My friend considers this place his baseline for phở places — places better than here are worth going back to, and places worse than here are probably not. As for this place? Well, I guess this makes it the threshold for places worth coming back to. The service and food were both fine, so there’s nothing to complain about, but it also wasn’t spectacular. Still, I would not mind coming back here to see if I would improve this rating.

Went to this place during a work lunch with the team. Ordered #1 combination on the menu. IT was delicious! The meatballs can be from a fresher source, but the broth was on point. Definitely going back when I am in the neighborhood.

Been coming here from time to time and always been happy with the food and the service… Food comes in early and it was delicious, not to mention the price which is cheap compared to other phở restaurants…

I really enjoy the décor of this place that is very unique to say the least — a traditional Japanese interior with wooden booths and a koi pond near the front. They also have TVs around the restaurant, so you can definitely catch a sports game during your meal. It also is a lot cleaner than other phở places in the area, which is always a plus. As all vietnamese restaurants, the service is pretty nonexistent but super quick. They will swing by to take orders after a minute of being seated and food comes out piping hot after a handful of minutes as well. None of the food will blow your mind, but it’s been very consistent every time I have come here. I do like how they have unique alternatives to your standard rice plates and phở that are worth trying, such as the piping hot rice in a clay pot and the satay phở. Definitely a place to check out to fill up your vietnamese cravings.

This place is okay — I did like that it has a decent private parking lot(not shared with any other business) so parking was really easy. They also have a nice enclosed sitting area where folks can wait if there’s a wait. That said, the phở was mediocre. They have all the options in phở(rare beef– tai, brisket– chin, flank– nam, tendon– gan, and tripe — sach). :-). I’ve memorized the words since I eaten so much phở in my life(not at this place). Plus, we all got really thirsty midway during the meal so I suspect msg in the soup? I guess this place is alright if there were no other options available. But since this area has so many other great options, I probably won’t be back.

Being Vietnamese I hope that I know my phở. Not having much high hopes that this place was not that good since it was located in Santa Clara and not in San Jose or Milipitas where the Vietnamese food is much better. I was pleasantly surprised my #45 phở came out pretty good. This time I opted for the regular instead of the large which would put me in a diabetic coma. The soup was sweet and tasty. There was plenty of noodles which I liked. The mints were not as fresh which was a bummer. I really like the nice collection of cold sweet fruit teas they had. Waiters again at Asian restaurants seemed overworked and not interested. Nice little restaurant.

This review has been long pending. I have been coming here for more than a year now. Love their Phở, especially the sea food phở is awesome. Their special combo sea food, chicken and pork noodle in house special sauce is also very good. I have had phở in quite a few places, and everywhere I have found the broth to be smelly. This is the only place where it doesn’t. Definitely my go to place whenever I have phở cravings. And very reasonable prices too.

I basically only eat phở when I’m sick, which isn’t often. I’ve only been here a few times(I have a cold so I went tonight). It’s down the street, so it’s easy to drag myself here when I’m not feeling great. Food is good, tonight I had the #10, fried wontons, and garlic noodles. It hit the spot. Service is just ok, but they are quick and it’s very affordable($ 38 for 2 #10s, garlic noodles, and a huge plate of fried wontons). They have a huge menu so even if you’re not a phở fan there is plenty to choose from!

Decent Vietnamese food that’s CLEAN. I’ve been so afraid of Vietnamese food places after getting food poisoning before. I trust House of Phở, which says a lot! I was so sad that their Hu Tieu rice stick noodle was not actually served with the traditional wide noodle, but instead with their same phở noodles. The broth was good, a little underseasoned, but nothing hot sauce can’t fix!

Came to get phở when I was sick the other day. Came here with a friend and was very impressed. We sat down quickly during lunch even though the restaurant was busy. We were quickly served our soup. Raw beef with egg noodle is my favorite. Can’t complain here!

Showed up at 1:15pm this past Monday. The place was packed, but the wait was short. We ordered the eggrolls. They were amazing!!! My husband ordered a large beef brisket soup with shrimp. I ordered a regular chicken soup. I was rather disappointed in the amount of meat that was in our soup. I actually dug out the chicken and took a picture of it. I asked the server if this amount of chicken was correct. He said Yes and asked if I wanted more. Duh!!! The broth was delicious. The service was not great. We got one water refill the whole 40 mins that we were there. First and last visit here. Oh well… on to the next…

I crave the #14 phở bowl(rare steak) nearly every week! The broth here is delicious, the meat is fresh — I always ask for the #14 meat on the side so I can dump it into the soup at the table. The appetizers are not great, but the phở is amazing.

