service good, food not so much. served beer from bottom of keg — undercooked burger. meh.

Watched Game 7 of the NBA Finals here. Great atmosphere, well-let, and the televisions were big enough. Our food server was super attentive and made sure that our beers weren’t empty for long. My group started out with the sampler flights of beer, which I highly recommend. Last thing, the crinkle-cut French fries are a must.

Came in for breakfast. The service was great and quick. The food was outstanding. We had the biscuits and gravy and huevos rancheros and loved both. There was tons of pork on the huevos. We’ll definitely be back.

Customer service isn’t exceptional, they are nice but it just seems a bit forced. Food was great considering such a limited menu. May come again, may recommend.

We dropped by the Rat hole for beers and an appetizer and had a great time. The brewery has a nice relaxed atmosphere and our server was on the ball and very sweet. We tried their Lemon wheat beer and the RPM and both were delicious. The steamer clams were fabulous and not chewy at all.

I have been here twice once on a slow day when they first opened and they didn’t even have their own beer. The bar smelled like moldy wet rags. The second time I went the service was terribly slow and we had three different waitresses that couldn’t keep our order figured out with 10 people. The bar tender was cussing at the waitress saying they didn’t have any F’n glasses and again the bar smelled. My parents came here a couple weeks ago and had very poor and slow service. Rat whole can go back to bend.

This place has potential… but it has a long way to go. This review is solely based on the service, we did not eat food. When we first arrived with a somewhat large group they told us we could move two tables together. We opted to sit around the fire pit, which was a fine alterantive. We asked if dogs were okay and they skeptically said only on a leash. We also asked for a water bowl for our dog and got it halfway through our time there after asking a few times. We told our server that all we wanted was beer. After ordering our beers it took 15 – 20 minutes to get our beers. When we had questions about the beer(difference between IPA’S and where the breweries are located) neither the server nor the bartender knew the answer… The staff needs to be trained properly on the food and drinks they are serving so they know how to answer basic questions. Also a bit of a positive attitude or an apology and explanation for why things take so long would be good!(It was not busy when we were there).

Great food. Hatch Chiles stuffed hush puppies comma portobello mushroom burger with roasted veggies, pulled pork, really something for everyone. Great Brew too. The inside of the restaurant seem kind of dark and had no interest in eating in there but it was a sunny day and we sat outside. Breakfast menu looks pretty great too so we’ll probably go back!

Here for breakfast. I was the only customer on a Friday.(They only have breakfast Fri.-Sun.) There aren’t many choices for breakfast in Sunriver, so I suppose it might be worth a visit. I got a classic benedict, which was OK at best and a bit overpriced for the amount of food I got.

It’s nice to have some alternatives to the usual local watering holes. This place has potential but still has a way to go to match the nearby competition. The beer is imaginative but not polished, and the video poker and country music may suit some but not all for ambiance. Not a bad place for an after ski beer on your way down the mountain but I think some other nearby places are better options for an evening out or a family dinner.

Had dinner here last night or drinks and apps I should say. The happy hour go untill 7:00 I believe and they have $ 2.00 well drinks. Wr had the hush puppies, shrimp, cheese sticks and the pork belly. The pork belly was a disappointment as it was just a thin piece of bacon on top of slaw. Staff was friendly and prices were ok.

My husband and I heard about this place from some friends. So when our favorite breakfast place was packed, we decided to give Rat Hole a try since the sign said they now served breakfast fri-sun. It was a little odd walking in and all we saw was a big open space. No hostess station or entry really. However, we found a seat and were quickly greeted by the waitress, Caitlyn. My husband ordered a side of buttermilk pancakes, which were delicious! Then our orders of the classic Benedicts came out and we weren’t disappointed. Everything is made with love. The hollandaise was lemony, the eggs were perfect, the ham was thick and the slice of tomato hiding under it all gave a nice freshness to the dish. I wasn’t a huge fan of the spice on the potato as it was a bit overpowering for me but they were cooked great. Also they make their own scratch hot sauce which was delicious. The coffee was strong, just like we like it as well! At the end we were asked if we wanted a to go order of donuts. When she said they were like an oversized cake donut donut hole, I was sold. When they came to the table they were hot so I just had to try them immediately… And OHMYGAWD… they were yummy! I ordered the side of caramel sauce but it was more like butterscotch, so I would personally order the side of chocolate instead next time as that flavor isn’t my thing — But that is more of a personal preference thing and nothing that they did wrong. Overall we were pleasantly surprised and we look forward to coming back to try other items in the future!

Very nice place. Our waitress was wonderful. Always checking on us and making sure we had everything we needed. We had a group of 8 and sat at a table in the bar. I had a bowl of the daily soup and the roasted vegetable tacos. Very good tacos. For $ 3.50 they come two to a plate which is actually four corn tortillas full of wonderful veggies. My husband had the broasted chicken which he loved. Very moist chicken and cruncy breading. He was very pleased with his dinner. We will be back next time we are in town. A new must stop when in Sunriver.

This place needs help. Our server was a gentlemen. That was the only high point. The food(we had only small plates) was akin to something you’d find at a rest stop in Nebraska. Anemic, limp, flavorless weird creations… Wonton wrapped cheese sticks? Fusion in the worst way. The heart is there. The ambience in the bar is welcoming and warm… yet the dining room is cavernous and awkward. I think some help from an executive chef is in order. The beer was hit or miss, nothing exceptional, especially for central Oregon. A pass for now, but perhaps they will improve once established. My dining companion says he’s had worse. Hoping not to be negative, but constructive. A plate of nachos or standard pub fare would have been nice.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The waitress had no idea what a dirty martini was not a vodka red bull. Our food was the poorest quality I’ve ever experienced plus a hair for a treat at the end.

Great service, live music, pool tables, foozball, family friendly atmosphere! Great for couples, adults, families, and large groups(and they take reservations). Enjoyed the live music on Saturday night!

This is a great addition to the business park outside Sunriver. The food is very good. Extensive bar and beer menu. Very comfortable ambiance. They have great deals between 4 – 7 for happy hour. No reason to go to the mall for dinner now that this place is open!

This brewery left a lot to be desired. They had three beers on tap, a rotating red, peppermint porter and lemon wheat. None were worthy of writing home about. Good thing they have a decent menu and a bunch of other beers on tap from quality breweries. The service was terrible. The waitress was nice enough but a complete ditz, she messed up my order and seemed entirely confused about any questions I had. She knew absolutely nothing about beer or the menu. I would suggest a little more staff knowledge training and a focus on quality beer if you are trying to compete with the other great options in the bend area.

Came in with no preconceptions. Loved the service, the owner came over to say hi and the food was fantastic. Loved the broasted(fried?) chicken crispy and delicious. Also thought the soup and salad was perfect. I guess they just opened and still getting the word out– we will definitely be back.
