Skyline Chili

I have never been disappointed with the food or service. The only regret I have is there aren’t more closer to my home in Coral Springs. The food is always fresh and to the table quickly. The service is very good. The chili is delicious. A must try.

As a native south Floridian, I had not heard of Skyline or Cincinnati Chili before. My boyfriend happens to be from Cincinnati and we, by chance, moved (unknowingly) down the street from Skyline. Him and I went– I had a cheese coney and a 5-​way – delicious. What perfect comfort food! The staff is warm and inviting and the food is always hot and delicious. It’s become somewhat of an addiction. A little bit of Cincinnati in Florida; how wonderful! I highly recommend Skyline in Sunrise, if you’re ever in the mood for something new, homey, and super tasty!

Always clean, always good! Yummo! I do not why I have stayed away so long, this is the best comfort food! Esp when it’s a little chilly out! The service is great, nvr wait!

We stop by last night and I’m glad we did the staff is very welcoming and friendly they even gave us free samples we had 3 5 ways and 2 hot dogs if u love cheese you will like this place

Nice place with some very friendly staff. When the lady heard we were all first timers, she gave us a sample to make sure we liked the chili and helped us order. My wife and mom don’t eat very much and were pretty much full already after the «sample» bowl of chili spaghetti. I had the burrito and they ordered Coney Dogs. The dogs are small, but with all the chili and cheese, my mom couldn’t finish it. They definitely don’t skimp on the cheese here. Each dog was loaded with cheese as well as my burrito. We left here stuffed. I like my chili a bit spicier than they make it, but they have a bottle of hot sauce if you want to give it an extra kick.

First time here and I have never have been a fan of any chili in the past. Decided to give this place a try and I was definitely happy. Tried both the coney dog and the chili cheese fries both were great. They both had Lots of cheese the chili does not have beans which I was happy about. Manager gave some free samples which was really nice. My only negative thing was all of the people who prepare the food which is everyone do NOT wear gloves. I’m a clean freak so honestly i really didn’t like seeing that.

Four of us had lunch and only my wife was an experienced Skyliner before this visit. The Manager greeted us promptly and warmly and provide lots of info how their beans and rice is not your typical beans and rice. Samples were freely given to help make decisions. All of us enjoyed our meal greatly and I loved my burrito. Our friends had the dogs and my wife had the 5-​Way. We went the next day to the other Skyline location where I had the Beans & Rice over spaghetti. My burrito at this location was better in my opinion but it was all good. Like the other reviews say, they don’t skimp on the cheese! If there was any downside at all, it is that the bathrooms are outside.

I got off the plane and went straight here! I live in Tennessee and the closest Skyline is in Kentucky. I had a 4 way and a Coney. Life is good when you have that. Small town diner feel, I love that. Owners are very friendly, love that too. Can’t miss when you eat here!

A nice place to eat. Clean and the food is good. Be prepared for something completely different if you’ve never had their food before. Almost everyone I’ve taken here has turned their nose up to the flavors at first, but then they all want to go back and eat here again. Its unique food at a good price.

I have been going to Skyline since I was a kid, I’m now 30 years old. This place is like no other. I even turned my son onto Skyline. They are all so nice there, they’re clean and the food is great!

For fast food, you can’t beat this. We’re not even from the Midwest but Munson lives Skyline. Hearty but quick, with friendly service. Whether you get the chili dogs chili potatoes, chili and spaghetti, or vegetarian chili, it’s steaming, savory, and filling.

This place is for those with a specific acquired taste– at least as far as the chili dog goes.
The staff is very friendly and fast and the food is priced pretty low for what you get.
We can’t really decide if we like it or not– they put so much sharp cheese on it that that is all you taste… I would prefer to taste the chili too, and maybe even the hot dog flavor would be nice if it was recognizable.
We might give them another try, since they were nice.

Wow, this chili smells the same way coming out as it tasted on the way in… how do they do that? Must be the magic of whatever is in those cans.
I absolutely love the little hot dogs, and they put so much cheese on it, great comfort food!
Just wish they were open late after a bar run.

