I LOVE coming here. Super relaxing ambience. Min is the coolest here staff member. He’s super friendly and personable, which I love. He makes my beverage with lots of passion! In the winter time it can be a bit cold if you’re sitting for a couple hours trying to work but other than that love this place. Free Wifi!

I don’t come here often because it is out of my budge, but whenever I do the ambiance is always calming, perfect for studying especially if you like to study/read with a bit of noise around you. There is full glass windows so you can always doze off. Everything is freshly made, I have had the hot chocolate(5 $) and the shaved-ice(10 – 14 $) The hot chocolate is definitely not worth it, but the shaved ice is so yummy, it is overpriced for ice and fruits but it looks nice and treat yo self once in a while! The staff is friendly and hosts a great environment, they keep this place clean and tidy and often see staff wiping things down. Kind of cramped in the sense that each table is so close to each other that even when you speak quietly, you can bet the person next to you heard those secrets. Close to other restaurants & bars. So you can always pass time here before a reservation or a meetup. They have wifi as well for studying/e-book and whatnot!

I ordered a Vietnamese coffee, and it was alright. I was expecting it to be more bitter. I found it to be strange compared to ones you would get at a Vietnamese restaurant. I guess it is aimed towards a sweeter palate. I also ordered a brownie as well to go. It was okay. I came in wanting to use the internet to do research, and there was a couple in there ranting about a show on his cell. It was too loud for studying. I do want to go back and try their regular house coffee next time. It is probably better than that espresso.

One of the worst managed-cafes I have bee to. I went there many times around 10 o’clock and they always close the hot bar so they won’t make any cappuccinos ! Although it does display that they close at 11PM it just doesn’t make sense. just because a few people want to go home early a business should not be not making coffee’s. especially when you’re a café. It’s like a car dealer saying they have no cars for sale.

I have stopped by Caffebene to grab a coffee and do work at one of their tables. I found it a comfortable and clean environment for that purpose. The coffee was what you would expect from a chain coffee house and the baked goods/other food was above average. It is important to note, that while very good, their food is a bit expensive.

Nice and cleaner café to meet up with friends and the one drink that takes me there is the Thai bubble ice tea. The best one I have tasted at non Thai place. I can’t pass by Caffe Beene without have one. It’s my new destination to meet friends and have a desert and Thai bubble ice tea. There are other flavors available too

Not the the best or freshest pastry selection on the tables compared to the other, more well-stocked Café Bene in Flushing but for a non-coffee drinker their beverage menu is ONPOINT! I’m a big fan of the misugaru frappé — it’s this newish multi-grain high protein drink that has a delicious toasty flavor that rivals coffee IMHO. The internetz tells me it’s made with«white and brown rice, barley, black rice, alda beans, black beans, corn, white bean, millet and sesame seeds that are ground, roasted and steamed and mixed together.» Plus points for delightful air conditioning, big windows, quiet customers, and lots of available seats on a beautiful summer Saturday morning. I would come here for dessert dates.

The place itself looks pretty nice. Good place to study and chat with people. The workers are also very friendly. The food however isn’t anything to be impressed about. On top of being a little pricey, the proportions aren’t that big. I ordered the banana waffle with whipped cream and it was a lot smaller than I expected. It was also a bit on the hard side. Other than that, I think the place is fine. I wouldn’t mind coming back here.

The Caffebene in Times Square left me all pissed off with the chain, I was praying they’d go away. Like New York Hot Dogs and Coffee in the village, see ya! After dinner, my wife said she wanted coffee and Caffebene is across the street. We all cross the street and walk into a nice looking shop. The menu board looks amazing? And there is no crowd, the place seems well managed? What the heck? I think Caffebene is working it’s way into my heart. The baked goods: These baked goods remind me of Paris Baguette. We ordered a two different mini cookies in plastic containers as well as a large, flat but kinda curved cookie. Score Gelato: Gelato flavors that look amazing! Salads and Sandwiches: I’m reviewing these choices and they also look really good. Asian Sammy with bean sprouts is calling me. Waffles: Enough said. They have many different flavors along with cool topping choices. I’m starting to get woozy now My sister in law ordered a White Hot Chocolate, brother in law & wife order coffee and I ordered a Cortado that was actually pretty good. Tutto bene, I’m a fan, I’m a fan. Can you now open in Port Jeff please? We’re getting a Chick Fil A, the first in NY!

