Even though I live in Fremont, this is the only place I go to whenever I want to eat viet food. The phở and vermicelli are both really good and the portions are large. I usually get the vermicelli with grilled pork and shrimp with a side of egg roll. Make sure to get the viet iced coffee, it’s slow drip instead of the premix kind some places serve and it tastes absolutely incredible. The owners are really friendly and nice and the place is well-kept and clean. I only wish this place was closer to my house. thank you for reading my review

3.5 stars on my first experience here. Best part was my bf’s fresh lemonade. I’m sure we’ll be back.

This place is in a random strip mall in the middle of a neighborhood area. My parents actually told me about it and they found out about it the old school way through word of mouth. This is the ONLY phở place I’ve ever been to where I didn’t feel thirsty during and after my meal. The place is pretty big inside and the portions they give are on the larger side. Price is average for any phở place. I’ll be back!

I came for a late lunch and was the only customer so it may have highlighted the negatives about the place. Food was ok but for the price the interior and atmosphere are terrible. I felt like I was in the cafeteria at an old folks home or community center. Which is fine if you get low cafeteria prices but that’s not the case. The kitchen door was open and there was a radio blaring from there echoing out into the dining room. The acoustics just don’t sound good, it sounds cheap and will give you a headache after a while. I thought they were doing it because I was the only customer but from other reviews it seems this is the norm. At some point a man not wearing gloves or an apron came out of the kitchen singing loudly and seemed like he was fixing a drink for himself and eventually left out the front. Maybe he had been working in the kitchen but just added to the junky atmosphere. I will say as a positive they serve slow drip Vietnamese iced coffee here and it doesn’t come pre-mixed. The bill came out to be almost $ 15 for soup and coffee and that was way too much for the experience.

The vermicelli with pork and vermicelli with chicken were served with generous portions. The meat was well marinated and very tasty. My wife had their noodle soup, and although it appeared oily, she found the broth to be very flavorful. Will definitely be back again.

This is the only phở place I ever go to. It’s convenient that I live by here but I have been to countless phở restaurants & Phở Vy is by far my favorite one. The portions of the food correlate with the price fairly, the phở is absolutely yummy(tasty broth, perfectly cooked noodles, delicious meat/meatballs-everything you look for in a perfect bowl of phở), service is also really good. I think the only time they’re really busy is during lunchtime on weekdays but I usually come after lunch or early on weekends & it’s nice because they tend to all your needs & provide exceptional service. Will forever keep returning for as long as I live here in the Bay Area!

Gotta go pretty far for a better bowl of phở. They use bbq pork for the spring rolls that are unique and awesome.

Excellent service, very quick and friendly! The couple who own the place are lovely people. Also the food is so delicious and fresh here. I had the beef phở, my sister got the lemon grass chicken and my mom had the vermicelli noodle pork and every part was delicious and very well seasoned with fresh herbs and savory meat. Our favorite was probably the vermicelli pork but it was all wonderful. Locationwise its very pretty there’s a good view of Graceada Park and the entire restaurant is very clean and sweet looking. Looking likely to be a regular here :)

Great phở! And the honeydew boba tea is the best. Quick service.

So I just called in today and they said they’ll be opened within a week or two(~6/19/15)!! Anyways, this is normally my go-to place for phở. Good portions for good prices and I personally think it’s better than a lot of other phở places around this area. I usually get the phở special(the one with like everything in it haha) or the bun Bo hue(just a heads up, this is spicy) depending if I feel like having a spicy broth or not.

Unfortunately, Phở VY had a fire in their kitchen sometime around mid-December 2014. I really, truly hope that everyone is okay, and that insurance covered all of the costs. Phở Vy is one of my go-to places and I know that everyone in the community is saddened by the accident. I have been jonesing for some good Phở VY. As of Monday 2015-01-12 they aren’t open yet; the sign I saw today said that they were remodeling and that they would open ASAP. I hope that ASAP is tomorrow! Update: as of Wednesday 2015-02-11, Phở Vy is still closed. No update as to when it will be open again.

This place is great. I’ve only been for dinner and weekend lunch and it’s always the same guy working; he seems to do everything. Honestly, I love that it seems like it’s just him holding down the whole fort and dishing up some seriously good phở. Everyone I’ve brought here has loved it. It’s a hole in the wall, so keep that in mind if you come here. Service might be slow(it’s just one guy!), but the place is clean, cheap, and super tasty. I live a few blocks away and I am becoming a regular customer. I usually get the rare steak and fatty brisket phở, rip up that basil, squeeze that lime, toss in some jalapenos, and it’s unbeatable. A regular bowl is enough to fill you up for sure. I give this five stars for the combination of super tasty, cheap, and it seems like a real mom-and-pop kind of place.

