I’ve finally gotten around to writing this review. I’ve been here twice since it’s close by. My first experience here was not so great. I came by on a weekday during the time they still have their express items. I believe they only sell their hot foods until 4:30pm, Monday — Friday’s. They don’t have very many choices like many other express lines. Their chow mein was very bland and hardly had any veggies. There side dishes were okay. But you could tell that the food had been sitting out for a while. I wanted to give this place a second chance and thought I should order fresh vs. getting food from their express line. I ordered their deluxe chow Mein and black bean chicken. Both tasted great and were really fresh and full of flavor! The prices are a little bit high for the portions but if your in a pinch and close by I would suggest ordering fresh!

Due to the reviews, my boyfriend was a little skeptical about this place and a little disappointed with the price of 3 items(general tso, honey walnut shrimp, and 5 flavored chicken) and we were a little scared it wasn’t going to be that great but in reality it was very delicious! They didn’t make it until we ordered, and everything was warm, flavorful and it was definitely worth the price. We went again and just ordered the General tso chicken and honey walnut shrimp and the quality was still just as great the following week. Not sure what others are ordering but this food was definitely on point.

I normally don’t eat Chinese buffets, unless it’s from one other spot I go to in San Jose off Hostetter. Unfortunately, that one happened to be closed today, so I was looking for something fast and similar on my way to class and decided to give this place a shot. Upon arriving the inside was much smaller than I had predicted it would be. There was a young high school girl at the register speaking with what appeared to be the owner. The young girl was swatting a fly away from her to go box, which immediately should have convinced me to leave right then and there. Upon looking at the display case, the selection of entrees was very limited and there was literally only a small portion of fried rice available as with the other few options. It appeared as though the owner didn’t have anything freshly prepared which I found pretty odd given that it was 4:30PM which is typically the time most people eat dinner. My assumption is that this place doesn’t get busy on Monday evenings? Either way, I decided to go with chowmein since it was the only thing that looked somewhat fresh. I also decided to go with the lemon chicken and sweet and sour pork, which neither looked fresh as well. Finally I paid and asked for soy sauce and was out my way back to my car, the food was not hot what so ever, I had to reheat it before eating. I’m only rating this place 2 stars because this place definitely has some potential, because the food didn’t taste horrible, the management just needs to know what hours of operation make sense to have food out or not because I felt as though I paid for food that had been sitting out all afternoon because the management knows they aren’t busy enough on Monday evenings to have freshly prepared food for evening customers. I probably won’t ever come to this place again but for anyone else that’s in need of some quick Chinese food, perhaps you’re better off at Panda Express as I felt they at least constantly prepare food, regardless of business or not.

I started going to this place because it was right by my work… Granted this is take out Chinese food but it always does the trick. The usual orange chicken, pepper chicken and at times curry. There food is good and cheap. This restaurant on the corner has a lot of heart opened by this man named eddy. During my break I’ll get my food and chop it up with this guy. He is always smiling and greeting the kids who come into his store. He always put more than enough food in the togo boxes. I WOULDSUPPORTANYSUPPORTANYBUSINESS who loves the People! Some teenagers come short on money but eddy will always serve. It’s hard to see small business like this to survive because of the rent and the long work days kill the owners. However, I hope more people come and give this guy business because he is a definitely a hidden done gem in Sunnyvale

Legit. It was my first time making a Chinese delivery order, and to be honest, I did not get my hopes up about this place. It didn’t seem authentic at first glance, and let me tell you, I’m all about the authentic Chinese food. But this place blew my mind! I ordered shrimp chow mein, garlic eggplant, honey walnut shrimp, and potstickers. All super delicious and piping hot when delivered to me. Delivery guy was super nice, and food was excellent. Only thing was delivery minimum is $ 30 before tax, and delivery time can take a bit long, about an hour. But overall, would order again!

Szechuan gets the job done. If you’re looking for a large amount of inexpensive and average tasting food, then this is the place to go. The food won’t wow you with the taste, but they will fill the box to the brim with entrees. I had the Orange Chicken and the Fried Rice. The rice was really dry, and I’ll probably opt for the Chow Mein next time. But in total that meal ran me $ 5.50, and I was very full after finishing it. 3 Stars, for not being great, but not being bad.