meh, i really want to like caffebene, it’s so cute and parisian. but i can’t, I JUSTCAN’T with their rude service, overpriced items, and lackluster food. came here a few weeks ago with the bf because i was craving bingsoo(shaved ice). the bf and i got a few items and here’s what i think: –iced caramel macchiatto: ridiculously sweet and yet, watery at the same time. all i could taste was the syrup(thick layer of it). i much prefer starbucks’ version, less sweet, and able to taste all the subtle flavors of milk, caramel, and espresso.(no, i kid you not). –pastry with hot dog and corn: sweet and savory, the bf liked it. –strawberry bingsoo: omg, it was HUGE and definitely enough for 2 – 3 ppl to share. again, it’s too sweet for my liking. there’s so much strawberry syrup, sweetened red bean; but the fresh strawberry was very tart. however, i have to give them credit for drizzling milk over the shaved ice, gives it more flavor. the three items added up to roughly $ 20, which i think is insane for what it is. the guy who took my order looked really annoyed and made me felt like i was disturbing him for coming in. not sure if i want to go back to be «a hassle» to someone. lol. definitely overrated and overpriced, sorry, caffebene, no love for you!

I wanted to give this place 5 stars because I’ve been to other caffe bene’s in the city and they’re not nearly as good as the one here. Here, the food is much more fresh and prepared much more neatly. Plus, the service is much better. Overall, I really can’t complain about this place. PS their waffle and gelato combo is soooo good.

Awesome place. The green tea latte is delicious, the ham and egg sandwich awesome, the dessert tray super scrumptious-looking, the service friendly. There’s also a ton of tables AND free wifi.

I’ve driven by this place many times since it opened and finally decided to come in for a cup of coffee on a Sunday afternoon. I honestly thought it was going to be a generic version of Starbucks. Little did I know that when you walk in, you’re greeted by a huge display of all different pastries and desserts. I walked around it once or twice and admired all of the different sweets. However, I was pretty hungry, so I decided to go for a wrap instead. I got the shrimp wrap while hubby enjoyed his ham and egg sandwich. The food was ready within 5 minutes and tasted savory. As far as the coffee, iced caramel macchiato is my go-to summer drink at Starbucks so I decided to get it a go at Caffebene. I hate to admit that I liked theirs much more than Starbucks! The place itself was really cute. Lots of tables all around(though most are taken by those reading or studying). In the back, there’s a bunch of stocked bookshelves that I thought really added to the character of the café. Just wondering — is this all for look or can people actually rent/buy these books? The service was pretty efficient. Of course their register system had to freeze when the cashier rang me up and swiped my card but he made sure that I wasn’t charged twice. Since the system was down for about 2 – 3 minutes, there was a line building up behind me but the cashier was professional and made sure to acknowledge everyone on the line while apologizing for the wait. Good stuff! Can’t wait to come back and try their pastries!

First things first, I love caffe bene’s style. From the logo, to the wood furniture, to the presentation of food and drinks. And in this location, there is a mini library in the back that I instantly fell in love with. Although there aren’t really any good books to read, it’s more for the atmosphere and decoration. BUT! And this is a really big but, the drink I got was horrible as well as the very cute mini waffle. Perfect example of don’t judge a book by its cover. While caffebene puts a lot of thought into the package, they don’t really put a lot of thought into the food when it comes to taste. I ordered a hot milk tea and the cup was beautiful, but it was soooooo sweet. Like half a cup of sugar sweet. And I don’t know why they would froth the milk. It’s milk tea, not latte or cappuccino. I prefer my milk tea thin, liquidly and tea-ful, not thick, super sweet, and milky. The waffle was ten times sweeter. I had the strawberry choco which was again, beautiful and cute. And yes frosting is as expected sweet but the bread also had sugar inside. Like chunks of sugar. Little crystallize crunchy balls of sugar within the bread part that you can hold like little pieces of diamond. Which sounds great, but do I really want to eat chunks of sugar my bread and frosting? Nope, not me. Definitely gotta ask for less sugar if I order any drinks in the future. I feel like I had 5 deserts in the 5 minutes I was there. Everything is also quite expensive. But you pay for the presentation. And I’d gladly pay if the taste was up to par. On the side note. I had shaved ice at another location once and that was pretty good. But I guess, just be careful of what you order.

The setting has an European feel. When you walk in, the pastry table welcomes you(a good marketing idea to boost sales.) Designed with fun shapes, it looks like a paradise for pastry lovers. I usually order a thai ice tea with the tapioca balls. Delicious! I love the taste! We ordered some pastries before. They tasted sweet. Maybe a little too sweet for me. I love the ambiance of this place! I find it relaxing, and laid back — more like a cool coffee house. This place is the coolest! Totally recommend it!

