I’m writing to you today to discuss my recent and unpleasant move, which Thompson moving was hired to move my furniture. Unfortunately, I am less than satisfied with the service I received on November 19, 2013. Your employees showed up one hour late, they damaged multiple pieces of furniture and common area walls in the condo building, left my furniture outside in the rain and cursed at me several times.
When the movers arrived to the condo I informed them that my couch would not fit out my front door without the door being removed. They did not want to listen to me and as a result they dented and scratched the common area wall. They also did not wrap my white couch in my apartment like I asked, but instead down stairs in the loading dock after it was already dirty from being dragged on the floor. Also, my mattress has a huge tear in it because they decided to not wrap it and instead push and pull it along the hallway with not regard to the damage they were causing.
Once we arrived at my new home is when the altercation took place after they scratched my wood floors. They left the couch outside of my house ripping off the covers and dropping the cushions on the floor. They also decided to leave my dining room table, fridge and couch outside of my house and shortly after it began to rain. All the furniture items that where left outside where rained on.
When I contracted Thompson moving it was for them to provide a professional moving experience and correctly wrap and protect all my belongings and move them to where they needed to be inside my house.
I find it completely unacceptable that your employee was screaming, cursing and insulting a six month pregnant women. I was so shaken up by his actions that I began to have pain in my lower abdomen I was truly scared for my safety and my unborn child’s safety. This was one of the worst experiences of my life and I wish that no one else be subjected to this kind of treatment.
I hope that Thompson’s Moving Service places their customer satisfaction in higher regards than this. I would like to note that the man that was assisting your lead mover was extremely nice and apologetic for your employee’s behavior.

I aslo sent them this letter in november and still have not heard anything from them.

Never use them! They were 6 hours late showing up. When two men finally showed up at my apartment they were intoxicated and/​or under the influence. They moved my mattress into the hallway and then just took off. When I called them they claimed to have gone around the corner and never returned to complete my move. Long story short– I was never moved out of my apartment and incurred additional fees from my landlord. Never use them. They are terrible!

Do NOT call this company!!! These people will eat you alive and spit in your face when you try to argue with them!
They will lie to you and give you a quote, tell you that they will send out 3 guys and no matter how long the job takes, they will only charge a flat rate. Then the day of moving, they arrive and start arguing that you have WAY too much stuff (eventhough you said exactly how many pieces you had for the quote) They will ask you to get on the phone with the owner, who is a slimeball. He will tell you that he doesn’t care who quoted you, he is the owner.
