In a region ruled by kingfish and orange roughy, it was nice to find a spot of New England. Their clam cakes(fritters) were particularly good. Their CT version of a lobster roll — hot and buttered — was OK, some pieces were a bit chewy and not really warm. The fried food was wonderfully fresh, and I liked the beer batter as opposed to the typical breading. The finished morsels were hot, crisp and tasty. A bit on the greasy side., but still good. The fries which came with each meal, made from fresh, were another highlight. If you’re in the area and jonesing for good fried seafood in a casual atmosphere, Busters is the place.

Excellent food, been there twice, will keep going back. Fish and chips fried to perfection. Nicely decorated and tended by owner and family(who are all very friendly). I really like this place!

My husband and I wanted to get a quick bite before heading into the movies and this place was right next door to the theater. I’m not a seafood eater but my husband is, they had chicken nuggets and burgers and such so I was good to give it a try. What a mistake, I’ll start the what was good, the french fries after that, nothing, I ordered the spicy bangin’ chicken nuggets which I had to tell the order taker three times because she had no idea what I was talking about, I had to point out on the menu(yes you have it on the menu), first clue I should have turned away. My husband ordered the Shrimp roll, he was not impressed and the coleslaw was flavorless. I threw 85% of my order in the trash because like another reviewer stated, if I wanted Tyson«let’s make believe it’s chicken» nuggets I would buy them at the grocery store. I don’t eat fake chicken especially not for $ 5 and there was nothing bangin’ about them. The Bangin’ shrimp roll for $ 9 was a joke, it’s snack size a best. $ 18 wasted, we will not go back there again.

Ordered lobster roll this Sat night. Maybe 3oz. Of claw meat if I was lucky. $ 20.00 are you kidding. The person next to me also complained about the lobster roll too. Next time I’ll buy my own lobster and cook it myself. Something I can sink my teeth into other then bread

Munchie fix for fried fish and fries… so good! Everything was made fresh, and I like the New England vibe. First time having a dough boy too. I felt like I gained 10lbs after haha. :)

Was our first time here and it was great ! The staff was super friendly ! We started with the New England clam chowder which was delish! I got the lobster roll(butter) which was on the pricey side($ 20) and my bf got the spicy bang shrimp roll. He said his was great(he liked his better than my lobster roll). My lobster roll was good, I wish it had little more butter flavor to it but otherwise it was great! Both came with French fries and coleslaw. We would def go back and try the fish n chips next time!

Was looking forward to some clam chowder, thick and filled with flavor, got water, no flavor soup. Very diappointed. What ever happened to putting out a great product that has people coming back for more?

What a Treat to find Native Rhode Island Seafood cooked to Order, Fresh and at a Reasonable Price. You wont find Bagel’s and Shmears here or any New York Style Food here and I am Happy as a Clam. Being a Rhode Island Native, this Restaurant knocks it out of the park with delicious New England Seafood, Fresh Cod, Clam Cakes and Chowder was the best, every item cooked fresh and hot, we also had the Clam Roll, again outstanding. I had a chance to speak with the Owner, a Native Rhody and a kind man. Worth the ride, right next door to AMC Movies. I felt like I was home and will soon return for there delicious RI Chowder. Casual, Spotless Restaurant and Portions are Huge, I don’t know how they can do it but I felt back home, check the décor on the walls, all RI License Plates and Memorabilia. So glad we found this Restaurant.

Welcome to fried seafood Heaven. Especially if you’re from New England(especially Rhode Island) and want a taste of those regional specialties here in South Florida. Buster’s is a very casual, order at the counter, plastic utensils and plastic basket place. But the staff was still incredibly friendly and engaging. Well worth trekking up here from Miami, and I can’t wait to come back. We came here as a party of three, bought way more food than we thought we needed so we could share bites of everything, and of course devoured it all. My rundown: — Fried clams with the bellies. Favorite thing I ate here. So flavorful. So fresh. This is a must order. If you’re thinking of ordering clam«strips» — stop. Get serious and go with the clams w/bellies. You will not be disappointed. — Lobster roll(with butter, not mayo, though that is an option). Fantastic. Great quality lobster, and perfect balance between meat, roll, and buttery goodness. — Clam cakes. Buster’s is the only place I have ever seen in Florida selling clam cakes. For those not familiar: think of a larger hush puppy with a fluffier interior and chunks of clam. Buster’s are flavorful and they do not skimp on the clam. Loved ‘em. — New England Clam Chowder. This was solid. I wasn’t blown away, but it was better than many white chowders I’ve had in Florida. I would probably pick the clear chowder next time though… — Fish and chips. Very, very, good. Crisp exterior, meaty cod interior. What’s not to like? The french fries were excellent as well and seemed to me to be made in-house. — Doughboys. Another Rhode Island delicacy, doughboys are flattened dough covered in sugar — similar flavor profile to a zeppole, but larger and more flat. I got mine covered in powdered sugar and loved it. Oh, they also have excellent Gansett beer specials. Having driven and already consumed roughly 10,000 calories, I gave it a pass on this visit. A note: on the the first Saturday of every month, they have«Rhode Island» day with a car show, food specials, and hot wieners(another Rhode Island delicacy, and one not normally on the menu).

Buster’s is a small little place hidden away in a shopping plaza. All the food is fresh and made to order. We came during the week and got the lunch specials — fish tacos and fried shrimp. Everything was fantastic and tasted great. My only complaint is that most of the food is fried so it’s not the healthiest. Definitely worth a visit.

