I came here for breakfast this morning for the first time. I ordered the«all day breakfast sandwich.» Unfortunately, my egg & cheese breakfast sandwich was dripping with margarine, and the coffee that I tried got WORSE when I added cream. I won’t be going here again. This place is a huge disappointment.

Not a Peets but a Speciatys! Don’t expect the same good service as you would at a stand alone Peets. If I had time I would have gone to a Starbucks…

Hi there, Let me explain them 3 stars. Star 1 This took me about several sighs. Ha ! The next Starbucks was a bit of a drive from where I was coming from and this was the closest coffee shop where I can sit down and do some work — PLUS Peet’s has JAVIVA(Star 1). So it didn’t bother me that staff here can potentially be awful(based on the consistency of previous store visits). 3 minutes after giving my order, I realized I forgot my phone in my car so I went back to get it. Aaaand of course there was a heathen of a bitchacha at the counter who kept yelling«LARGESWIRLJAVIVAAA !!!» as I come back from fetching my phone from the car. She then called me a «are you large swirl Javiva ?» Um, well I was told my name –Large Swirl Javi… I mean, Veronica– would be called when my drink was ready so I motioned for the coziest table after paying for my $ 7 drink.(Whoops, forgot me phone.) Yes, this place is cozy. Star 2. Star 3. This place also has a Specialty’s inside the store. I think that’s always good ! Oh, I asked bitchacha where I may get some water(it was super humid 97 degrees today and it was my first time at this Peet’s… Possibly last too), she points at the direction of the general public«right there at the white cups». Why thank you, lady. I found the water fountain, of course. I need not ask, the place isn’t China. Sweet Regards, Large Swirl Javiva

The usual coffee experience. Mediocre and always feeling rushed. Glad they have soy milk though.

Wanted to try something different besides Starbucks today, so went into Peet’s for the first time. Never really looking at their coffee menu before I went up to the register noticed it was all food, so walked over to the register with the ACTUAL menu for coffee was. Was told that you can’t order coffee from there and that I had to walk over to the food counter. So not knowing what they had, I had to go off of the stupid commercials I keep watching for iced coffee. Though I wanted the one with the cream first, like shown on tv(which again they won’t really tell you the difference) the girl just pointed to the regular milk and sugar bar. So I ordered a small, just to see if I would like it and NOPE. But to say the least, worst layout, poor service and terrible coffee. NEVER again

Love the service at this Peet’s/Specialty location. Most staff is very friendly, I think that’s what I like the best. LOVE the way they make my coffee! Only negative it’s they don’t accept Peet’s gift card.

**Located inside Speciatly’s café. Same menu as other Peet’s locations, but they do not take Peet’s gift cards. The staff is always super duper friendly, even in the whee hours of the morning. However, service is on the slower side, which becomes a problem when there’s a line out the door at 8am and everyone’s trying to get to their morning meetings. I generally try to avoid coming here between 7:30a– 9a. I’ve never had problems with the quality of my drinks here. There was one time when my latte was extremely watered down, but no issues other than that one-off experience.

This is a Peet’s INSIDE a Specialty’s that does not accept Peet’s Coffee Gift Cards. Tons of gawkers ogling the iPads /waiting for their food creates an extremely uncomfortable environment. To each his own, though.

The staff are always kind and food is good, however, their POS(order taking) system never seems to be efficient and the order taking process is longer than necessary. The«lobby» gets very crowded with people waiting for their orders and(little observation) the food comes out onto this skinny counter space, sometimes squeezed through a small space between the wall and computer. Bottom line: giving your order may be painful and expect to wait at least 20 minutes for one sandwich.

I’m a huge fan of Peet’s and this is disappointing for me to experience a location like this. I decided to go here because it was a little closer than the rivermark plaza for me but I will not make that mistake again. On Unilocal,it does not really tell you that this is actually a Peet’s store located in a Specialty’s store. This is a huge difference since it’s more Specialty’s serving Peet’s coffee than their own standalone shop. I went around 2 pm on a weekday and yes it was quite empty inside. Even though there was only one person in front of me in line, they took forever to just take my order. When I finally got my drink(a caramel freddo) it was disappointing to see that there was no bold coffee flavor I’m accustom to with this drink. They were also missing the little specks of coffee grinds in their drink and it was noticeably more watery than a freddo should be. I’ve learned my lesson, time to stick to Peet’s stores that are actually Peet’s stores.