I’m not picky about what I eat, especially when it comes to Asian food. First off they have a $ 30 min for delivery. I was a bit off by this but I figure I’d eat some later. WRONG… the chicken I ordered was chewy as rubber and the beef tasted spoiled. The only thing I got that was edible was the pot stickers, and they were pretty bad. 10⁄10 would not order again.

The food is eh. I had the broccoli beef and my husband had the Orange chicken. Service was good and it was convenient. A step up from Panda but leaves a lot to be desired. But I didn’t have super high expectations so I wasn’t let down. It’s decent for what it is but don’t get your hopes up!

I ordered some food via grub hub at 6:40. 8:40 we finally get our cold food. Driver said nothing about how late. The soup container was busted. The egg drop soup was terrible. Ordered two entrees and it did not come with any rice. Avoid this place. The food is bad and the is delivery worse.

OK. This review is gonna do very little for people who are NOT picky about their asian cuisine. So if someone says«Hey, I’m craving Chinese!!» and you respond with«Let’s go to P.F. Changs or Panda!!» then a) this review isn’t for you and b) you need to reevaluate your life. Moving on! My family used to religiously eat at Loch Chun another szechuan type of cuisine. Oh. so. THISPLACEWASMYLIFE! Literally my parents would eat there when they started dating, the people there knew us by name/order/family drama. WELL. Like 5 years ago the owners sold and now the place is shit. Literally. Horrible. So for the past 5 years I have been on the hunt for something that gave me the same feels as Loch Chun. The only thing close I’ve found(up until this place) was Chinatown Restaurant in Chinatown SANFRANCISCO. When I say I’m serious about my chinese. I’m not lying! My fiancé and I have/would drive all the way to SF just to eat, and then turn around and come back. Then one day, while we were at CVS, my fiancé looked over at Szechuan Garden Express and said«Hey, let’s try this??» I was soooooooooooo skeptical. I mean. the place is small, doesn’t «feel» like an authentic food joint. blah blah blah. Long story short I had very LOW expectations. We ordered Deluxe/Combo Fried Rice and Deluxe/Combo Chow Mein(two staples that CAN be done wrong. seriously, so many freaking restaurants can’t make a good friend rice!!!). Up until the time we got home and open the carton, I was expecting to be disappointed. BUT as soon as I took my first bite… OHHHHMYLANTAAAA! This shit was AMAZING! Now, let me tell you, it’s no Loch Chun(God rest your soul) BUT it’s sooooooooo close! No lie. Go here. Eat. Live life. Love life. This place will give you SO much life!!! The first night, we ate everything, literally NO left overs(which is the best part about having chinese take-out!) AND can we talk about the price!!! WHYISTHISPLACESOAFFORDABLE??? Not that Chinese food is particularly expensive but ohmylawd, this place is just everything! Don’t just take my word for it, GO and see for yourself!!!

We only tried chicken fried rice here. Ended up going there 6 or 7 times so far. Like that one item for sure.

We came very late after lunch time and the place was empty.(I usually try to bit lunch rush by arriving just minutes before 12pm, or very late after the lunch service ended. The service here was really good. The guy behind the counter was truly nice and helpful. Their prices are on the very very reasonable side, and portions are just it. The problem is that after we ate we felt the food is not kind to us. As someone else wrote and was exactly right — it was heavy on the stomach. It shouldn’t felt this way since we didn’t eat much. Each of us hardly finished about half our portion, and yet we felt bloated and uncomfortable. the first bite was very tasty but when we kept eating it felt wrong. i wonder why because someone here mentioned they do not use msg. well something they use in the food made us very uncomfortable to finish it and much more uncomfortable later on. I gave them three stars because it might be a mater of taste, so I’d recommend trying since prices are good and if you like it and it works for you then great for you.

