The Lebanese food here is as authentic as it gets. Trust me, I’m Lebanese. I’ve been going here for 6 years, food and service have always been perfect. I always go for the chicken wrap combo with tabouleh and moujadara on the side.

So good. Mom and pop shop that does it right. Best Falafel in the area! Soft inside crispy(not crunchy) outside.

Authentic middle eastern food. Falafel Wrap combo was excellent. Chicken wrap had very tender shredded chicken though a bit spicy for kids. No aircon inside with limited space to sit. Maybe only 4 tables inside and 3 outside on the street.

This is one of the best falafels I’ve ever had! This place is run by a husband and wife who’s recipes are really authentic! The service is outstanding, upon my second time here, Ali remembered my order. The couple is really sweet and they truly care about their customers. The falafel is reasonably priced($ 8) and I’d much rather give my hard earned money to a mom and pop shop rather than reinvest my earnings back into a multibillion dollar companies’ occasionally subpar cafeteria food. Can’t get any better than this with great food, great service, for a great price. :)

A great little hole in the wall shop for middle eastern food. This place is run by an older couple and they are so nice and cute together. My girlfriend and I always share one falafel and kafta(beef) wrap with an order of meat pies(5 small beef/lamb pies). Everything is freshly made off the grill and taste delicious. Be sure to get the chili sauce if you like spicy! It is spicy so taste it before putting it on.

I haven’t had Lebanese food like this since 02 I eat a lot of Lebanese food too. The food instantly pronounced itself as great example of the authentic Lebanese cuisine. The service was absolutely spectacular I almost felt as if they were treating me as family and I returned a mutual feeling of love.

Chicken pies were hot but not so much fresh, but dis taste good. Shawarma bread is toasted and is crispy, radish in the stuffing is a good touch. Nice owners and good place for lunch /takeout

I love this place. Very small Mom and Pop restaurant, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. My typical lunch would be the falafel wrap with moujadera and humus. I have tried many of the other dishes, but I keep coming back to this. I rarely find moujadera on menus, not only do they serve it, but it is excellent. Their humus is very good. Their baba ganouj is very good. Their service is friendly and excellent. Simply put, you cannot go wrong here.

This place is easily amongst my favorite Middle Eastern Restaurants. Wouldn’t recommend eating in the restaurant itself as real estate is rather scarce but its great takeout food. We had the Miniature Meat pies, the shish tawook combo and the Kafta Combo. I highly recommend the miniature meat pies. Essentially its ground lamb and beef in soft warm bread. The combo’s come with choice of two sides. I had the baba ghanouj and the hummus. Both were great with the warm pita. The kafta and tawook wraps also tasted great. Overall I highly recommend this place. My only complaint with this place is its odd timings on weekdays that makes it hard to drop by(Mon-Thu 11am-3pm, Friday 5pm — 8pm, Sat 11am-7pm Sunday Closed)

The owners were nice people. However, falafel was horrible. Ordered 1 falafel wrap + falafel combo. The falafel inside was very old and didn’t taste good. Baba Ghanouj didn’t taste good either.

Very happy to finally try this place, small mom and pop spot, great for take out. I ordered the beef kofta wrap and the chicken meat pies. Everything was delicious. If you come around noon on weekdays there will be a little wait because there will be a line of people trying to place an order that works around the area. If you are in a hurry it may not be the place for you. They have a small selection on the menu but can guarantee you everything is great so don’t hesitate to try!

Had their food a while back, and loved the vegetarian wrap. I got a side of hot sauce to go with it, but whatever is in it, I want more. The restaurant: Small interior mom and pop restaurant with a couple of tables(3 – 4). I thought the place would be bigger, but thank goodness we did not go during the lunch rush so seating was not an issue. Will have to try some more items when I return.

This place is run by a very nice Lebanese couple. The wife hand makes all the food and it takes totally home made. I come here at least once a week and love the consistency of the flavor. I used to be a frequent customer of Dish N Dash around the corner, but now I can’t justify eating there while you have this option. Best shish tawook(chicken shawarma) in California, hands down. Nothing else needs to be said.

The best wraps ever, served out the door from a cute little shack of a café. The ingredients? Tender love and care from the best Lebanese hosts who are husband and wife. Everything is made in house, including the staples like hummus(they use a food processor the grind the lentils). Great flavor, refreshing in every way with the good quality ingredients. Also, they don’t charge an exorbitant amount so your wallet will love you. Combo plates are the way to go! Comes with a complete wrap, with your choice of lamb-beef mix or chicken. Sides include hummus, babaganoush, tabouleh, etc. This feels like I was transported for a quaint lunch in the middle east. A true hidden gem.

The perfect definition of a mom & pop shop. Totally love how this couple has brought their passion for food into restaurant form. Really good Lebanese food, and I’m picky too! 1) Perfectly seasoned kefta — you have to try the combo plate. 2) Also, shish tawouk(chicken) — super flavorful and one of my favorites outside of the Middle East. I always grab extra toum(garlic paste) and drench all my food in it. I have no idea how they make such a tasty one!!! 3) Meat sfiha — super tasty meat pies which are perfect to take home to-go and toast yourself with yogurt or hummos. My boyfriend loves these! I wish they were opened later/longer so I have more opportunities to visit them! Looking forward to my next trip to Sunnyvale Café.

Only been here once but i will DEFINITELY be coming back. The shwarma wrap was terrific. It’s tiny little hole in the wall; in fact it looks like they simply converted their living room into a small dining area and put in a big sink along the back wall. Anyways, don’t let it’s appearance scare you away, it’s one of the best wraps I’ve had on the peninsula. Judging by the pictures on the walls, these people are Lebanese. Summary: It’s cheap, it’s mom-and-pop, and it’s f***ing fantastic. Try it!

A near perfect lunch – other than the smell of burning rubber nearby… but that’s not the restaurant’s fault. So five stars it is! I had read the rave reviews and seen the tiny place while driving by, but I wasn’t entirely sure it could live up to the hype. It did. Every dish we ordered either met or exceeded our expectations. I ordered the Shish Tawook Combo w/Couscous & Hummus for the two sides; the girlfriend got the Kafta Combo w/Baba Ghanouj & Tabouleh on the side. We were both very satisfied and didn’t mind trading bites for bites because both dishes were equally great. Normally there is a clear winner for Best Order, but not this time. The place itself is so small and simple – the kitchen looks like it belongs in a tiny apartment in Greece. Can’t wait to come back and try the other menu items.

Sunnyvale Café hits all the good notes on multiple levels. Firstly, they are a complete and total dive, which I am a fan of. You would not know the quality level of the place just by its looks. Secondly, it’s family owned in the best way possible. When I finally decided to go in, I wasn’t immediately interested in the Shish Tawook, it looked kind of plain or whatever in all the photos, so I ended up with the Kafta Combo, and the beau got himself the Shish Tawook. The wraps themselves don’t look that big, but don’t let that fool you, they really filling. I ordered my combo with babaganoush and tabbouleh which were equally delicious and I managed to finish everything on my plate. The Kafta wrap was really flavorful and I enjoyed every single bite. It had a slight spice to it also which was a nice surprise. If I’m nearby I will definitely have to stop in and get another wrap for lunch or dinner and I’m so happy I was finally able to stop by and try their food!

I still go to their restaurant to get food. They always provide same excellent service. Their food is always on the same page, nothing is ever off. If you’re new, try their chicken wrap, beef wrap, meat pies, for dessert-baklava and for drinks-mango lassi. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do! Enjoy!