Admittedly, any coffee shop in the area will probably be a success considering the lack of this kind many blocks around. Lets imagine that similarly to K-town in Manhattan, Sunnyside is suddenly conquer by coffeehouses with nice seating, coffee, more or less creative beverages, pastries, food to bite and exaggerated prices. Would you still have Caffebene in the top of your list? I would certainly do. I can’t speak for their food menu(sandwiches, salad) neither the specialized desserts. But the bakery selection makes a decent job and the coffee is pretty good. However, I am absolutely surrounded to their hot green tea latte. They use matcha green tea, the right amount of sugar and a heaven amount of steamed milk that makes the texture creamy. It is not bitter, it is hot, it is delicious and I can’t get enough of this. I think very soon my face will get printed in their cups in my honor for ordering it over and over. And over again. Anyways, the service is friendly, It could be faster in occasions but at least the drinks have always been consistent. The seating is calm and inviting. Aesthetics does not differ from other Caffebene around the city. Somehow there is always a seat, and if you are familiar with Caffebene’s interior design you already know there is an area dedicated to study with a communal table, bookcases(with books) so you get inspired to get your work done. And you certainly can. The vibe, the customers and the natural lighting makes it a place where it is just comfortable to get lost with your computer. Which looks like it is in fact the founder’s intention when he had the idea of the coffee chain*. An area inspired by the Korean Sarangbang**; that room for studying in traditional Korean houses. Combine that with an European inspiration*, the popular«cafes» where we, Europeans, spend afternoons for a quality leisure time. CaffeBene, certainly«Café Good”*** * ** *** word«Bene» in the brand name comes from the Italian word for«good.”( )

This place is a trap! It is a decoy! It is a honeypot! It sucks in people who are in search of a good cup of coffee and a pastry and disappoints them to the bone. I wanted a good cup of coffee — but what they gave me was weak and tasteless. It was not cheap — but I tossed it all after taking a few sips.(I took the 20 minute train ride to Manhattan to get something real.) (An odd process they have there is to «ask» if you want cream/milk in your coffee — then *they* put it in for you rather than you help yourself. I suspect this is because the brilliant owner knows the customers cannot be trusted — a big thought bubble appeared over my head when the girls were putting the milk in my coffee with the words«The owner is a cheapskate!») The pastry was stale. They forgot to put up the«Three Days Old» sign on the display — though the price was what one would expect for fresh goods. They are likely still in business because there is no where else to go. If they rely on good coffee and pastry to attract and retain customers I’d be sweating bullets if I were the owner.

It’s a cute Korean café, the setup is welcoming and it’s a great place to get work done or study, etc. The pastries and the dessert items are very hit or miss, I think they all look phenomenal but a lot are just so so. The food: Red Bean Bingsu– Red bean shaved ice, it was OK, I thought the vanilla ice cream had an odd bandage taste. The red bean was nice but it was a tad sweet. The mochi was texturally nice. The Bingsu is definitely something you share. Blond sugar cookie– it was a good cookie, nice chew and good flavor. Oatmeal raisin cookie– it was pretty good, it wasn’t great by any means. It was an OK cookie. Red Velvet cookie– this I didn’t like at all, nobody at the table was a fan of it either. This is a total skip.

So far this is my favorite Caffebene out of the ones I been to. Maybe its because it escapes the craziness of Manhattan and is located in a calmer neighborhood. The place is organized and well lit. Additionally, the little library in the back is a nice touch and makes it seem more like a café. The staff is also friendly and helped me bring forks and knifes to my table when my hands were full. This Caffebene is also the first one that didn’t run out of something when ordering. Finally got to try their waffles… Overall, this is a nice addition to the neighborhood that was lacking in dessert places(apart from the few froyo places) and will be a go to place for my sweet stuff cravings.

Café Bene, the latest addition to Sunnyside’s limited coffee shops, shines with an ultra vibrant atmosphere, 5 star service, and severely overpriced coffee, pastries, and snacks. It’s a great café for the studious person, one in need of a quiet place to read and relax, or a first date when one is too cheap or broke to take the girl out to a fancy dinner. Note Burger King is 2 streets away. The coffee shop is ½ the size of the Starbucks near 46th with ample seating for couples and a large table in the back for a group of 6. During the weekends the seats are limited. Come early or be left standing. In terms of service, all the baristas and staff are exceptionally friendly and quick to serve with a sincere smile. I could distinctively see that the staff enjoys the work. Come here ready to pay a premium for the coffee so be sure to stay and get your moneys worth!
