Maybe it’s the 3 Blue Moons and shot of Knob Creek but that was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had(Lucky Burger), and the fries were freshly made from raw potatoes(not frozen) and they were damn good. Drinks, burger, fresh fries, basketball on the tele… Pretty good.

I’ve been to this place a few times, and only on St. Patty’s Day. However, there was a work function here a few weekends ago, and it was less than packed — awesome! This place is adorable. It has that pub feel, but with great décor. It feels very safe, and you can let loose with friends and now that you are in a good neighborhood. They have this badass loft area upstairs that is so cool to be on, because they have tall ceilings, it makes the place look a lot bigger than it is. On St. Patty’s day they often have Irish Dancers, or musicians come to perform. Really enjoy this place! The only negative thing I would say is that they have a weak pour-hand. The prices are just about the same at any other bar, however. I would totally come here again!

Wecome here all the time and on st paddy’s day. I am always amazed at the large crowds and how fast people are served considering. craving blt and spuds this place is the best with applewood smoked bacon a laot I must say. Julio always turns up great food on regualar days. Try the food with a great beer or bottle of wine. which they have some decent ones to choose from.

Came here to chill on St. Patrick’s day, and what a crowd! I can’t fully judge this place due to it being a themed holiday so you’re bound to have slow service and be sardined, but the complaint I do have is that their drinks were watered down. We got«shots» of whiskey and oh boy…

Me and a friend went to Lilly Mac’s Irish Bar And Restaurant on March 22, 2016. He ordered Famous Curry Chicken and Rice. The dish was appetizing, the chicken a bit hard. Later he and and another guest who had the same dish suffered from diarrhea. My friend wrote an email message on the same day to them. They were very smart. They avoided answering. So, what was a private message is now public.

This place is great for a taste of Ireland. The traditional Irish music was amazing! Service and atmosphere was top notch!!! I think it’s a great place to bring your kids over 6 years old on an early Sunday evening.

A friend and I were here prior the St Patrick weekend. The Happy Hour is from 3 to 7 and most of items are $ 6. I do have to disclose that I spend 3.5 yrs in Texas, and I have become a burger snob, so I have higher standards when the food comes with a meat patty. We ordered the Lucky Burger, Chicken Wing, Sausage Roll, Sliders and Fries. The Lucky burger is the only one that is average at best and that is because the the pretzel buns are soft and sweet, the meat patty is bland. The Sausage Roll is ok, but poorly put together. Sliders is the same as the burger, no taste in the patty. Everything else I ordered is nothing to brag about, they are Ok at best. Beer selection is ok, I understand this is an Irish Bar, but would it kill you to get some more local brands? Besides the standard Bud light, Guinness and Shock Top, I think there are only 4 other selections. Whiskey selections are very good, I tried the RedBreast(Irish Whiskey) for the first time($ 16 a shot), it was ok(There is a reason why Scotch Whiskey is more popular) The Irish Coffee tasted terrible. Service is ok, I came around 6PM on Friday, it was packed, I waited for 10 mins at the bar before someone asked me what I want to order, and the food took about 45 mins to come out. Entertainment is probably the only highlight of the night, they had a live band and Irish Dancers. Overall, I wouldn’t go out my way to come here for the food and drinks.

Sigh… The food… was…TERRIBLE…This is very disappointing considering that so many people on Unilocal say that they come here for the food specifically. I ordered a vegi-burger(so, perhaps the«Irish Pub Food» is decent, or potentially even edible). My entire plate of food was completely inedible, and I am not generally a picky eater. The fries were hard and/or mealy(clearly they had been under a heat lamp for a while), the avocado on the burger was brown, the pretzel bread tasted like it had freezer-burn, and everything was basically tasteless. The house red wine was good! The poor server and bartender were working their butts off! It was Saturday night, and there appeared to only be 2 wait-staff for the entire place(there was also a private party going on upstairs and they had to do it all!). When I entered the restaurant, there were no staff in sight; I had to wait for several minutes for the wait-staff to appear downstairs. If the management does care about their clients, staff, or food it doesn’t show! In general, this place reflected a lack of care or love. C’mon Sunnyvale! I know you are wanting desperately to be a fun, nighttime hangout location, but you’re going to have to step up your game! I can go just a few miles away to Mountain View or Palo Alto for delicious food, and a better atmosphere on a Saturday night. You need to put in some effort here… or you can just continue to be «ho hum…»

We ended up here during Super Bowl weekend. It was nice to get one of the tables by the window and just talk, people watch, and revel in the weekend(at a distance). It was early since we had just come from shopping at Target and we just wanted some time to relax while being out. It’s a nicer place than some of the other bars downtown with pleasant bartenders, waitresses, and sometimes — a band. A while back we stumble upon Celtic women’s band, complete with a harp. They played pretty well. The space is fairly large with an upstairs. A group could do nicely here. The drinks are standard and the food is average.

Nice bar with decent happy hour pricing. Waitress is friendly even when we are drunk and obnoxious. Been selection is only okay. I had to drink just one Chimay the whole night because there wasn’t anything else similar.

