Tiny Tots is my toddler’s daycare and we are big fans of Sandra, the owner. She is really laid back but the kids still seem to know exactly what is expected of them and are well(enough) behaved. Tiny Tots teaches basic stuff through play but is mostly a play based daycare. Sandra is also pretty flexible with parents — we didn’t even realize how good we had it until we started looking for education based preschools. The crazy rules at other places are a big red flag after being with Tiny Tots Daycare for so long. Anyway, we love Sandra and would recommend her if you’re looking for a safe daycare with good prices that cares about your kid. She offers full time and part time. We are sad that our boy is about to hit educational pre-school age and have even delayed enrolling in in the next step because Sandra is so awesome.

Review # 1000(Whoa — that’s a lot of Unilocaling!) This review is looong overdue. Call me a protective mama but I didn’t want to write about my son’s great daycare while he was still attending it. Now that he’s gotten older and moved on, though, Sunnyvale Tiny Tots day care deserves the spot for my 1000th review. :-) When my son was @ 6 months old, I bought a small company and started working from home ‘part-time’. I figured I could work mostly at night while he was sleeping… right? Well, it turns out babies take a lot more energy than most people realize so I began looking for some help. I’m not into the big corporate centers(they have too many workers in and out and SO many kids). I want to personally know everyone who may be in contact with my lil guy. Luckily, I found Sandra at Sunnyvale Tiny Tots. PROS of SUNNYVALETINYTOTS vs CORPORATE * More 1-on-1 care, they are almost like family and really love your child. :-) * Less illness with a smaller day care — my friends’ ‘corporate’ kids are sick allll the time! * Healthy meals are provided, and some other infant supplies — ask Sandra. * Personally know everyone who is in contact with your child — no revolving staff issues or changing teachers. * More affordable… in some cases, much more affordable. Also, hourly pricing is available * More flexibility in hours and even short term drop-off available(just need a few hours to yourself, mama?). * When I drop my son off(later than most) all the kids happily yell his name and come give him a hug. * I just trust Sandra and her mom… and that gives me peace of mind. Sandra’s set-up is a cozy home daycare that is completely licensed and insured. She started up in 2003 and has perfected the routine over the last decade. I’ve actually learned a lot from watching her with the kids. She’s great and always seems to have everything under control. Her mom, Lupita, is her permanent helper and they are both so sweet… and smart! They provide healthy meal choices, drinks and snacks, and are great with infants, toddlers and school-aged children! My favorite part of their day though is all the outside play my son gets. Their backyard is mostly shaded and completely child-friendly. My son loves the tricycles, slide, play house, and the numerous other toys. He also loves when they trek to the nearby park… which they do often when weather is nice! If you are in need of a caring daycare who will take great care of your child and allows full-time or flexible hours from 7am — 5:30pm M — F, please don’t hesitate to give Sandra a call. If we ever have another child(not likely), we’ll be back! I also recommend her to all my friends. Might see ya there!
