Really nice pizza and at an amazingly low price. The portion size is huge(maybe it is standard pizza sizes everywhere but I don’t order pizza when I eat out so I wouldn’t know). We should have ordered a small for two adults but we got a medium which was 8 slices and it was so rich that we had to box the last 3 slices. Also — After a long time, I found a place that has Anchovies as a topping option(most of you are screwing up your nose as you read this, but different strokes for different folks)!!! They also have sicilian deep dish style but I personally liked their new York style pies. The canoli was exactly the right amount of sweet with a drizzle of the raspberry(??)sauce. I saw almost everyone else get the calamari but we opted for the garlic knots instead because it was heavily recommended on Unilocal — but I didn’t find it amazing. I would have given an extra star if the garlic knots were a little light and fluffy– I found it a little too doughy. The staff were very friendly and they let you eat in peace. The joint is very casual for friends or family to hang out. The beer was $ 9 for a pitcher which I think is also very cheap. Didn’t get to try their sandwiches or spaghetti — but the family next to us seem to be enjoying their’s. Over all… I think I have found my new favorite pizza place in Sunnyvale/Santa Clara.

This is the place to go when you want satisfying pizza! I was introduced to this place through work. Since then, I have enjoyed several business and casual lunches through Giovanni’s Pizzeria. They deliver, so oftentimes we will have large deliveries made to the office. Their menu is huge. We usually stick to their specialty pizzas: Combination, Vegetarian and Rustica. Good stuff!

Definitely some of the best pizza we have had in the San Jose area. Round pie is the way to go. Sicilian is good but no di fara(Brooklyn, NY). Love that you can order just a slice.

Simply the best pizza I have had in the Bay Area so far. Not the most romantic of places, so date somewhere else, but otherwise full five star.

I ordered the weight watchers and cheese pizza. Weight watchers for me and cheese for the kids. I am an absolute fan of the weight watchers pizza! It was sooo tasty! Is it still a «weight watchers» pizza when you eat the whole thing? LOL We ordered pick up and the pizza was ready in about 15 minutes. The guys behind the counter were really nice and helpful. I would definitely visit this place again!

The pizza was good. We had the pizza delivered and the came without being in any type of cooler, so the pizza was cold when it arrived at our location. The driver was very nice and brought all items we requested via the website ordering form. I would have just preferred that the delivering had a way to keep the pizza warm during the delivery.

Well it’s undeniable that there’s something wrong with this place(the workers even look miserable). We got two baked ziti pasta plates and it tastes alright but the portions are now half the size they used to be. I mean it’s just way too small. The bread is old, dry and hurts to eat… its at least 4 days old. We’re not coming back to this place and I don’t recommend others come here either!

The worst experience that i have ever had in a restaurant anywhere. The only saving grace is the pizza. The owner will not even respond to a bad reveiw on Unilocal.I was here the other day and had a hell of a time getting water. i was totally being ignored and had to raise my voice so i can get some water??? Yes don’t expect water in a timely manner. When you mention how how hard of a time it is to get water he will walk away and yell«Jesus?» Of course the owner is failing to understand the customer is the reason why ur in business how many strikes so far? At least 2 and cause this guy is the owner lets be kind and say 7 strikes struck out more then twice so far next comes The reason the owner needs to step down. What this really bad owner has done and said is wrong so i decide 2TELLTHISHORRIBLEOWNERWHENHEISONTHEPHONEMAYBEHELPINGSOMEONETHATYOUNEVERMENTIONTO A CUSTOMERWHAT You told me, again this owner is a fool he tells me ‘Your disturbing the customers i might call the police?’ How many strikes is that know let’s be kind and say maybe 2,000? That might not be enough infinity is more like it which translates to SHUTTHISPLACEDOWN!!!

I had to order lunch for a group of 12 and Giovanni’s have the best review out of all the places, so I ordered three, Giovanni’s Combination, Giovanni’s Gourmet and Giovanni’s Rustica. All of them are really good The pizza were so fresh, it was vaping.

On the outskirts of Sunnyvale, off the middle of nowhere off Lawrence Expressway is Giovanni’s Pizzeria. Be sure to have your Google Maps set, so you don’t miss this restaurant hiding behind the corner Shell station and amongst a strip of Asian restaurants. Don’t let the location fool you though, because Giovanni’s is some of the best New York Italian food you’ll eat! I was introduced to Giovanni’s a few years ago and I’m happy to report that the faces and food have not changed. I brought my girlfriend here to experience this amazingness for the first time and based on the remainder of food left on her plate, it looks like we will be heading back frequently. We started with the garlic knots and really had to limit our intake because I knew what was coming and I had to save room. I ate the eggplant Parmesan sandwich and the bread was to die for. The meal was light yet satisfying and made me feel full but not disgusting.(Phew!). My girlfriend tried the Chicken Adriano and quite frankly, I couldn’t really ask her how good it was because she was inundated with it. I also ordered the cannoli and let me tell you, any place that can serve me a great cannoli is at the top of my list. Easy parking, lots of seating and the delicious menu makes this spot a must try!

Giovanni’s is a household name for Lakewood village in Sunnyvale. I have been going to this Pizzeria since I was a kid. They have the same family who owns it and have basically seen me grow up. The food is excellent, the service is awesome and I recommend this place highly. It is thin crust pizza, large slices and full of flavor. The cheese fries are a family favorite in my household and don’t forget their salads either. One salad is enough for two! Will always return here.

