Shoretel is a cutting edge company that strives to provide a world class service and a rock solids product. I am an employee so very bias but I still throughly believe in the company and its people.

Back in the day, this was cutting edge for VOIP. Im one of those folks that actually knows how to run a PBX, so this was revolutionary. However now that things like Asterix and opensource options exist, it’s hard to justify paying for things like it. You have to have their phones and you’re basically vendor locked. That may have changed nowadays with the competition but if you’re serious into the tech there are better ways to go. If you’re not so technical, than it’s an acceptable way to get telephony from a corporate point of view

The hold time to call into tech support is incredibly long I waited over 22 minutes to get to an agent. After getting to Veeanna, I was not greeted in a very friendly manner. Of course I mentioned that I tried to resolve my case online as I am used to the extremely hold times with ShoreTel support. She said that if there is troubleshooting involved, it’s too bad for me and I will have to wait in the long queue. The online support is only meant to help people with quick questions. ShoreTel support model is pretty horrible in this sense.
