Happened to be in the mood for BBQ (a never ending mood) and decided to give this spot a try. The owners have converted an old gas station into cool little BBQ joint, and I love the atmosphere of places like this! My wife had the rib plate and I got a pound of sliced brisket, both of which came with huge side servings of coleslaw and potato salad. The ribs were super delicious and extremely tender. The sliced brisket was a bit on the dry side but still had great flavor. I’m a bit of a brisket «snob» so I’m extremely picky when it comes to this cut of meat. I asked for it «sliced and moist,» which means it should have come from the point. I’m sure mine was cut from the flat because it was so lean. With all of that being said, overall, I really liked this place and I’ll definitely be back to try it again!

Tonight we had the family dinner. Was more than enough food for the 6 of us and was absolutely wonderful!!! We have found our new BBQ place!!! We will definitely be going back to try everything in the menu!!! Most try but don’t judge this book by its cover!

You know how you see those awesome BBQ ads with the big burger and then you go in and barely get any BBQ on tour sandwich like with dickies? Well this is the exact opposite! You get what you pay for a burger that will fill a man up and is so delicious ten seconds later you wonder where it all went and start to wonder if you should have spent more time savoring it.
I always get the zombie burger with extra sauce on the side. It’s around 10 $ and comes with a bag of chips and a drink which I always get the lemonade. It’s what I started with and was soo good I never tried anything else!
If you want awesome better than average BBQ and don’t even happen to be in the area it’s worth the drive in my opinion.

I’m a BBQ snob, maturities is one of my favorites in the local area. Their sides are very good and they do a good job with their ribs. Brisket is pretty good as well. I wouldn’t say it’s outstanding, but it barbecue rarely is.

Today, I had the loaded baked potato and complimentary bowl of beans, and it was SO delicious and filling.
I’ve always had a great food experience here, and have tried many items since I discovered this place 2 years ago.
They don’t scrimp on the meat so be prepared to leave full.

We went here with our extended family looking for some good BBQ for all ages. Everything was amazing. The bake potato, the chopped brisket, beans, and lemonade were family favorites. It was all good though. Great smokey flavor.

Mmmmmm, BBQ! This place is really cool. A converted has station with good décor for the area, right on I-​20. I went here with some co-​workers and we were hungry. My two co-​workers got three meat plates and I got the Southern Slaw sandwich with pork. We were all very satisfied. Great customer service as well. I highly recommend this place!

Solid barbecue, it’s in a bit of a random spot right off 80, which made us think it had to be good holding its own just off the highway. We were right. The pulled pork and brisket sandwiches were great, and their barbecue sauce was perfect. They have a great outdoor seating area that we will be utilizing in the fall. Well done Shorty’s.

Brisket should always be on point. Maybe next time I stop it will a diffrent story. As far as the ribs and links go, they were good.