Came here for dinner tonight based on positive Unilocal reviews. I ordered clam cakes, clam chowder(new England), and lobster roll for dinner. Clam Cakes: based on the price(6 for $ 4.29) I was expecting them to be small, but they were huge. If you are hungry this would be a good deal, but I personally would’ve preferred them smaller with a higher clam to dough ratio. New England Clam Chowder: disappointing as it tasted sour. I hope it’s intentional and not because something had gone bad(I guess I’ll find out soon enough tonight !) Lobster Roll: For almost $ 20 I was expecting a full lobster equivalent of meat, but it wasn’t very large, and the bun(standard hot dog bun) was soaked with butter inside(maybe I should’ve ordered it with mayo instead). Fries were tasty though they came with too much salt. Cole slaw was a tiny container, nothing special.

Wow! This place is fantastic! I of course have to have a lobster roll every week. It’s just like the first time I ate lobster in Rhode Island every time I go back. The guys are all so sweet, customer service is above and beyond what you’ll get in a chain restaurant. Did I mention it’s so fresh and so clean in this establishment. TRYITYOU’LLLOVEIT!!!

Really surprised how much I enjoyed my dining experience here. While the owner has tried to make the atmosphere feel friendlier with lots of New England nostalgia, it’s still a little sterile feeling due to the metal seating. The food was really awesome though and the service very friendly. We had a shrimp and clam roll, «stuffies» and finished with some powdered sugar doughboys. The buttered roll was perfectly toasted and the clam strips were not super greasy as I have some to expect from a lot of South Florida venues. All of the food was really, really great! We also tried the special beer sold here and it was also nice. Light and refreshing. Can’t wait to come back here. This will probably be a regular place for my husband and I now.

Unilocal often leads us to some excellent little spots that we would otherwise never stumble across, and Buster’s is one such place. Here they do really good Rhode Island style seafood. The ambience is a bit fast-foodie but they have plenty of tables inside and out. We tried the excellent RI style clam chowder(clear broth and lots of thyme), the superb clam cakes and jalapeño cakes(fritters) were top notch — crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The lobster roll was expensive($ 19) but came with a huge portion of real lobster and a side of excellent hand-cut fries and a small pot of coleslaw. They had Narragansett lager for $ 3 a can which washed everything down well. We’ll definitely be back. I only wish it was more of a bar/grill style ambience which would encourage more regular visits and lingering over the menu.

We had a fantastic experience at Buster’s. Great service, great food and the prices were just right. We didn’t like the institutional fast food restaurant interior very much at all – it lacked warmth. — Crispy fritters, clam«cakes» 3⁄5. Underseasoned — Crispy fritters, Jalapeño 4⁄5. Underseasoned — Rhode Island clam chowder 5⁄5. — Fried scallops 4⁄5. — French fries 5⁄5. Overseasoned — Lobster roll with butter 5⁄5. — Cole slaw, 2⁄5. Yankees can’t make cole slaw.

First time wasn’t bad. Today wasn’t good at all. I ordered the fried oyster plate. It’s $ 15.95 and comes with chips/fries. The oysters were no bigger than my little finger and there were 8 of them in the order. The fries/chips it came with were about one small potatoes worth. To me, this was vastly over-priced and the fries were the worst I’ve ever had anywhere. My husband, on the other hand, had their fish and chips which he liked. The two pieces of cod are large and well cooked. I think his chips looked better than mine. Also, I’m not a fan of the vinegar-based cole slaw but I realize that’s probably the way they make it in Rhode Island. He also had a cup of New England clam chowder which he liked. He had a bottle of water and I had two Narragansett beers that were supposed to be $ 2.00 each but our bill ended up totaling $ 35 which is a lot of money for a lunch.

I had driven by Busters a few times but it had always appeared to be closed. This time however my fiancée and I rolled up to it this past Friday and it was open. The décor is fun and you definitely feel like you stepped into a Rhode Island seafood shack, the only thing missing was the sea outside the window crashing into some rocks. Since we were still in time to get one of the lunch specials that’s what we went with. She picked the shrimp lunch special and I picked the fish roll. The portions were perfect, the fries were freshly cut potatoes, they appeared to be Idaho potatoes. The shrimp was lightly battered and fried perfectly, they were meaty and extremely flavorful. My fish roll was awesome, you could tell the fish was fresh, it was also lightly breaded and flavorful. You didn’t have to bite down into two inches of batter before you got to the fish. The roll, was light, with a slight butter flavor and a light crust. Lastly the slaw was perfect, it wasn’t creamy with mayo instead it had a nice light vinegar flavor, crunchy and the perfect portion. We will definitely come back again, my next choice is going to be the lobster roll.

I’m so excited, they have three types of chowder. New England, Manhattan and traditional Rhode Island clear. To be honest, I really have to go back in order to give this place a fair review. I am from New England and drove 15 miles to try this place out. It is a cute shop in that it looks like a clam shack in New England. When we walked in, it smelled like new England seafood too. The staff were friendly and helpful. The clam cakes were hot crispy and had good flavor. The chowder looked good but didn’t have much clam flavor. We ordered a bowl of the white and the clear. The clear was mostly bland broth with some cubes of potato and very little clams. The fried squid was crispy and not over battered. The fries were excellent. They are hand cut huge fries with skin on them. I’m believing that the fish & chips are the best thing to order here.
