There are not any real concerns for me when wanting to take my husband to a thrift store. He is a HUGE fan of them and I am not so much. This is one of the nicer ones in the area and has a polite staff. I admit the 3 stars in based, in part, on my inherent personal bias towards thrift stores as a form of retail.

Ehh I’ll give them three stars out of sympathy just because they have such bad ratings already. This shop is small and can be looked through quickly. Gone through several times and have never seen anything remotely appealing. It also always creeps me out to see used underwear being sold at thrift stores. but if you are into that this your place to go lol

This Sunnyside Thrift Shop(aka Good Buy Thrift Shop) has nothing to do with it’s same name cross street neighbor( ), and though it may be hard to distinguish the two by name, they are hardly the same animal. Here at Good Buy, the selection is considerably more limited. The owner is a nice Mexican gentleman who is quick to point out they are one of the only stores in the area that still sells VHS tapes(#1). The real deals to be found here like at most thrift stores is in their clothing selection, which can be perused in less than 5 minutes. As a guy there is even less selection, usually of some old jeans and random t-shirts donated by some generous locals. Price negotiation seems doable here, despite hard prices on most tags, I’ve seen folks bargain their way from a inexpensive price to a dirt cheap one. So what’s with the three stars? Oh, that’s because I managed to find a bright Juicy Couture jacket that looked new. And it was only $ 5. And that’s why I still come here. __________ (#1) From the looks of it, they better be selling VCRs too.

This review is only for the books– small selection priced at $ 1 each(not sure if that applies to softcovers only, or hardcovers as well). Either way, $ 1 for softcover is not great. This is not a place to stock up on reading material. Meter parking is pretty decent on a weekday late morning/early afternoon, though.

This thrift store is pretty small, but it’s pretty well organized. That makes it easy to pop in and do a quick glance. I haven’t looked much at the clothes here, but they have some(nothing vintage or anything). They also have a small amount of dishes, knick knacks, and books. I have found a couple things here — so it is worth checking out once in a while if you are walking by.
