We came at close and they still let us in to get some ice cream. The coconut ice cream with hot fudge was wonderful. The young person working was very friendly and helpful and didn’t seem annoyed that we were there at the very end of her day.

I got a waffle cone with one scoop of Butterfinger and one scoop of Marion Berry(I know, weird combination). The ice cream was good, and the customer service was spot on; but, it was incredibly crowded and we had to wait while bumping elbows for a good 8 minutes. Overall, I thought this place was fine for not having to drive to Bend to get an ice cream cone.

I don’t go for ice cream very often. I’d rather have a beer but tonight was an ice cream night. I get it. Ice cream shop in a tourist trap. They aren’t trying to be salt and straw(but they could try to be decent). First: we make some damn good ice cream in the state of Oregon. Tillamook, Umpqua, Alpenrose. There is no reason to make your own unless you are going to take it to another level. I had a simple standby. Just a root beer float. Vanilla, root beer. thats it. Well, the soda was flat, and lacked flavor(imagine drinking the melted ice from a good root beer). The vanilla ice cream was overly eggy and lacked real vanilla flavor. To top it off, i got a used scoop that had bits of waffle cone stuck in it from the first time they tried to use it. experiences like this are why I don’t splurge on ice cream often. one star for the kids working hard and one for the awesome waffle cone smell wafting out.

Well… we’ve stopped in here a few times. The ice cream is really good… Its usually crowded and dirty though. They seem to have quite a few people working in the summer so no excuse for gross floors and sticky tables. Something as small as tidying up would go a long way. The idea of the old fashioned counter service is nice but when you dont even want to sit at the counter amongst the blobs if dried ice cream, thats pretty telling. The caramel corn is really tasty but for gosh sakes DON’T INCLUDETHEUNPOPPEDKERNELSINTHEBATCHBECAUSE I ALMOSTBROKE A TOOTHOH… ABOUT14TIMES! If you’re gonna make and sell caramel corn, you have to do it right.

My husband, 1.5 y/o son, and I visited Sunriver earlier this year(early Sept 2014) and I have been coming here almost every other year since I myself was a toddler. I have always LOVED goody’s, so it makes me sad to have to write a bad review but this past time we went it seemed as if the owners had changed or something? The quality of Ice cream was not as good as it normally was and the prices are absolutely ridiculous. I think it was like $ 6+ for a waffle cone… Single scoop. The first day I got a cookies n cream cone and there were 3 small chunks of cookie in it, so it was basically a vanilla cone. I thought to myself, maybe I just got unlucky and tried a mint choc chip a day or two later. Nope. The quality wasn’t good, it wasn’t creamy whatsoever and hardly minty. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not bad ice cream, and I love that it’s handmade BUT the quality for the price is a no-go in my book. We ended up buying an ice cream tub and cones from the sunriver grocery store that was a million times better and cheaper. Sorry Goody’s!

Absolutely great place to stop in after a good long bike ride. My children love this place.

Amazing ice cream. Their waffle cones are good. A little kid’s dream! Can get real crowded, but worth it. There is a lot of stuffed animals and other toys for the kids. Atmosphere is that of a old ice cream parlor in a small city, great! Always stop in when we’re in the village.

Praline had no pralines. Rocky road had one marshmallow in it(two people ordered that). Coffee ice cream was almost flavorless. I’ve come here for years and brought my extended family this time and we were very disappointed. Never again. They measured the scoop size to the exact oz and took a long time to deliver each order. It was like they were conducted a science lab. No cheerful personalities in the store either. We should have bought a carton of Ben and Jerry’s from the grocery and a pack of cones and would have spent much less money. It’s too bad the quality has degraded so poorly.

Best old-school ice cream and soda fountain anywhere. This has been a regular stop on every trip to Sunriver since I was a kid. I used to think this was the only place you could buy some of the candies they have here. The selection is rather impressive. The location in Bend is similar and equally cool.