Food: 3.5 stars I had the well-done flank and lean brisket bowl of phở — the broth had good flavor, the noodles were cooked well, and the meat was perfect although I would have liked a bit more of it. Drank their tri-color beans with coconut milk shake, reminded me of a toned down version of a filipino halo halo. It’s good as a red bean dessert. —- Service: 2.5 stars Service was efficient and quick, what you’d expect from a phở restaurant that serves you tasty phở for under $ 8. However, we asked for no cilantro on one of the bowls and received no cilantro, nor green onions, nor any other spices on both bowls. After requesting a side of cilantro and green onions so we could add the toppings ourselves, the waitress said OK, but forgot. To her credit, she apologized at the end for having forgotten, so maybe we can reassess the rating in our next visit. —- Ambiance: 4 stars It’s a very clean, spacious restaurant. It is loud and definitely not fit for a nice date or anything like that, but as a place to catch up with friends or to grab a quick bowl of phở is actually a quite pleasant place. Great if you have large groups or children, as they seem to be able to accommodate groups quite easily.

Vegetarian phở and my fathers #1 phở were both okay. Total was ~ $ 19 My vegetarian phở had a lot of cabbage and sliced carrots. My fathers large phở looked like it had a lot more noodles and minimal meat than other phở restaurants. Service is very friendly and pretty efficient. Restaurant is clean.

This place is pretty good. We showed up right around opening time. My baby really liked the koi pond at the entrance. Food was pretty good. I ordered a bowl of Phở with egg noodles, tripe, & brisket. Everything was pretty tasty and the broth was perfect. I love a broth that doesn’t need any hot sauce. I do have to say, they have the best café su da that i’ve ever tasted. It was perfectly made. The shaved ice, the condensed milk, and the roasted coffee. It was just the thing I needed for my mommy brain. Service was pretty good as well, which is hard to come by in these types of establishments. They take card! Yay.

Across the street from The Domain is the House of Phở restaurant. It felt odd to just walk across the street for dinner, but there I was jay-walking my way across several lanes of traffic for Vietnamese cuisine. When I walked in, I was greeted immediately and sat down. One minute later, I was asked if I was ready to order. I passed on that offer and then another minute later(these are actual minutes) another waitress came by and asked if I was ready to order, so I just ordered Shrimp with Garlic Noodles, Fried Wontons, and a Tsingtao. The beer came in 35 seconds and the food came in four minutes. Efficiency, you can’t beat it. I used the two kinds of hot sauce that they had at the table and both were great. It is a kind of perfect dinner. Sweet service, fish in the fountain next to you, $ 15 for a good meal and a beer, and a diverse and full restaurant of patrons. Uncommon, but a great find.

Okay people! I honestly believe that I finally found a phở that’s close to mountain view and not having to drive to San Jose! The restaurant is easy to find in El Camino… They have a lot of parking. From the outside the restaurant looks small… But when you walk in… You will be surprised that the restaurant is bigger than what it looks from the outside. There is a fish fountain on the side to watch while you wait for your table… There was no wait when we got there, we were seated immediately and greeted by our server. The place is clean and the people are very nice. The phở broth is great!!! They give you a lot of meat for a small! We even ordered the wanting and it practically 12 – 15 wantons… It was a lot to share for just two ppl! And the wontons were wonderful! Overall I will come back to this place! It’s clean, the people are nice and the phở is good! I can’t wait to try the other stuff on their menu!

I usually get phở for lunch near where I work so it’s rare I ever want noodles when I’m at home on the weekend, but on the off chance I’ve got a craving House of Phở is a solid option. Parking is ample, they have both side, front and back parking which is great for when they are busy. The restaurant itself used to be a Japanese restaurant, and you’ll see pretty clearly where there used to be a tatami room in the front entrance, and overall décor is pretty nice for a Vietnamese place. There isn’t as much seating as other shops I’ve seen, but it really seems like plenty all things considered. I usually order a bowl of phở with fatty flank, rare steak, and occasionally tendon if I’m in the mood for a gelatinous treat, and that’s exactly what I had here. While I’ll agree with other reviews that there aren’t many meat slices(between 6 – 8) they were a lot thicker than some other restaurants which maybe makes it seem like a lot less. The broth here is as good as anywhere else I’ve had Phở too, clean, light but still packed with flavor. My biggest, and only, complaint is with their shallow spoons, and this is me seriously nitpicking. If you live nearby and you’re looking for a bowl of the restorative stuff, stop on by and get your slurp on.
