Great yummy wood fire pizza! The scenery and atmosphere is beautiful. It’s like a hidden treasure! We make a point to come 1 – 2 times in the week we are in Sunriver. Kids and adults will love it! Oh and you can’t forget to get the gelato. All you need is one scoop, it’s rich and smooth!

Nice outdoor seating, although inside is slightly institutionalized. You order and pay at the counter and are buzzed when ready. Pizzas are yummy, got Mediterraneo, Pepperoni, and Cheese. Outdoor acoustic guitar on Friday evenings was enjoyable. It was a hot evening so more shade would have made it even better.

Although Caldera Springs is officially part of Sunriver Resort, this nice little restaurant has not been discovered by the summer crowds of SR. Zeppa Bistro is a great place with a beautiful view of mountain and lake. A real find. Good microbrews on tap, delicious pizzas, and good salads and panini sandwiches. And they are grateful for your business! Highly recommend it. We ride our bikes at SR and then lunch at Zeppa’s.

Great location to go to dinner with kids. We sat outside on the patio and watched the sun set over the lake while enjoying delicious thin crust pizzas. They have s’mores kits with everything you need and a fire pit by the water. Loved the spinach strawberry salad. Friendly staff and great service. Excellent overall!

While the food and surroundings are fine, be prepared to be treated like a second-class citizen if you’re not a Caldera Springs homeowner. We’ve visited Sunriver, staying at the main part of the resort, for about six years. After spending about $ 80 on golf, we went to the Bistro. Because a 20-person order was underway, they said to expect a wait, but couldn’t estimate how long. We took our chances and sat in the nice game/TV lounge across the foyer. Two other people were in the room, a couple of kids watching TV. Our kids began playing pool and shuffleboard, responsibly and quietly. Then Katie from the foyer came in to tell us, politely but curtly, that we weren’t allowed to use the games because we’re not Homeowners Association members. Never mind that the Bistro people said it was okay to wait in the lounge. Never mind that the lounge was virtually empty. Never mind that, in other parts of the resort, our accommodations count us as homeowners. Never mind that the map in the lobby showed a bunch of unsold lots in the development, and we’re interested in buying property in Sunriver. If everyone else who works in the foyer acts like Katie, why would anyone want to spend time there. On the other hand, the food finally arrived, and Larry and the others who prepared and brought it to us couldn’t have been friendlier. Pizzas and sandwiches, while a little overpriced, tasted fine. The cashier was a little overwhelmed by the crowd arriving close to closing time, but that was the only downside to the Zeppa Bistro experience. The homeowners association staff in the foyer should take lessons in hospitality from the Bistro staff.

This is more like a take out food place than a bistro, but wait — They have wood fired pizzas and amazing salads. Everything is just a little different but in a good way. The tomatoes are yellow or they are pear shaped. The basil on the pizza is «mini basil» — looks like basil sprouts? You order at the counter, then go outside to a table with a lovely view of the lake and surroundings. When your order is ready, they buzz you or if the counter isn’t busy, they will bring the food. They have several beers on tap and some good wines by the glass. Wish they offered bigger napkins instead of cocktail-sized ones(we are eating PIZZA), as well as silverware in place of plasticware. Worth the extra minutes to go to Caldera Springs Resort if you are staying in Sunriver.