Went to Phở Vy for lunch 12÷2÷14 today for the first time. I order #16 phở rice noodle soup, rare steak, flank, fatty brisket, tendons, tripe. I order the large. I could have gotten by with the small bowl. Two people could share the large. The soup flavor was very good, and they give you a lot of noodles and meats. would I go back yes if i’m in the area.

Went to Phở Vy today for lunch with a buddy. We were both very pleased with the quality and value of the phở on offer. My seafood phở, in particular, came as advertised with nice pieces of salmon. The only negative is that they have no beer license. But maybe we were better off without it!

Isn’t she lovely? Isn’t she Phở-vy? It was was pretty PHO-nomenal. PHO-sures it was good. Authenticious vietnamese style phở. I highly recommend you to coming here. Any phở soup is good. Lots of parking, so big groups are more than welcome. Uhhhh All I can say is that you need to get on the phở game up here in northern califonia. Peace and grace

The food is really good here. I’m picky about the broth and noodle texture in phở(lol I know weird) and this place has perfect broth and noodles. The noodles aren’t soggy or too hard. This is definitely a go to place for phở.

**Phở Quest Stop #43** My parents have been frequenting a phở place that must have missed my radar. It’s been a staple of theirs and they cited both a great broth and piping hot bowls as standout qualities. I finally was able to make my way there. It’s located in a strip mall and is a fairly large restaurant. Multiple tables line the interior and it gets very busy at weekday lunch as well as doing quick business for large groups. Although their name is Phở Vy, my parents always order #23 Egg Noodles with Beef Ball, Shrimp, Crab Claw, and Chicken and the Dry Vermicelli with Shrimp and Grilled Pork. I decided to order a Phở Dac Biet and Spring rolls to sample their menu. Vietnamese coffee — served in a distillation container and with condensed milk. Strong and standard fare for Vietnamese places. Spring Rolls — Lined with shrimp and vegetables as well as some grilled pork. Solid, but standard fare. Phở Dac Biet — a large regular bowl came out with nicely rare beef slices and meat balls and other cuts. The tripe and meat were free of gristle and fat and the broth was solid. It’s no Phở Y1 but it’s savory and satisfactory. Dry Vermicelli with Shrimp and Grilled Pork — tasty bowl and good portion of both grilled pork and shrimp. My favorite grilled pork is still Com Tam Thien Huong. Egg Noodles with Shrimp, Crab Claw, Beef Balls and Chicken — the broth is nice and clean as well as being more seafood based with the shrimp and crab claw than the phở. The chicken is very good. Free range and tender. Enjoyed all the meat, but the star is really the egg noodles. I don’t order egg noodles much, but they are prepared really well here. It’s a good match with the savory broth. This is what I’d order here too over the phở. Phở VY accepts credit cards, but not American Express. Came here for lunch with a friend and ordered: Egg rolls(2) appetizer $ 2.75 #25 Rice vermicelli with grilled pork and egg roll — aka Bún cha. I think it was $ 7.50 #33 Rice plate with grilled shrimp, grilled pork and salad $ 8.50 Both dishes tasted okay and the price was reasonable. My friend thought the portion of the rice vermicelli with grilled pork was substantial. The grilled meats were all tender and flavorful but the salad was a bit weak with a slice of tomato, a slice of cucumber and a few julienne pickeled daikon and carrot. The grilled shrimp were nicely seasoned however. I did not get the phở because first of all, most of the Unilocal reviewers did not find the phở very fulfilling and secondly, it usually makes me extreme thirsty after eating it. I attribute the cause being the MSG in the broth but then I still find myself having the same cotton-mouth effect with my rice plate. The culprit could be the fish sauce. This place has plenty of seating for nearby business lunch crowds. Accept credit cards. Pay at the counter.

Diamond in the rough! Better than Phở Queen on Lawrence and Tasman, IMHO. The Good: — despite what other reviewers have said, this is a clean place — doesn’t have any odors and tables and floors are clean — good well-balanced selection of noodles and rice dishes, seafood and meats — good broths for both beef phở and chicken phở — egg rolls are a good size and excellent — rice plates have option to add in the shredded pork and egg cake, which seems to be made there as not one is exactly the same — good size portions and quality food — take-out food doesn’t lose the quantity nor quality The Bad: — the beef phở broth tastes a little bit of MSG, but it’s not strong I love the wide selection — I have not found a Phở restaurant that serves both good noodles AND rice plates. Thereby, making this a great neighborhood restaurant!

This place is a happening lunch joint. I’ve been here twice for lunch and they serve decent phở. It’s not the best I’ve it’s good. This place is good for what it is – a quick in and out for lunch. It’s not a fancy sit down place. Reviews that say the phở is flavorless don’t know what they’re talking about. I am a phở maniac, and it passes with me. Like I said, not the best I’ve had but there’s nothing wrong with it. I’ll be going back when I’m in the area to maybe try out their rice plates.