The food ranges from delicious to meh. The mu-shu pork and shrimp and cashew chicken are quite good. The won-ton soup is really good. The chicken salad is dreadful. Unfortunately, I can’t eat spicy food, which limits my choice of menu items. They do delivery, which can matter a lot sometimes for me. The Grubhub order-to-doorbell time is usually about 45 – 50 minutes on a weekday, and the food arrives hot.

I was incredibly hungover and really craving Chinese food. As people who have experienced a hangover as incredible as mine was yesterday know all too well, almost anything tastes good when it’s greasy and delivered to your house. Unfortunately, this order was far from satisfactory. The only reason it’s even getting two stars is because I didn’t regurgitate it. My order was completely messed up and bland. I was a sad kitten with a pounding headache and empty stomach.

Me and some friends came in late, Eddie(owner) looked like he was closing down but he fired up the kitchen for 7 delicious dishes. Eddie has always been the best even when he used to have a location in downtown mountain view, i come here for great service and you get a big bang for. your buck.

LOVE this place! Eddie is the owner and chef and he churns out some pretty amazing dishes. No msg. Not too oily. Always well marinaded meat. We love these dishes: szechuan shrimp, chow mein, beef with broccoli, five flavor chicken, chinese chicken salad, wonton soup. Very reasonable prices for the amount of good food you get here. Skip PF Changs and come here to support a local business. Tip: allow a lot of time if you call in your order. Eddie gets really busy!

I have ordered take-out dinner here half a dozen times and been satisfied. I order broccoli beef which has plenty of both broccoli and beef and is tasty — flavorful, not too salty, beef is tender. My husband does not like Chinese food but does enjoy that dish. We have ordered assorted chicken dishes and have been happy with all. I always order eggplant in garlic sauce which has excellent eggplant flavor, but it is very oily so that may not appeal to all. I have a good take out experience here and it is close to my house so pickup is easy and fast. Staff is fairly disinterested but they know how to take my money and hand me my food, which is all I need. I make my rice at home and enjoy a decent Chinese meal at a good value. The beef, the eggplant, and one chicken dish out the door for $ 26 and it will feel 4 – 5 people no problem, a good value.

This has become our go to spot for Sat lunch after our kids finish their Chinese school. It’s nothing fancy and there’s only 2 tables for sitting, but the value is really good. The orange chicken and General Tso’s are definitely better than most I’ve had and the price is right. This is definitely better than Panda Express. If you want low cost and fairly tasty chinese food, this is a pretty decent spot.

No. If you are considering this place, keep looking. Service and food are both spectacularly awful. I work nearby. I did not find the ready-made dishes at the buffet appealing. I ordered the Eggplant in Garlic Sauce(with pork) as recommended by Betty N. along with a vegetarian egg roll. Cashier lady said she’d do the eggroll right away, and the cook would do my order in just a minute and it would be 15 – 20 minutes to make fresh. Knowing that would cut it close to when I needed to return to work, I hesitated, then said okay– I’d rather have something fresh and recommended by other diners. I went outside to the table on the patio to wait for my order. About 5 minutes later, I got my eggroll– lady recommended I eat it now while it’s crispy even though my main dish wasn’t ready to go yet. 30 minutes later, I walked in to figure out what the deal is with my order. Lady immediately says that she just CALLED her boss and it’ll be just a few more minutes– THECOOKISN“T HEREYET. Not entirely clear why my order was taken at all. Within ten seconds the back door banged open and I assume the cook arrived and set to work on my dish. I got it about five minutes later, with 3 free eggrolls, and ran back to work, late. Food was piping hot(as it should be), and the box was overflowing with eggplant– probably an entire vegetable in there! Unfortunately it was swimming in garlic sauce that was composed of at least 50% straight oil. This dish was super greasy. Burned my tongue trying to eat, made a giant mess at my desk, and ultimately threw away 80% of the order– eggplant was overcooked to mush, There were a few large cubes of tofu, but the pork in my order was tiny, stringy crumbles that probably together made up a single chopped piece of cubed pork. I would have rather had my refund and no lunch instead of my burned tongue, messy desk, and glaring boss.