What pisses me off are the adults that rate down the youth for working in a candy store. If you’re getting what you came for quickly and error free — what is there to complain about? It’s «Effy» because there are young kids? What, do you think they’re going to spit in your ice cream while you watch them scoop it? No adult would spend their summers scooping ice cream, so I applaud the kids that take time out of their summers to help serve the demanding and selfish adults that walk into an ice cream parlor. Congratulations. How self centered, ungrateful, sour and bitter can you sound when writing a review about young kids doing their job. You adults sound so closed minded. You want to inspire kids to take the initiative to further their life? Don’t degrade them because of their age, you should be complimenting them for being mature with their time and doing something productive.

Hands down, far and away, the best oreo cookie ice cream ever. It’s worth the wait just for that. Handmade waffle cones/dishes are fantastic. They make candy and chocolates that are to-die-for as well. The thing keeping me from a 5-star rating is the wait and the service. They employ young people, and it’s the perfect starter job, but they are slow, and sometimes not especially friendly. I’m sure a busy ice cream/candy shop can be stressful, but that’s where good employee training comes in. Cheer up. It’s ice cream. You’re making people happy.

In Sunriver and need an ice cream fix? Yep, this is the place! Generous servings served by a friendly staff. Prices are not bad at all and about what you would pay anywhere else. The ice cream is made in Bend and apparently Goody’s is expanding to Eugene’s 5th Street Market so I will have to check that one out. Had the Coffee Bean ice cream and really liked it. The oldest daughter had cookies and cream and raved about it. Place was clean and service was quick.

Fun place, always seems to be packed and crowded. Confusing way that they deliver the ice cream once it is made/scooped. But we go there many times each time we stay in Sunriver. Oreo cookie ice cream is excellent with the huge chunks of cookie in it.

My family and I ate at Goodies a couple of times while on vacation at Sunriver. It is the only icecream place in the village and is VERYVERY crowded, pretty much at all times, but the staff works quickly and efficiently to service everyone in the line. The line moved very quickly and the gals working there were very friendly and nice. The ice cream is delicious. I had the chocolate chocolate chip and it was the best I have had. Everyone loved their ice cream cones. We got 5 ice cream cones and 4 caramels for 23.00 — not too bad for resort prices. We will be back!

Goody’s is like the only ice cream game in the village. It’s the place people go when they’re done with riding bikes and swimming. Anyway, there’s a line on the left for candy and/or ice cream and a line on the right for ice cream only. That line on the right goes out the door when it’s busy. $ 3.50 for a single scoop. Is it worth it? Flavors change daily, but I’ve experienced creamier before. The marionberry sorbet was ok, and the chocolate almond had lots of almonds. Once in a while I think this place is alright. There’s a few places to sit inside and out, but if you don’t like mobs of people and short people with sticky fingers, stay away.

We set out to get an ice cream cone later in the evening. Goody’s was suggested and we rushed over to the village to see if it was still open. Success!!! The atmosphere is pretty down to earth. It is located right across from the ice skating rink, which draws in everyone. The wait in line was worth it. The ice cream is above delicious. I had the oreo and it was amazing… no crunch… just the deliciousness of the cookie itself. The candy is perfect for just about anyone. The service is great. Everyone was cheery and helpful even though the place was super busy. This is a great place to take your family at any time.

Always busy, friendly-ish staff(no one is over 18 years old so… a little iffy), good selection of treats. BESTOREOCOOKIEICECREAM. It’s deliciously packed with Oreos. Like, ridiculously packed. If you’re in Sunriver or Bend and are craving a little sweet treat, you could do worse. It’s fine. Does the trick!

Arrived at about 3pm on a hot afternoon and was greeted with a sea of people. BUT… Goody’s has their system down and we were whisked into another line, ordered, and received our ice cream very quickly. Vanilla bean and coffee ice creams = yummy on a hot Sunriver afternoon.
