Stanley Lin, DDS

This review is about the integrity of Dr Stanley Lin. D.D.S.
I broke part of a crown and got the message from my regular dentist they were closed for 9 days for «July Vacation». I looked on Unilocal for a dentist close to my home, and called. At first they said they did not have an opening for a few days, but I got a call back in a few, and he was able to see me right then at after 4 PM.
The integrity comes in when he looked at the tooth and said I was OK with waiting for my regular dentist, and not trying to sell me on a new crown or some other expensive fix.
As my regular dentist is getting close to retiring, I plan to make Dr Lin my new dentist in a rear or so. Was with my current dentist for (Gasp) 38 years now. — Yes he was right out of dental school back then. I stayed with him through several moves around the Bay Area.

Dr. Lin is a fantastic dentist. I visited another dentist in the area who told me I had 8 cavities, and needed deep cleaning for my entire mouth. I went to Dr. Lin for a second opinion, and he explained that I had no cavities (they were stains, not cavities). He explained that there was an area where I might need deep cleaning in the future and recommended I return in 4 months so he could monitor the area. He spent over 45 minutes with me, and didn’t charge me because I explained that I couldn’t return in 4 months because the second opinion appointment was using up my 2^nd annual visit allowed by my insurance. He said there would be no charge. He really is concerned about my dental health, and would rather see me return in 4 months to monitor my teeth, rather than make a quick buck off of the consultation. AWESOME!!!

My old dentist retired, so have been going to Dr. Lin. I am very pleased with his service and attentiveness. Most important, during procedures is very gentle since my teeth are a little sensitive.

dr. lin’s a great dentist. he does all the work himself (some dentists end up having their assistants do everything) and he is there to answer any of your questions. he doesn’t recommend unnecessary procedures and in fact has done some work for me out of the blue simply because i was requesting it with no charge

He puts so much time into your dental work! He actually listens to patients and when you have questions, he PERSONALLY calls you back (not just a receptionist). The first time I went to him I had to wait a while to see him but didn’t mind because when it was my turn to see him, I got very personalized attention.
Unlike other dentist’s offices where the hygenists or the assitants end up doing a lot of work, Dr. Stanley Lin does everything himself – including cleaning. His teeth cleaning is the best that I’ve seen in my experience of dentists. He uses a special ultrasonic tool rather than just scraping the teeth manually so that your teeth come out super clean.
Also, his prices are much more reasonable compared to other dentists that I’ve seen so I recommend him!
