he replaced the posts and did everything right at no additional charge for the extra work this involved. Thanks to Brian I now spend many hours of relaxation on my beautiful patio!!! I would use Picture Build for any of my outdoor needs.

So I needed someone to come to my house and lay down brick in the backyard. I called a lot of different companies and got a lot of different quotes. I decided to go with Picture Build. Not because they were cheaper because I did get a lower quote, but because I had a good feeling about Brian who came to my house to meet with me.
We had brick in the backyard already, but it was done poorly by the previous owners. Completely uneven, there were parts of the yard that you would roll your ankle on if you were not very careful. I didn’t even want to have guest over because they might twist their ankles and sue me. I pulled all the brick out of the ground to see that the brick was just placed on dirt and nothing else.
Brian and his team came and turned our backyard into a place we actually want to hang out in. They took the existing brick that I pulled out and put it back in the ground, but they did it properly. They ran into a situation where they ran out of brick. Brian came up with a plan to cut some of the bad pieces of brick in half and make it into some shape and by the time he was done I had a very nice patio area.
Is it perfect? No, but that’s because we did not put him in the best situation, but for what we gave him, he did the BEST he could which is still better than what it was. His team even did some extra stuff like removing a very dangerous metal pole that was stuck in the ground from the previous owners. I had it covered up with brick so no one would trip and die on it. They saw the danger of this and removed it for me. Also, his crew had to use my hose and it was broke. None of us were sure if they broke it or if it was broke before they got to it, but instead of hiding the situation from me, Brian calls me and says «we might have to get you a new hose. We are not sure if we broke it or if it was broke so we will just get you a new one.» I told him because of his work and the deals he was able to make me and for his honesty, he didn’t have to worry about it.
I give this company my biggest seal of approval. If you want work done on your yard, THIS IS THE COMPANY TO USE! They are quick and professional. Can’t go wrong with Picture Build. You just can’t.
