My Bf and I found Kurashido through an ad on craigslist. We bought a sofa and chair with throw pillows for $ 300. They were in great condition at a great price. They carry furniture in good to great condition for very reasonable prices. I’m sad to see them go because we would occasionally stop in there to check things out. We would have bought more furniture from them in the future.

I wanted to like this place, I really did. Selection was spotty, but the website listed what they did have nicely, making me think it’s legit. I picked up a coffee table and an advertised new dresser.(They do actually purport to have some new items). I had it delivered and the delivery was a half hour beyond the two hour window. So far, I’m not concerned but the dresser they brought had the back broken, and they had used tape and glue to keep it together. My roommate was home to accept delivery and called to let me know about the damage. Living only 5 minutes away I drove home and saw the damaged item and refused delivery. They refused to take the item back and left it outside yelling that this was taking too long. I called the number and they didn’t answer. For customer service atrociousness and non-conforming goods I give them 1 star. However, the table did turn out to be fine so I’ll give them a half. Beware of the 2nd hand status though. They actually have many assembled new items intermixed from a cheaper furniture line that is made to look different. Summary: If you need a cheap piece of furniture and can properly inspect it yourself in the store and can transport it yourself, this may be a viable option, but the operation as a whole is deceptive and geared towards the one deal customer. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were still«going out of business» months from now.

They are going out of business. they will probably be gone by the end of the month, altho they said they will close whenever they finish selling everything. I’m really sorry to see it. Kurashido is located in a really random place in industrial Sunnyvale and I only knew about it from Unilocal.I looked on their website and saw the perfect couch, but they had already sold it. The employees are super helpful and are not all about pushing you into buying anything. I told them what I was looking for: a white sleeper sofabed, and they took down my name and said they would call me when they got one in. which is great service. they have a Japanese room with japanese furnature, a few toys and lots of books in Japanese. Go if you have the time, before it’s too late! they probably have some great sales.

The quality of the furniture and housewares is so much better than thrift shops like Goodwill or Salvation Army. New and used items are available; the used items are clean have been well kept. I furnished my mom’s studio apartment plus delivery for several hundred dollars last year and consider the overall transaction a very good value. The staff is very nice as well.

I’ve never personally bought anything there but I’ve been there numerous times and they have extremely good deals on furniture. If you can’t find it on craigslist try here. Their no bargaining policy kind of sucks, they should change it to be more competitive.

I enjoy shopping for furniture alot, so when I find a store that sells slightly used very good quality furniture I’m always willing to share. This is a Japanese owned and operated business that recieves alot of furniture from Japanese familys that are returning to Japan after a short time here. Extremely clean and fairly new. This website is one of the best I’ve seen for furniture consignment. I only wish they were closer to the city but It’s great for those on the peninsula . Perfect spot to visit on rainy weekends for everything from furniture to electronics and appliances. Open 7 days, Mon-Fri 10 – 7 Sat & Sun 11 – 6

Great place for used and new furniture. Good service, reliable delivery, reasonable prices, decent quality. We were looking for Tatami beds. They have new ones, but we wanted to save some money, so we asked them if they had any used ones. They didn’t have one in stock, but were expecting one soon, so they called us when it arrived. Got a great deal on the bed. They also delivered a mattress that had to be ordered separately for the same flat delivery fee.

I had a great experience at this store. They sell both pre-owned and new furniture. There are 2 reasons I am not giving them 5 stars. First, because the selection is fairly limited. Most of the stuff is pre-owned, with no particular theme, so its a little hit-or-miss. However, a lot of their pre-owned stuff is featured on their website, so you can save yourself a trip, if they don’t have anything you’re interested in: The second reason is because I saw the same table and chair set in a different color someplace else for $ 50 less. HOWEVER, I chose to pay the extra money to buy from Kurashido because I liked the people there better. Had a better feeling about their honesty, etc. Versus the other place, where I felt like the people were more like hustlers.(And the price at Kurashido was still really good.) I bought a new kitchen table and 4 chairs(wood back, upholstered seat) for under $ 300, including assembly. They also had some beautiful higher-end pieces with Japanese style(e.g. a very unique and attractive CD cabinet for ~$ 800). They can deliver for a reasonable fee, however, I could fit it all in an SUV, so I saved the delivery cost. They were very helpful in packing the SUV, bringing out packing material to make sure that the items didn’t knock against each other during the drive. I though this was particularly nice, since I had opted not to pay them for delivery, so wasn’t expecting help loading.

Kurashido sells pre-owned furniture at very reasonable prices. Many of the items they have can be seen on their website with the price usually listed. I have found some bargain bookshelves, a desk and even golf clubs for next to nothing. The vast majority of their inventory varies from good to like new condition. They even have a few items that are brand spanking new! Minus one star for their ‘no barganing policy,’ but they still do have some deals to be had. They also accept credit cards.
