Golden Krust

I’ve never tried Caribbean food & saw this place while going to get a few things at party city. The guy who took care of me (Lamar) was extremely nice and welcoming. After I told him I had never been and he was more than happy to give me samples and help me decide with what to get. I ended up getting the oxtail with the rice and beans with a lime soursop which he recommended both & loved. I am HOOKED on the lime soursop drink!!! He was very attentive and made sure I was satisfied with my food. I would recommend to anyone and i will most definitely be back for the amazing food. So glad I stumbled across this place.

This place has amazing food. Good sized portions and friendly fast service. The restaurant looks very clean, and everything seems to be a good value for what you receive. The jerk chicken was amazing very tasty with the peas and rice.

My husband and I ordered Curried Goat and Jerk Chicken dinners… exceptional! Friendly service and great portions. I highly recommend them!

Great Jamaican food for a chain. I usually prepare my own but when time doesn’t permit this is my standby. Above average Jamaican food at reasonable prices. Killer «Curry Chicken» and «Braised Ox Tail» dishes. Numerous patty varieties. Try the «chee-​zee beef patty», it’s unique. My fave is the «jerk chicken patty». Definitely, try a fruit juice from the refrigerator like the «Sorrel» and «MangoSop with Lime». Very clean presentation. Super friendly and courteous staff. Glad this place is around.

Stopped in for lunch after I ate at the chinese place next door and saw all the people going there. (The chinese was not very good) So many people are not wrong. Had the Jerk Chicken lunch Special. Two sizable pieces of Jerk Chicken, a ton of spinach rice, fried plantains and veggies with a diet Coke, all for $ 6.88 including tax. I was early and ate at one of the five tables they had which were empty at the time but filled up quickly. In the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger: «I’ll be back!» Next time I’ll try the goat or the oxtail.

been here twice on my thirty min lunch. I do have to say I pre order my food great lunch special jerk chicken with rice, cabbage sweet plantains and A soda $ 6.88 and c the food is great enough to share… never a wait I’m in an out. very friendly staff. highly recommended…

Price was decent for the amount of food they give.

The food is underwhelming but the portions are good. I’m yet to find a Golden Krust location that impresses me.

I have given this place two tries already, and both tries it was a fail. I was there the second week they were open, as soon as I walked in it felt like a inferno. I like a good portion, that is what I’m use to getting when I go to Donnas and other Jamaican places. This place tho is right down the street from my place so it is convenient. But for what I’m paying for and what I receive in return I rather drive for 5 minutes to Donnas and know I’m going to get more that 5 pieces of oxtail (for a size large order!). That patties isn’t flaky, the food is just average. But if you have 5 minutes, do yourself a favor and drive to Donnas instead. P. s this place feels like the ac is always out on both times I went. Fix that, and don’t be so stingy with your meat portions!

Of all the Golden Krusts I’ve been to– this one is the worst. The crust on the patties are thick and doughy. Not light and flakey. The ackee and salt fish is bland.

I had the Curried Chicken Lunch special with Spinach Rice and Steamed Veggies. Yum! The food was a great value for the price of the lunch special and very tasty. The shop was clean and tidy and the staff friendly.
I highly recommend Golden Krust for a quick lunch.

I didn’t find this location on Unilocal so I decided to add it. I found this place only because it is next to my dry cleaners.
This is a Caribbean bakery & grill. They have a variety of patties from Jerk Chicken to Shrimp Patties. They also have good soups (red pea soup yummmm), pastries, breakfast, and house specials. During my visit I was recommend the Curried Goat. This is goat meat marinated in curry and some other spices. My meal came with rice & peas, two sides (steamed vegetables and fried plantains) and a soda ($ 6.99).
I don’t think the words «I’ll have the goat» have ever come out of my mouth before! I am glad that I tried it because it was great. It was refreshing to eat something different in this area. I am by no means in expert on Jamaican food but I am a fan.
They have lunch specials Monday– Friday from 11am to 3pm. They also have tons of jerk options to try. I think the next time I visit I’ll try the beef liver for breakfast. If you’re in the mood for something different give it a shot. If you’re less adventurous I would try the jerk wings or beef patties.
