I love this place. I’ve been going here for about 13 yrs. When I leave, my long hair is always picture perfect and the color (highlights/​lowlights) is magazine worthy. I’m a little picky, but so is Manual — so we have a good time. The stylists here are professional and pleasant. Always caring. It’s not real fancy, so don’t expect gilded chairs and martinis. But if you want a GREAT cut and color that won’t break your wallet — this is the place. Sako’s is a hidden gem.

Manuel has been my hairdresser for over 40 years, now, since even before my high school graduation picture. When I lived in SF, I would drive all the way down to Sunnyvale to have him cut & color my hair. He is so talented, has a great eye for what looks good, and is especially great with very curly hair. When my son was little, he was okay with haircuts only if it was Manuel or me doing the cutting, as he did not like the «buzzy cutters».

I have been going to Blanca for over 20 years and am always happy. She gives me such a great haircut that it is easy to care for. I have had long and short hair at different times and she always has ideas of what will be stylish and look good on me. I would never go anywhere else!

I’ve been coming to Manuel for over 10 years. Besides the fact that he’s been able to give me flattering cuts and stress-​free perms, using some inner design sense of what style would look best and also his long experience with haircutting, there’s the not insignificant fact that he schedules his appointments so well! Nearly every other hairdresser I’ve ever been to is disorganized enough to require long waits. Not Manuel! He’s ready for me when stated.
I really appreciate and highly recommend Manuel for his skill. He listens well, and can do what’s asked for. Plus (at least for me) a little magic of his own.

I have been going to Sako’s for over 30 years. Manuel always gets to do whatever he wants and I always get compliments on my hair when he’s done. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. My husband has curly hair and if it isn’t cut just right it will stick out all over after he washes it. Manuel gets it right every time. He cut my grandsons’ hair for the first time. Usually a distressing experience for kids but they enjoyed every minute. Manuel always knows the best products for your hair. Highly recommend you try Sako’s — everyone there is great!

Blanca always gets my highlights just right. Every single time I go I always say the same thing,” not too brassy, not too gold, not too platinum”. Somehow she always «gets» me. She also uses the best clear gloss that has ever been used on my hair. It leaves my hair feeling silky and glossy until my next appointment. The best part is the price is very very affordable. At first I thought it was a written typo… but no… she’s just very unpretentious and does an honest job for a great price.