Nice Pub! Prices are reasonable, good drinks, responsive bartender, and attentive kind service at the tables. Some yummy great food options we all loved from the appetizers to the entrees and salads. They need to update their music, though every time I’m there they play the same music and same clips are running on the TVs.

Got the Pub burger — pub cheese and whiskey Carmelized onions atop — burger was covered in melted yellow queso like cheese and Carmelized onions. Overall good burger — very heavy only ate half with the fries. Fries are really good — fresh cut potato fries.

Have eaten here twice and food has been excellent each time. Got the wedge salad, a set of sliders, and bangers and mash(not on the menu but they make it for you if you ask). Extremely reasonable rates– salad was large enough to share and entre was good for plenty of leftovers. No Scotch Ale(bartender hadn’t even heard of it!) and no local beers or craft brews on tap. Service around lunch time had been really quick. Don’t be afraid to flag down the server or bartender, they tend to check in infrequently.

Why give a two-star review to a place with the best fish & chips we’ve ever had? Service is slow(see others comments) but that isn’t the reason, we’re never in a hurry when we eat here. So what is it? On our visit prior to yesterdays, we sat outside like we always do, since we’re here for the food, not the«pub experience.» The outdoor chairs/tables are a steel mesh construction, they need to be to survive the outdoors. BUT the steel mesh in the seats is cracking and coming loose. My wife ruined a brand new pair of jeans on her chair ANDWEDIDNOTEVENGET A ONE-DRINKCOMP. SHAMEONYOU. But — I let it go, because the food is good and the waitstaff are just doing the bidding of management. Yesterday — same chairs, still there, coming apart EVENWORSE. If I search«restaurant» and use the«open now» filter, and I’m hungry, and I go to your place, and your kitchen closed two hours ago… you get one star. Period.

Food is alright, service not great… usually even with only a few parties in the place it takes forever to flag down a waitress, and they definitely don’t come back to see if you want more drinks. Trivia is fun though, and you can win bar credits and whatnot.

In town for Wrestlemania and found this place via Unilocal. The menu sounded tasty so we planned to stop by Friday night. Unfortunately, arrived just as they were sound checking for live music which turned us away with its screech. Small places with only fair acoustics do not lend themselves to live music. But I’m old and cranky. Came back on Sunday morning to fill up before the event. Sat outside because of more sound checks and music. A beautiful day, though, so that worked. Service was a little slow; seemed only 1 waitress for the whole place. She was very helpful, though, recommending the Irish Breakfast over the Irish Stew or Shephard ‘s Pie(does shep normally have tomatoes in it?). Everyone liked their food(burgers, fish ‘n chips for others). Small beer selection. Overall, we’d come back. Without the live music, though.

I work in Sunnyvale. I have a dear friend who also works in Sunnyvale. Trust me on the following: if you are *in* Sunnyvale and want to go *anywhere* for reasonably priced drinks and eats, you’re a fool to go anywhere but here! These guys have a reasonably priced, delectable and approachable happy hour menu. How much do *you* want to pay for delicious pub grub? If your answer is «not much,» then stop looking, for chrissakes! The waitstaff is *exactly* what you want at a lovely, friendly, approachable pub. Be nice to them or I’ll fiiind you! Karen and Anita are lovely :) Seriously. Just go here and have a wonderful time. :)

Janice to bartender: «hi! I was wondering, can you make me something with muddled fruit and top it off with soda water?’ Bartender raises eyebrows, «um. « Janice: «sorry, I just can’t do sugar in my drinks right now and no alcohol either» Bartender: «let me see what I can do.» hmm … you’re one of those crazy girls. Ok, I earned that look and rightfully so. Who the hell has the Unilocal nickname«Vesper» and not live up to it? someone, take my alkie card away!!! =0 Apparently, at an Irish Bar, it’s hard to make a mocktail without proper fruit. Hence, I got a lemonade without any added sugar. It tasted like how its supposed to taste: very sour and flat. * freakin’ detox! * Thankfully, the company I keep are bubbly and NOT … flat. The bar itself doesn’t have the look of a traditional pub, but they do have a long space with a stage in the back and a large upstairs area for private parties. The numerous flat screen TVs were showcasing futbol friendlies, ice hockey games and the occasional golf tournament.(something wrong with the lighting though? coz the golfer who did a birdie had a really bad fake tan!) Lily Mac’s is fun and casual, I hope to do some proper imbibing next time. Hopefully, I’ll report back on how a SPIKED lemonade tastes like.

Modern Irish pub on S Murphy in Downtown Sunnyvale. It’s not one of those dark-wooden, sparely illuminated traditional Irish pubs — Lilly Mac’s is more a modern take on the traditional of Irish food and drinks. A long bar, high ceilings, a stage for live music, and an upstairs area. This place definitely has the right size! The crowd on a Tuesday night was casual — some small groups chatting away, a guy on his laptop, and some regulars on the bar. Noise level was low and perfect for conversation. I bet it’s a different story on the weekend. Good beer selection incl. Smithwicks and Guinness, as well as pub food(fish-n-chips and the like for $ 6 during HH).