My family has been visiting this particular Skyline Chili for at least 25 years now. Beyond the wonderful tastes that we have grown to love… is a wonderful family who we have witnessed growing up… along with us… as we travel a good hour from Palm Beach Country to indulge our Cin-​ful taste buds. The food and quality are prepared fully in accordance with all of the Skyline recipes… fresh oyster crackers… great iced tea… and the tastes of 3-​ways and coneys are the staple. But its the family-​owned and run atmosphere and history that differentiates this restaurant from others. We have witnessed 3 generations of the family work there… and with others on staff that have been there for decades as well. Fast, friendly, delicious… there is nothing more I can say.

I loved the original one in Cleveland in college, and like this one too. What a great way to spin spaghetti, with Chili and cheese! I like the pink beans better, but the standard regular vegetarian option is what I try always. Maybe another time i’ll try the chili on baked potatos. Great source of protein. Service is fast and low cost too.

Love me some Skyline!
Like others have said, you either love it or hate it.
It is not your typical chili, but once you try it you will want more.
I think I will go there tonite!

I got turned on to this place by an ex-​coworker that was from Cincinnati, and have been there too many times to count.
Go there with an empty stomach and an open mind.

I love me a bowl of chili. I was very psyched that I was finally in the area to check this place out. It’s an old-​school no frills place in a strip mall. I sat at the counter which was great because I could admire the chef’s skills. Orders were flying in and he was in a groove serving up chili dogs, chili bowls, burritos, and various spaghetti chili plates (called «ways»).
Once I sat down the waitress asked if I had been here before. When I said no, she immediately ordered me a sample «5-​way» bowl for me to try and see how I liked my chili. A five-​way is spaghetti covered in their famous chili, cheese, onions, and beans. The chef brought over the sampler and even took the time to explain it. The sampler was delicious! In addition, it was actually a pretty nice portion.
Although it was pretty amazing, I went with a bowl of loaded chili to avoid eating so many carbs. The bowl came out immediately and was piping hot. This was some GOOD chili! I also had a side of sour cream which brought it to another level.
When I was leaving, the chef told me that if I was watching carbs then they could add chopped hot dogs in the bowl next time. WOW!
Service was prompt and very friendly. While at the counter there were several regulars of which the entire staff knew their names.
Overall, awesome place, can’t wait to come back.

This is our first stop every time we vacation in South Florida. Fast service and friendly people, traditional Ohio food. And no snow!!! A winner.

The Greek-​style chili at Skyline is tasty. It’s not Texas (or Southwestern) chili, though, so you should be prepared for that. People from the Northeastern US might find it familiar (so I’ve been told). It’s pretty basic fare, served with saltine crackers. It’s not really my thing, but the prices were very reasonable and the service was excellent. I don’t think I’ve had better service anywhere in South Florida – and that gets them an extra star.

Every once in a while you come across a restaurant that you can tell is owned and run by people who care. This skyline location stands out as one of those restaurants.
The staff is very friendly, and they make you feel at home the moment you walk in the door.
Skyline chili is definitely an acquired taste. Not everyone likes it, but for those who do, it doesn’t get much better. It’s definitely not typical chili. If you have not tried it, I recommend that you give it a shot-​you never know, you might fall in love.
They also serve Coneys, which is simply a hotdog. However when you put the chili on it, and some other condiments, it turns into something special.
My favorite is the three-​way. It’s basically a plate of spaghetti covered in chili and topped with shredded cheddar cheese.
When you first sit down they will bring you a small bowl of oyster crackers. Great little appetizer, and also a great way to tone down the heat a little on their hot sauce.
If you can stand the heat, their hot sauce is simply out of this world. It’s vinegar-​based and very tangy.
They also offer some other things such as salads, but I always stick with the three-​way.
I give this one 5 stars because overall I can’t really find anything about the place that I don’t like. The food is great, and the prices are very reasonable.
Oh, and they have a counter too so if you’re dining alone, that’s very convenient.

P. S. I feel the need to point out that certain reviews on here are obviously written by folks who just don’t understand that Skyline chili is different than what most people know as chili. The reference to dog food in my opinion was uncalled for and ignorant. Just because you don’t know what spices are used does not give reason to insult the food. (Just my «two-​cents»)