Place is good but can be really busy. If you come regularly, they are even friendlier. Coffee comes out well made and no complaints.

Atmosphere is very nice; however, I always wonder what makes operation of this place so bad. When I ordered coffee and sandwich, my sandwich was just sit on the counter for more than 30min and no one called my name. I didn’t see my coffee on the tray, so I asked where my coffee is. And the lady in the counter said coffee would come out from peets coffee counter. Hey something wrong here. I ordered sandwich and coffee together but didn’t come out from same counter?

Sometimes you want to just get an iced tea and chill. They have lots of outside seating and for the most part good customer service. The bonus? If you’re hungry you can go adjacent and get yourself some baked goods or a sandwich

Excellent customer service, awesome coffee, as usual!!! My husband, baby, and I came here(drove 2 hours from Monterey) to get an iced coffee drink, use the restroom, and meet a person to buy their craigslist stroller. Unfortunately, someone made a lot of money that day. We dropped our $ 100 somewhere here and no one turned it in. The coffee guys were really nice and offered us a free drink. I’d come back again if someone was kind enough to return our money.

Coffee is Ok, but I was overcharged and was not given a receipt(I asked for it, but the cashier told me she prefers to discard receipts. I paid cash)

Well… as the old adage goes, beggars can’t be choosers. Don’t let the other reviews convince you that this Peet’s is abysmal. The service can be dog slow in the morning(I don’t order anything fancy, I just usually grab a medium to large coffee, and it still can take up to 10 minutes to get that coffee), but… it’s conveniently located to Fresh and Easy and also directly on my way to the office, so it’s a win-win in that regard. The staff is very friendly despite the wait; They smile earnestly alot and that is very good. The coffee itself is brewed correctly, although it comes out burning hot, so it’s best to wait a little bit for it to cool down(again, I’m talking straight coffee, I can’t comment on any of the fancy stuff).

Look at the other reviews and you’ll see a pattern. The Specialty’s side of the business is ok. The Peet’s side is just terrible. It’s not unusual for them to forget your order. The other day I went in with friends and ordered a small latte. Not very hard. She promptly wrote my order on the cup and placed it next to the barista. Then the two of them got into a discussion and forgot that they were there to serve customers. This goes on for a few minutes while I’m being patient. I finally get her attention and she asks me what drink I was waiting for and rushes to make it. This is not atypical of their service. If it weren’t for the location(convenient for friends) then I wouldn’t come back. Luckily, I only have to put up with this service once every few weeks. And yes, I let the manager know of my experience. If you go there, set your expectations really low. Then you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

AREYOUSERIOUS? This place is a joke! You walk in, it’s very nice, very clean and you think cool this might be my new spot since I live right down the street until… You wait, and wait and wait… there it is! Someone finally greets you and asks if you need anything. You start to order but they cut you off and say you can use their new iPad ordering devices… ok? Hint taken. Walk over and use the iPad, order some pastries, some coffee, juice. Grab a pager for when your order is ready and wait. And wait… and wait… and wait… Oh hey coffee is finally done ALRIGHT! But wait… a small? I paid for a large. Well, this shouldn’t be a problem. I tell the girl who have me my drink. She looks at the ticket, says«it says small» and gives me a look. Cool, I ordered and paid for large. She grabbed the cup back and said«ok large comin up» and somehow I waited merely 30 seconds and BAM my «large mocha» was ready… How fast I wonder… Anyway. I go sit back down and we wait… And wait… and wait… Still no pager for some pastries that are staring at me through the glass all ready to go while the cashier by the pastries stands around. So I ask where my stuff is. Flustered she ASKSSOMEONEELSETOGRABMYSTUFF. Then she comes back saying there’s no more cookies I ordered(and paid for) awesome. At this point, keep your product keep your money. I grabbed my bag and threw it in the garbage while walking out. This place is a joke. Oh and I almost forgot. When my boyfriend asked to speak to the manager the cashier told us «You can call later because she’s busy over there making coffee» turns out the manager is the girl who was so unhappy to remake our already paid for drink. Oh I almost forgot again! While we were in there, another lady was complaining to the cashier«every time I come in here you guys mess up my order and I’m starting to feel like it’s deliberate» YIKES! And alllll this time sale guy is standing at the counter with his hot sandwich(probably now warm) waiting for orange juice because she had to ask someone to grab the, from the back because she didn’t know where they were. Starbucks anyone?