Giovanni’s is conveniently located super close to my work, so it has become the default place for any and all team lunch outings. They have plenty of seating, take reservations, and have speedy service = perfect for large parties. Only complaint is that they sometimes forget about special requests(e.g. no mushrooms on pizza, dressing on the side). Just make sure to repeat it a couple times. The pizzas are HUGE and come thin-slice by default. Even the Weight Watchers pizza(basically a veggie pizza with very little cheese) is good! The crust is thin and crispy. The salads here are actually pretty good as well. Both the antipasto and grilled chicken salads are simple, but yummy.(tip: if you ask for dressing on the side, also ask for the«olive oil» on the side. There seems to be 2 dressings per salad by default) I also love the calamari appetizer. The squid to batter ratio is on point, making each calamari piece crunchy and not too oily. One of my favorite dishes here :)

Delicious New York style pizza! The dough is thin, with the perfect amount of chew, and the toppings are fresh and everything is made to order! If you need a cheesy fix, this is the place for you! I recommend the plain cheese and the gourmet pizza(with pesto, garlic, ricotta and sausage). Yum!!! :)

Giovanni’s one of my favorite pizzerias! I’ve dined here a couple of times and ordered pizzas for takeout and they are consistently good. Well, for starters, their pizza base is made with hand, and not with other automatic pressers. I loved their chicken rustica pizzas specifically — perfectly sauce base, generous chicken pieces, tomatoes and just enough cheese(not too much and not too little). It’s a locally owned pizzeria; so the owner and workers really care and are very friendly towards patrons. Highly recommend Giovanni’s!

Old school. Interior old; Zombie business; they don’t make enough profit to expand and so the interior is old and dilapidated. Owner has some personality quirks. First time the weight watcher pizza was the best pizza I ever had. The carmelized veggies stand out because they aren’t obscured by the cheese. Second time; the owner just ignored me as I was sitting there working on my computer. Just left after 15 mins. Not sure if there is a racist vibe in that place. Just not going back. Something not right over there. Best not to take a risk with someone spitting in my food or something worse.

Great Pizza! Came in on Halloween for pizza with friends and loved every minute of it. 1. Garlic Knots! A must try! They melt in your mouth and are perfection. 2. Weight Watchers Specialty Pizza I am not on weight watchers, but really enjoyed the toppings on this pizza.

They have cannolis. Really really good cannolis. I came for the cannoli, got a cannoli, was very happy with the creamy deliciousness of the inside of the cannoli and the crunchy shell. Will come back for the cannoli. The pizza was good too! You can tell everything about it is fresh and well made. But seriously, I’ll be back anytime the cannoli craving hits.

This place deserves way more credit. Hands down Giovanni’s is The BEST. let me say it clearly. THEBESTPIZZA shop of all the Bay Area. I’ve eaten at lots of great pizza shops around the Bay Area and no pizza slice tastes better than Giovanni’s. I cannot believe I haven’t been here yet??! If it wasn’t for my good friend Vic telling me about this place, I wouldn’t have never known about it. Being born and raised in Sunnyvale, CA, I could not believe I never knew this pizza joint existed. Giovanni’s deserves more reviews and exposure out in the foodie community. I’ll have to do it myself. From the moment I walked inside, I noticed the beautiful interior with nice tables, silk brown curtain drops, rustic fireplace-type décor, an open kitchen with fresh dough/foods being prepared, etc. There are NY portraits on the walls that are subtle and clean looking. The menu contains pizzas, pastas, appetizers, desserts, drinks, etc. It’s a pretty large menu with authentic Sicilian style foods. Prices range from $ 3 – 17 which is perfect! The food definitely matches it’s price without a doubt. From the portions of the pizzas/dishes to the authentic NY taste. Mark my words when I say this. Giovanni’s is the exact definition of great New York style pizza. If you’re wondering what NY pizza is like, come here! This is it. The Brooklyn type pizzas with true homemade dough, tomato sauce, fresh imported cheeses, etc. This is the one. I recommend ordering their popular pepperoni slice which is a hit. The hot oil is drizzling off the pizza itself, with the crispy-tender pepperoni pieces, and that sweet-sour fresh tomato sauce! The imported cheese that they use melts perfectly all together with the ingredients giving off this bite with lots of texture. The water from the dough has got to be from Brooklyn too because I noticed a sweeter dough content rather than that salty taste. The owner’s name is Rosario Spatola. Rosario learned most of his craft from both his parents whom are both from Palermo, Sicily. Rosario arrived in New York(Bushwhick, BK) for a better opportunity. He later then became a master craftsman for the perfect New York pizza. After years of cooking and experience he relocated here to Sunnyvale where it’s become a neighborhood gem and an importance to the community by sticking to an independently-owned and family run business. This allows the freedom to use the freshest ingredients without lacking the quality. Words doesn’t do justice. I suggest everyone coming here for a slice. Whether its with friends or with family, Giovanni’s will cater to each setting. The employees here are like family. They know how to put a smile on your face and they make sure you have a great pizza on your plate. Theres no other place in the Bay Area like it in terms of a pizzeria. A special thank you to my friend Victor about the suggestion and that push to come. For now on, I’ll be only coming here for pizza; no other place. I just can’t. Every bite I take, draws me back to NY. This gives me the feels without a doubt. I’ll be coming back with my camera and will be posting about Giovanni’s on my blog! Coming soon!

As far as thin crust New York Style pizza goes, Giovanni’s has the recipe down for sure! A five star pizza in my book! A colleague introduced this place to me kind of off the beaten path in a Lawrence Expwy strip mall east side of the 101. It definitely has a following, as my colleague has been coming here for several years now. The places packed in pretty quickly during lunch hour. Definitely a spot for those in Silicon Valley We ordered up a medium pepperoni and mushroom. The pie was perfectly melty and crust was not too crispy and thin like NY Style should be. Not a slice was left behind, and we were perfectly satisfied. Their menu also offered pastas and other Italian comfort foods that look appealing to try on a future visit. Service was fast and attentive. Parking can get slim during lunch hour. Will be back for sure! In fact I am still thinking about that first slice!
